My sponsor told me he got a job with Dubai taxi for me. According to him, the visa is out but what I don't seem to understand is that he said the company is paying for our ticket and wants us to come together the same time. Like we are 18 in number that were given the job. Is there anything of such??

Yes it's possible. Some ppl wants logistics handled same time. Unless there is something else going on with your agent.

Yes, you must thumb print on your labour contract for workers of fourth/fifth skill level before your employment visa will be processed.


Skill level 4 and 5 are primarily unskilled workers without any qualification.

Examples of these professions includes General laborers, house keepers, Construction Laborers, Helpers, Cleaners, Loading and Unloading workers, Office Boys etc.

You keep mentioning a friend and some guys, what were you asked to do, then do it in order to get your employment visa.

Please kindly advice me.I got an offer of employment after a Skype interview as an engineer from a Dubai engineering company to represent them in East Africa.As HR requested to process my visa,work and residency permit I have forwarded to them documents requested including unattested academic and professional qualifications.If I had seen this forum before sending my documents I would have attested them.My question is,is my visa and permit going to be base on UAE or the country am traveling in the East Africa immigration/labor laws? Am currently working here in Nigeria.Kindly advice me oo,am a novice on this.

The company should be in a better position to answer this. However, you can also have the UAE residence and be working in the East Africa as long as you don't stay outside the UAE up to 6months else your work permit becomes invalid.

And it is a UAE work permit, they would require attested documents before an Engineer profession can be stamped on your residence.

I'll advice you to hold on until the company that hired you gives further instructions/update.

Lastly, you should have asked all these from the company before accepting to send your documents but it seems you don't understand what the job entails after all.
