Gasket was changed cos it got burnt ...


Didn't know it was gasket initially when car wasn't starting so we kept cranking for days before we discovered it was gasket and we changed it and it started right up but cldnt raise... once we try to raise on throttle, it goes off and mechanic tried to check for the fault... then it went back off and since then, just cranks and cranks but won't start...

Now it sparks and nuzzle opens well but still won't start so mechanic said it's left to compression and we shld change engine

Possible scenarios in this case
1. Mechanic set timing wrongly.

2. Engine computer picked it up and refuse to start.

3.timing skipped and damaged valves.

My advice, find a Nissan specialist, do a compression test on all cylinders, take off the timing chain cover, inspect timing properly (with a manual and not by eye) then scan engine computer for possible codes.

Thank you Sir, for your response. I would also like to know the following:

1) Can bad or locally constructed (using tyre) gear box sitting be responsible for the steering vibration that occurs when I depress the brake while gear stick is on Drive or Reverse??

2) Will using the car without the Inhibitor switch harm the transmission of the car in anyway?

3) Since the honda bullet is a very old car, is it still possible to get a replacement prat for the inhibitor switch in the market?

1. way-ahead means you are hopeful of getting a scan result. Some dashboard cel doesnt come on at all
2. I used paper clip and make sure u push it in with some muscle(force).
3. With theory, i mean the youtube and other stuffs we read online

1. Mine was 41-HO2S, oxygen sensor and my o2 sensor is bad
2. The port is a 2-pin blue harness(connector) under passenger side glovebox(pidgin hole)
