Mickael2:when nacho was in. The whole team were terrible in possession. It was like they didn't know what to do. Then the coach made a tactical change by introducing a crosser and a header. The team then had a plan in mind. And it was the substitutes that did exactly what they were brought on for. Lester a too conservative and if nacho should thrive, he must alter his game pattern and learn to drop deep to collect the ball and burst forward. there were about two situations where he did that. |

Icon4s: I'd rate him a little above 4.5 if I am being fair and that is because I am putting into consideration the fact that he was playing against taller opponents, that bad yes. He was average on rare occasions, hardly had any meaningful input in the game, complete with a yellow card |

The day KC traded his game for British passport was the day he abruptly set himself up for failure. He would have been better of, in a system that favours his style of play somewhere outside England, though in one of the top five leagues. That said, look how he let this chance given to him today, slip. Dude was atrocious today, Shakes had to save his sorry ass by yanking him off. Chai who are his advisors? Plz we should do everything possible to get Tammy aboard the ship because with Kelechi's form and Ighalo's ever erratic style of play, I doubt we would be able to sail when the ocean tides rise in Russia. 9 Likes |

What buildup are we even talking about? Is it the one where his touches and ball control can't even be in sync with the way he runs. His ball control is becoming heavier by the day. I don't even know who to complain about. I don't think Vardy and Iheanacho can play together. They were making similar runs today. I was happy when I saw a Spaniard, Iborra, in the MF, but that one self has been demonized by the uncultured passing at Liecester. Iheanacho would now be under immense pressure to score and I hope that does not affect him. EEGA: |

Icon4s: I would say SS, ofcourse that is because I expect the 10 to atleast drop deep and help build attacks which he did not do |

Well Brazil cared. Go read about reports before that Brazil World Cup. Just because you are not a fan of those national teams you may not be aware.. The issue is that those nations can live without those players because they have other options. But that doesn't mean they never tried or hoped to get that special player of interest. So whether we improve our grassroots development or not, we have to be looking out for players that can add something to our team irrespective of whether they are homegrown or not. I bet you, if Onyekuru for example was not capped by Nigeria, and he scores like 50 goals.. Belgium would try to get him to playing for them by first offering him a passport. If Im not mistaken that was almost the case with Imoh Ezekiel. Sentiments never come in when you are out for excellence. We need to get it right at the home front. However, our approaching talented abroad-bred players should be commended, as long as these players can add something to the team. Kog45: 1 Like |

Yes I would accept him in camp. And if he shows he is good enough to make it to the world cup, why not? Why tag these players? I want the best always, no sentiments. no discrimination. Modified We can't praise mediocrity, because that's what it was even then. If not for MRI, even till this day we would do everything to win the U17s even if it means fielding 25 year olds. I'd rather take a deserving Alaba. If I were the coach I would have done my best to stop age cheating long before the coming of MRI. Now that's the same type of mindset we need to fix our grassroots development system -- with sincerity and integrity. goldfish80: 1 Like |

TURKEY: Super Lig - Round 8 Bursaspor 3-1 Osmanlispor Super Eagles defensive midfielder, Mikel Agu shown like stars after scoring his first Super Lig goal and also helping Bursaspor with an assist in their home win. Agu's assist came in the 30th minute, when he planted a header off a corner kick for Romanian striker, Bodgan Stancu to finish. He scored a goal of his own 8 minutes later, after he placed a left footer past Osmanlispor defense and goalie. Icon4s: The system works for Spain. Not Nigeria. Same goes for France, etc. I wonder what you are talking about Mourinho choosing to park bus. That is his Cup of tea and I even wish he plays like that all season. I am talking of Rashford looking less than average in the system. Yes, Nigeria has quality talents but we do not have a fair ground to nurture and raise our talents. Something Brazil has in abundance. If our league is as developed as even South Africa, the quality of our pool will increase. Nigeria's problem also has to do with bias and sentiments which is seen as football gospel. So when a talent like Dele Ajiboye comes out, there is little help for his growth despite his talent. It is like that for thousands to millions of talented Nigerian kids that are wasting. It seems you have forgotten the video analyst also works during camping and screening. In camp, he will have a more conditioned to continue his study. The analyst will also work with Rohr to develop the pool list for camping. |
