I am really really confused, I need to chat(Whatsapp) with someone who have gone through the process or familiar with it. I prefer Brandon university. Undergraduate program How much is the tuition fee for accounting?. Is the tuition fee paid yearly/installmentaly or paid altogether?. Do the tuition fee cover both feeding and accommodation?. Will I get a job there to cover all expenses or do I have to rely on sponsors while studying? Someone please help me out.thank you.. |

franksam2009: Hello, I'll answer your question because you are my Name sake... lol. Brandon University is one of Canada's cheapest university, if not the cheapest. Annual Tuition fees in Accounting for 30credit hours goes for 6758CAD. Other miscellaneous Expenses like student service fees,U pass, student fitness fees etc... plus the tuition will cost you for a year = 7677CAD. Brandon always advice students to budget 18,000CAD for annual tuition and living expenses. In respect to the tuition it is paid Annually(Only if cic instructs you to do so) Be guided that tuition fees don't cover your living Expenses like feeding and Accomdation. You need to have 10,000CAD handy for your living expenses plus tuition fees for a year. Of course yes, if you are the hustling type you will get job when you get there, (getting a job in Canada is not easy as you think) in as much as you will be issued your study permit and SIN at the point of entry (POE), so this makes you eligible to work 20hours per week while studying and you can work as much as you can without restrictions while school isn't on session(OFF CAMPUS). So, you don't necessarily need to rely on your sponsor for all your expenses, either you will depend on him a little mostly for tuition fees, while you settle your bills for your living expenses. Because i doubt if you will get a job that can cover both your living expenses and tuition fees while studying in Canada. √On this forum we advice applicants to pay their annual tuition fees(7677CAD) while your sponsor deposits your living expenses (10,000CAD) into your dorm account (This serves as a proof of commitment to your sponsor), After all, make sure your sponsor has enough sufficient funds remaining to cater for his family, business etc... I hope this information helps NameSake! Good luck in pursuit of your Canadian dreams. 5 Likes |

Hello house 3 months in Canada and schooling .. well I can say I give God the glory even after 2 previous rejections.. if u just got rejected don't stop trying ...I can say it's Worth it all. I just want to share my experience here but I guess this guy's have said it all for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N885zH7Qruk 5 Likes 1 Share |

5 million is too small...put into consideration house rent nothing less than $350 per month and feeding..and remember you are paying international student fee....5million will take u no where..and remember you are only allowed to work 20 hours a week which you will get paid like 11 to 15$ per hour and u have alot of assignments and reading.. abroad school is not a joke when it comes to education and u must buy clothes also..... So 5 m is tooooooooo small don't forget the 13% tax in Ontario money is highly needed and 5 m will not do it all franksam2009: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Austinpee4: 1:18pm On Oct 20, 2017 |
franksam2009:Not necessarily "rich". Actually, studying and living in a country like Canada isn't cheap compared to Nigeria . Standards and costs of living are different. 5m isn't the benchmark to process anything. Funds you will need depends on your tuition, living expenses(standard) and possibly if you have funding from a school, a scholarship, loan etc and importantly, the prevailing exchange rate of forex. Funds could be more or less depending on your circumstance. So there is no rule of thumb as to a category of people or person(s) that can afford studying in Canada. Weigh your options, have a backup, capitalize on all possible opportunities you can have. The elephant in the house is satisfying an officer that you can financially support yourself during your study without working. You MUST have funds for your study atleast the first year. It's alot easier once you cross this hurdle. 2 Likes |
