So, your pastor's offering can buy them?

Calm down and listen to me. Stop glorifying a man like you. Other people contributed to those bags and you want to give all the credits to your pastor. If he is so generous, why didn't he ask that the jet be sold and the money given to the poor.

Would Jesus or any of the Apostles or Early Church leaders have accepted such an expensive gift when billions are suffering all over the world? You want us to see the good works of your pastor as if only his money went into it. I am even sure that he didn't even contribute one kobo to the purchase of those bags.

You are not a Christian.

The same spirit that made the 'thief' and 'hypocrite', Judas tell Mary Magdalene when she was 'wasting' a very expensive perfume on Jesus' feet to go SELL THE PERFUME AND GIVE THE MONEY TO THE POOR.
The Bible commented: This he said not because hr cared but he was a thief.

Bro, you are not a Christian yet.

Not criticizing...... yet...... but, asides being a pastor, what else does he do for a living?

millions of people, home and abroad(including me) especially those whom he has touched their lives one way or the other and impacted give him freewill offering. he doesnt have to beg.
numerous companies place him on salary, some on a yearly pay even witout his prior notice. he doesnt have to beg.

even non.members out of their own freewill gives him... he doesnt have to beg.

Stop proving smart. I know there are multiple tithes but we are talking about the one that your pastors collect using the curse in Malachi. The Levites would be at the gates to collect tithes. Before the priests, the Levites would tithe a tenth of tithes (the tithe of tithes) which would be put in the storehouse of the temple for the benefits of the temple workers. Show me how you tithe today and stop trying to be smart. I am not a kid in Bible studies.

I can see u have issue with tithing. Have you ever done a personal bible study on tithing? Pls get a concordance and read all the chapters in the bible that contain tithe, tithes and tithing and pls come back and give me your overall concept of tithing.

When you do that you will be shocked that even Jesus spoke about tithe. If you don't believe in tithe why not respect other people's belief.

That is the problem with Churches who have human beings as the central figure. Everything the Church does is credited to the figure instead of to God.

Any Church where a man is the central figure and the identity of the Church is not of God. Jesus has been uprooted from that Church.

Any pastor who preaches tithing under the Law of Moses is a thief, a parasite, a wolf, a viper.

Now, before you credit your pastor for that generosity, can you tell me what he does for a living?

Seriously bro, im not a member of the church or excitinly impressed with what i see the ministry and not the pastor though he calls the shot is doing because it is their responsibility as christians. But why ask what he does for the living? He is a priest and a servant of God, he is blessed with his congregation and the offerings n tithes are part of what comes with that. Even if he works aside his huge present responsibilities, he probably wouldnt touch his salary n that will be more money added to his blessings. Lets be realistic sometimes, there are the bad n fale fellows that claim to be men of God but their are real men of God and God knows his servants. Just leave God to judge at the end, concentrate on your race for salvation and ignore the flashy things you see in the lives of these pastors.

Many are asking what else does he do apart from being a pastor to be this rich?

Why must u know. Is it all what you do as a person to make money people must know even though they are legit.

Many of these pastors are great writers and they have several books published that are being bought worldwide.

Take for instance Oyedepo who has thousands of branches world wide with congregation running into millions. How much do u think he makes on his books worldwide.

The number of members in Nigeria alone is in millions not to talk of almost all the nations of Africa and other continents of the world. The books sold to all these multitudes runs into millions of dollars.Every year. I know so because my wife once worked with Winners Chapel in the publishing area.

The proceed from the books belongs to who else but the writer ?

Abi make dem com give you so that you wont criticise am?

so also many put their money into one investment or the other they dont have to be part of the workers in those companies but just having shares in them.

Or is there a law restricting men of God from investing in other sectors?

Why are we dis gulible. What is wrong with a pastor having a private jet? It is not wrong for our politician to have private jet but it is wrong for pastors to have one. For crying out loud the private jet in question were bought by some few folks that have been blessed through his ministry. There is nothing wrong in buying him a private. Haters please aplaud his kind gesture of giving back to the society, you that is critizing what have you done in your own little way for your family not to talk about the society at large. To begin with Moses was a Levite, his father Amram was levite and so was Aaron his brother and Miriam his sister double check your fact before you come public with it there are vast no of audience some of which you have a tendency to mislead some which will only have an impression of you. Having said that tithing preceded the law (father Abraham paid tithe) long before the law was given to Moses. An "abolishing" of the law does not abolish tithing (cos it wasn't in the law package') in the first place STUDY follow not popular opinions cc emeka1million

Moses was not a Levite in the sense of those taken by God to be His. There are no Biblical evidence of Moses being regarded as part of the Levites set aside.

Abraham paid tithe to Melchizedek whose priesthood is eternal, just as Jesus's priesthood would be after him. Melchizedek was no ordinary priest. His priesthood was way above any man's. Only Jesus has that sort of priesthood.

If the death of Jesus did not fulfil tithing with compulsion, what did it fulfil?

These are not his good works. Or, is the money his? He is a con man if he preaches tithing under the Law. He is a thief if he has enriched himself by merely preaching the Word.

There is a time to criticise and there is a time to look, keep quiet and pass and not demonstrate stupidity and daftness, pictures which represents verifiable proofs has been shown which I believe is a small percent compared to what the man of God has actaully done to influence his immediate community for good. The other day I was watching him giving scholarships to many different students, I was like this is christianity, blessed to be a blessing.Yet you are running your mouth yarning garbage of tithe this and tithe that.If its by tithe all the pastors in Nigeria should do this good works and also have private jet, abi the christians that pay tithe in Nigeria are only the ones that worship at Salvation ministries.
More so we are taking of a private jet giving to him as birthday gift by blessed members of the church and you are here hating.
God Bless David Ibieyomie, haters continue your ministry of hating while the man of God goes higher.

No 1) who warrants a private jet?

No 2) have you read in the bible where Jesus told his disciples to go get him a donkey tied for use, which no man has ever used? What will you say about that?
Question one answer: He shouldn't fly private jet because of the perception people feel about pastors flying it. Secondly it will cost more to maintain private jet at the expense of the church. Thirdly if Nigerians are taxed on luxury goods, the idea of acquiring private jet wouldn't arise.
Question two answer: Jesus rode on a donkey because he's the Kings of Kings and lords of lords. Are you implying that a pastor should ride a jet at the expense of the church?. If pastor Chris had done that, sinach,Frank Edwards among others wouldn't be were they're today. He invested in building them up and the results is speaking for itself. The church should build men and stop lavishing money on unnecessary projects.
If he doesn't have an idea what to do I will personally give him one

That Christians are no longer under the law does not mean that you should live outside the law or not obey the law. You need to understand that there is a difference between living under the law and living in accordance to the law.
