I got his email address from the Departmental website and wrote him. Few hours later, he sent positive reply. Though, I sent out more than 300 mails to prospective supervisors. Good luck in your search.

Upfront medicals.

The miracle here is that I applied 18 August, 2017 whereas I did that medical 18th August, 2016 before applying for my previous app.

I call forth my PPR letter now in Jesus name; Amen.

No discrimination. No school accepts Nigerians more. But there are a lot of Nigerians at the University of Saskatchewan. I think only one school in the entire Canada that I have seen that singles Nigerians out by name to take TOEFL. You have to do your research, Google is there for you. If you send me a list of schools you find and want to apply to, I can help categorize them for you based on level of difficulty of getting in. Best.

I find you pm pls reply boss.

I would be glad we chat better boss

Good day house
Please I need advice as regards putting up a tight TRV Application.
I applied for a two years PGD program, to pay two semester tuition out of four (one year tuition). I'm using my dad as my sponsor with a good enough balance with land docs as well. I am thinking if I should go ahead to gather funds into my personal account in the region of 1.5M to 2M from various sources to back up my application, thereby stating that it's for my accommodation and feeding. Then after the application process return the money. But my fear is they will ask for statement of the account

Bros, what is worth doing at all is worth doing well.
There's nothing tight about an application that is built on deception, because the VOs ain't dumb, they will figure out and you end up dashing them your application fee. It isn't compulsory you be your sponsor, you can get anybody to be your sponsor, all you need is well prepared documents to back up your application.

Come to look at it, 1.5 to 2 million is not even enough to present to the VOs as your financial strength. You need at least 6M with convincing documents that prove it is for your study.

Finance isn't the only thing you need to be worried about, you have quite number of things you need to be aware of. The program/degree you're going for is one of them. We have witnessed quite few number of people that are going for PGD that have had their TRV approved, you need a well-structured SOP to convince the VO that you are genuine student.

You also need to prove the availability of home ties, and other things, I will advice you read at least from thread 12 to know how to put up a tight application, and if you have specific question, you can... Ire o

Masters in Toxicology, pharmaceutical science or Biochemistry

These are some steps and tips that can help to get a supervisor. More can be gotten if you read this thread well.

*Choose your Course Title

The world is filled with amazing opportunities; it is imperative for you to know what exactly you are looking for. Knowing the title of the course and your proposed area of specialization is the first point of call. The next move will be to embark on the look-out for where you can get what you want.

***Contact your potential supervisors

Make conclusions about the research topic you want based on the information you find from the research you did above, or at least know what part you are interested in and the recent developments going on in that part as regards to your potential supervisor's research interest. Pay a visit to the departmental website of your chosen course, look for lecturers that are spearheading research works in your area of interest. There is usually a link on university websites that show you where to get a supervisor for your graduate courses. Address the SOP to the selected supervisors and send it to their respective email addresses; you can possibly attach some regular documents such as your transcript and resume. If you don’t get a response after five working days, you can attempt sending them a reminder.

This is a very important part of the application process because for the majority of universities in Canada securing a supervisor is almost tantamount to gaining admission. It is always good to get the consent of a supervisor before going ahead with the payment of the application fee and filling of forms on the online portal.

You have a good cgpa. Just back it up with a good letter of intent or SOP.

All the best

Thanks for the advice. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. My dad who is my sponsor is willing to provide an account statement in the region of 10M ( this is after paying for my two semester tuition) along with shares and land doc. My SOP and course of study is in line with my Bsc degree which is good. home ties I'm yet to come up with something concrete. I just want to ensure I close all loop holes that's why I was considering adding my personal account to the application. But like you've stated it's not a good way to go about it.
I have an aunt in the U.K though Who is willing to come in as a co sponsor can you please direct me on the documents I'll be needing from her.
And also if my sponsors have to state in a form of letter how much they are giving to me for accommodation, feeding etc

You will need a statement of account, letter of sponsor, court affidavit of sponsor and the data page of international passport of all your sponsors.

If your Dad is your sponsor and your aunt is going to stand as your co-sponsor, you don't need to pad your account, simple tell your aunt to transfer the amount she will sponse you with into your account and let her state it in her letter of sponsor, the statement of account will show it.

For your home times, BSc has nothing to do with your home tie. If you have been following this thread, you must have come across how you can tackle the issue of home tie, if you are married, a crowned prince, a business man or working in Nigeria and was granted leave of study, meaning you have to come back, all these are good way of tackling home ties. I can remember someone here broke down home ties into two- social and economic, which summarizes all you need regarding home ties

Lastly, why not go for masters instead of PGD? If you read from thread 12 you will understand why, I am not saying you won't get a TRV if you go for PGD, but you will have to put in more effort than someone going for masters will do, statistics here shows an approximate ratio of 1PGD TRV approval to every 5 MSc TRV approval... Just to add a caveat, securing a supervisor is not tantamount or close to gaining admission. Out of the pool of applicants who got supervisors, an admission office turns a lot away. The letter of intent is the single most important part of the application process, many schools say so.

I have modified my previous comment. I am aware Bsc has nothing to do with home ties. What I meant was that I'm studying a PGD course that relates to my Bsc. For home ties using a work study leave is looking like my best option atm thanks. I am going for a PGD because my CGPA is less than 3.00 which is the minimum requirement for most schools if not all
Since my aunt (cosponsor) is in U.K. Will she be sending her bank doc directly to CIC or to me and how easily can she get the court affidavit in UK. please I need detailed clarification here. Thanks

Wrong about what?

You can secure a supervisor and not get admitted and can also be admitted without securing a supervisor.
A high CGPA, very convincing SOP and letter of recommendation are vital for getting admission

Okay I am wrong. I am a case study. All the schools I successfully obtained supervisors, were actually the ones I got rejected. McGill, Toronto, University of Calgary School of Defence. All the ones that didn't require or supervisors are assigned after admission, were the ones I got into.University of Saskatchewan Public Policy, Queen's Law, Queen's Public Policy, University of Alberta Public Health. Go figure!

Hello house ,please i need your advice. first of all i already have valid Canadian trv and have been working in a construction firm as operations manager for the past 6 yrs.I want to apply for student permit.i have a second class lower degree in ESTATE MANAGEMENT from a Nigerian university. I'm considering doing a PGC in PROJECT MANAGEMENT at Sheridan college Ontario because my isn't high enough for masters.
Pls advice me,in your opinion does my proposed course in Canada align with my previous study and job experience. If not can you please suggest alternative programs that may be better suited for my profile. Thanks

Who's gonna supervise you with your high GPA? Getting supervisor is the most pertinent step to admission for theses programs.

Your aunt have to send it to you and not CIC, it have to be among your documents.
Now concerning getting it across to you, that shouldn't be a problem, she can get the court affidavit done over there, scan it, and send it to you. That was how I got a court affidavit from my cousin who stood as my co-sponsor from the united state.

I will appreciate if you don't bold your comment again, please... Ire o
