[quote author=obiageIi post=61637949] I use enzymes in my feed, they help breakdown nutrients for better utilisation by the birds, most importantly nitrous that helps form amonnia. Enzymes also keep their stool dry and hard.[/quote Okay ... I appreciate ma'am |

Due to high temperature, I normally dedicate some ice cold water for the broilers in the afternoon. I just left the chicken room here and the water is still cold and this was served since 2.00pm today. Temperature in coop was 39c and I had to use this to cool them down. Too much heat could eradicate the broilers. |
Re: ... by Nobody: 9:57pm On Oct 24, 2017 |
Day 19 I will be vaccinating Gumboro in the middle of the night to avoid the heat of the day. Lasota was given on the 14th day |

please how do know d chicks have worms |
Re: ... by Nobody: 9:04am On Oct 25, 2017 |
Alennsar:Typically a chick will have worms and the normal deworming schedule according to the vet is after 30 days. I only tweaked this to use organic means and even found out that some chicks tend to have worms from even day one. When you deworm a chick and the stool is having some whitish threadlike stool, that is the worm there. Some Capillaria, or threadworms, hang out in the crop or esophagus; others prefer to live in the intestinal lining. Heavy infections cause droopiness, pale combs, weight loss, and sometimes death. Completely keeping your chickens away from worms isn’t possible. With good management on your part, worms may never cause illness in your flock. Good nutrition and a clean environment are very important in preventing heavy worm infections and illness due to parasites.

Re: ... by Nobody: 9:05am On Oct 28, 2017 |
kennysbst:Payalsed could be many things, lack of vitamins like biotin (b5), cal d phosphate (b7), calcium, etc, heat, disease like Newcastle. What other symptoms? If possible isolate the victim and feed a rich multivitamin through feed and water. |
Re: ... by Nobody: 9:06am On Oct 28, 2017 |
Smartademu:I don't know. I only know the price of concentrate. |
Re: ... by kennysbst(m): 10:58am On Oct 28, 2017 |
EMMAACHILE: I think you are right. how can I get biotin (b5), cal d phosphate (b7), calcium for treatment or is there any organic way to derive them |
Re: ... by Nobody: 11:50am On Oct 28, 2017 |
kennysbst:Get a good multivitamin like powervit or vitalyte or a local vitamin called super vitamins. Look for those with the ingredients biotin though powervit or vitalyte are good to go. For fast recovery, you can add calcium phosphate to the water. |
