How big is the fibroid? Worry not, cos your worry can't help anything. At my first scan, same thing was said, I'm almost 37 weeks gone now by God's grace. It could disintegrate as pregnancy progresses, and I've heard of some people who had theirs removed during cs. As long as it doesn't affect your baby, just rest your mind. You might experience some pains as a result tho.

Such a sad news, RIP Iyomomoreloaded.

Don't worry. I had (have?) 2 fibroids discovered when I was a few weeks along. One of them degenerated when I was 20 weeks along and I used to feel it (them?) through my bump sometimes. They didn't affect my baby at all, in fact he was 4.3kg at birth so somehow the space was enough, lol. If it does degenerate, the pain is crazy but pain relievers will help with that. Doctors don't encourage removal with CS (if you end up going that route) cos they are 2 major surgeries and the risk of blood loss is high. After your baby comes you can either decide to remove it another time or let it be (like I did, I believe it's gone forever, otherwise I'll do something about it when I'm done with kids)

All this is just to encourage you that it's nothing to be scared about. Just ff your doctor's advice

You are right with the suggestion dearie. Though i dont know her but i went through her old posts and discovered she was a jovial nairalander especially on this thread. Right from her Pregnancy announcement from October 2016 till her last post in June. So painful may her gentle soul rest in peace. Her monicker Iyomomo means Mother of a baby.

I know a few ladies that had fibroids and still had their babies successfully.

I got pregnant and didn't know I had fibroids until I was almost due. The doctors said it was the reason I had placenta previa (they told me weeks after I put to bed). They said the fibroids were at the point where the placenta should have been (dunno if I should believe them sha). Had my baby through CS.

I'm jut trying to let you know that whether the fibroids disappear or not, you'll be fine.
