Hi everyone, I would like you to advise me on the following. I finished school since 2011 with a 2:2 in Ind. pharmaceutical science. I haven't done anything remotely related to that as the job adverts I managed to find online were only the marketing aspect which I didn't fancy at all. Notwithstanding, I applied for a few but then came the issue of having a valid driving licence. That put me off entirely because the jobs are Lagos-based. I didn't want to die of heart attack as we know how most Lagosians drive! I have taught/held secretarial position at two schools since Nov. 2013 for a little over two years. I also did a 6months voluntary placement at some hospital when I considered doing an MPH program in France in 2014. Admission didn't come through. I went through a Catering and hotel management training for 6 months and rounded off December last year. I have not done anything meaningful since then besides what I learned from that program. I would like to go for a master degree in Canada. But I was informed (at the recently concluded Canada education fair) not with a 2:2; that I have the option of PGDip or PGCert. With these will I qualify for a PR? I haven't seen any college/uni offering public health at either level. What course do you advise I go for? Would you suggest Food Safety/Science and Quality assurance? Would I be denied visa based on my choice of course? I have registered for the IELTS exams. Once, I can decide on what to study then I can begin my application asap for the Sept 2018 intake. Thanks to you all for the wonderful job you are doing!!! |

petitchouchou: Hello boss, The first step you need to do is to crawl. That is make up your mind on what you want to study that is in line with your previous study or past experience (if you need to change career path, you must have a very convincing reason for that too). Only you know your strengths and shortcomings. Then walk....When you are sure of what you want to study, you can then do a thorough search on google for the schools that have your intended course and at what level you can join(Again no one has an idea as it totally depends on the outcome of the first step). Ensure you mail the schools admission office for enquiries (they have all the info you may need). Then, you run... When you have all the info you need from the school, crosscheck to see if your profile fits the required program and apply. When you have successfully gained admission, then you can start visa processing which is a different ball game altogether. But first do the above steps. For PR, I have nothing to say about that except focus on the now because the now really determines tomorrow. Good luck... PS: The above steps works in most cases... 2 Likes |
You'll be better off if you go on jobberman and put up an offer for a Personal Assistant. When the assistant then gets you a list of good schools in the range of $5000, we can help with the application process. Also, yes you get your refund usually without Men de vex ooooo ..all you need to do is refer him to part 1 to 13 then from there he will know whether to read or not... 1 Like |

Good evening my fellow comrades Please i have an issue and i need your insight The application was delayed earlier based on finances alone and then the gcms notes arrived not long ago. Now the first and fourth notes in the gcms notes talks about why the application was refused based on the finances. Now the source of confusion is the third comments made in the notes which talks about purpose of visit and travel history which was not ticked when the application was refused. Again under the label of that third note it reads "Entered in Error". We really cant fathom the notes thats why i seek your earnest insight. Thanks for your time |

Hello to the gurus and bosses I git this message from my supervisor (Contact graduate studies on Monday and let them know that you will cover your tuition and living expenses and your supervisor cover the consumables for your research. You will provide financial payments upfront for your studies. Yes it will after the acceptance of supervision and finance is assured. This the same for all students.Contact grad studies, they will contact me and the process will be initiated) i applied for Winter session. does this sounds like a partial funding ? please who has been in this kinda of situation before ?? |

bbclue: But on my refusal letter they only ticked insufficient funds and about the third point under its label it says "entered in error". Thats my confusion |

Men, application refused last night. Heart broken beyond comprehension. After so much hope and effort to prepare the app the best way possible I could have. They ticked : not sure I will leave Canada at the end of my authorized stay with purpose of visit, job prospect in country of resident .... I tire my people.

Akfakorede: Congratulations on your admission. Just make sure you are truthful and sincere when feeling the application forms. Also make sure the course you are going for is related to your previous degree. |

pvc4real:Sorry brother about this. The same reasons again. Quite unfortunate, I think those cic don't want Nigerians again for winter. Dishing out the same reasons for genuine applicants. Order for your GCMS note, defer your admission, tackle the reasons for denial and again have several options to fall back to. Share your profile as well. We gotta breakthrough. E go beta! 1 Like |

holluwizzy:It will be hard to get school with that o but if you have good grade you can look for schools that can offer you funding and if lucky enough you won't pay a dime. Is it just $5k you have for everything or just your tuition? cos you should also consider your living expenses for at least a year ($10k) before embarking on the joyrney. Check memorial university of newfoundland. Best of luck 1 Like |

Bro you requested for your gcsm note cos you wanted the REAL reasons behind the delay, fund is the main reason as your sponsor's balance was low when you applied for trv, also purpose of visit (it means your intended program isn't in line with your previous course or your present job), travel history to me is just be the way. Concerning the "error" you have been talking about since, you should only take it up if the other reasons stated by the VO was WRONG. |

Hello everyone! This is for anyone coming to Montreal in December. I am sharing the below on behalf of a friend. She needs to lease out her apartment. She recently graduated and has secured a job in another province, hence the reason she is leaving the apartment. (There is nothing wrong with the apartment). Please send me a PM, and I will link you up with her. She has pictures of the apartment, but I cant post them online. Thank you, and all the best to all TRV hopefuls. ************************************************************************************* I have a large bedroom in a 2 bedroom apartment available from December 1st for rent. * Bedroom has a balcony with a nice view. *Apartment building is on Sherbrooke street west close to Concordia Loyola campus. *The building has a swimming pool and sauna. *Bus stop is right in front of the building (bus 105, 162, 51) which goes to the metro stations vendome, villa maria and snowdon. *Laundry in building. *Wifi and hydro not included in rent but comes up to 40$ every month. *Heating and hot water is included. *My furniture can be sold to you for a price (it’s negotiable). *You will have to sign a lease. *Your roommate is a nice quiet graduate student at Concordia. *Females are preferred but males are welcomed too. *You can text me or email me to view the apartment. |

How long it takes depends on how they process their admissions. Some schools collect all applications and start processing all after deadline while some process the applications on the go. You can always contact the admissions office for info or there should be some form of tracking in the case of URegina I once applied to USask Jan 2017 although rejected, decision came by April 2017. Applied to URegina July 2017 and favorable decision came few weeks ago October. 2 months few weeks waiting time for each. You can try URegina together with USask... Whatever you do, do not give up. The reason why i am jabbing about this error is that, my intended course is related to my job and previous undergraduate program. I did B.Ed(management) and i am going for educational administration and leadership. Also i am a teacher so i cant just understand how purpose of visit will appear in my gcms notes. mcobex: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by bbclue(f): 6:26am On Oct 29, 2017 |
Kwamentim3: See the reason for ordering your gcms note is to know the main reason for refusal..... you need to work with the gcms note because there u no d truth about your refusal....because note 1 says insufficient funds....note 2...purpose of visit.....and travel history....your work experience is not related dat is if am right......all you need now is a strong SOP......and did u pay first year tuition fees |
