Will you believe me if I tell you that WE WILL NOT DEFEAT ALGERIA?
Hahahaha hahahaha. Okay I believe you. I might not even watch that match. The sizzle ain't gonna be in the match except to just see Rohr's line up and who will be given their debut.

There is no need for us to wait until he starts shining before we call him.

Rohr should call him for the Algeria match to tie him down and afterwards watch him grow in the league.
Who we go call, who we no go call? This thing ain't easy ooo cos if one wants to call every player that gives off a good scent it's going to be very difficult to build a team. But I am even happy that unlike some years ago we now have players jostling to be given an opportunity.

Rohr Chasing Hoffenheim Defender Akpoguma Rejected By Nigeria U17 In 2011

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr is still combing Europe for players who can provide options for his team ahead of their campaign at next year World Cup in Russia.
Roht who has successfully convinced former England youth international Ola Aina to switch allegiance from England to Nigeria as cover for the left full back spot is also keen on German youth international defender Kevin Akpoguma.
Akpoguma captained Germany to a 1-0 1in over Nigeria at the 2015 World Youth Championship Championship in New Zealand, but he could easily have been playing for Nigeria.
In 2011, the defender who is now one of the first name on the team sheet for Hoffenheim approached the coach of the Nigeria U17 team Monday Odigie indicating his interest to be a part of the team.
” I saw the story you guys (Owngoalnigeria.com) did on Deji-Ousman Beyreuther, Akpoguma suffered also similar fate in 2011, but today he is wanted by the coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr”, a family source told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Akpoguma approaches the Nigeria U17 coach back then but he wasn’t given a look in. He ended up playing for Germany same year before rising to the role of captain of their U-20 four years later”.

Since, Echeijele is out and we are looking for a natural LB then it is very easy to give him a call.

He should be called for the U20. I like the fact that he is good with free kicks.

there are so many things working against us.

The most important of all is the fact that they have a new coach. Like theGoodJoe already pointed out, they will watch that first leg and realize that they could have won, they played a whole lot better than we did, they will duly blame it on the failed coach and look to impress.

If we on the other hand invite thesame set of players that we normally do, we will lose. What's there to play for? Who doesn't want to face Argentina? For now I am not concerned about the result, we most definelty won't win, but if we play well then I am fine, if we don't....

Please search for Shina Okeleji on twitter and see what you'll find.
I want to be a little cautious still.

Many of my opinions on Tammy are purely based on critical reasoning

There is no twitter handle with the name ' Shina Okeleji'

Twitter search of Shine Okeleji showed all kind of allegations and accusations by AllNigeriaoccer @Editor_ANS which I hardly take serious.

It's always cool to be cautious of what to believe from info we read online though.

I have a big genuine success story from an insider about some quality foreign born players making waves in Europe's top five leagues who have called in saying they are reconsidering their earlier stances of turning out for their European nations, I would have loved to share the news in details with us here but for the prying ears, let me shield my sword until it's reported by THENFF.COM. We wouldn't wanna repeat a mistake. With these developments, expect some changes and stiffer competitions in the defence, midfield through to the attack.

I fear for Omeruo, Agu, Echiejile, Nwakeme and to an extent, Ogu.

I still feels he is a good player despite the stick he received after those matches. Rohr should allow him start against Algeria and get some time against Argentina before we give our final verdict.

About the scout time, me I no know oooo. grin

Truly it's painful when we lose out on great talents. This one is just coming up. We don't know how he'd turn out. It's dicey but one thing here is that he's declared for us, he's young and passionate about playing for us. Your suggestion ain't bad. Don't want us missing out on another Alaba or like the way we missed AJ.

CARL IKEME UPDATE

Recovering Ikeme Grateful To Wolves, QPR Fans For Banner Display

Recuperating Nigeria goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, has shown gratitude to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers fans who displayed their support for him during their Championship clash on Saturday.

Ikeme has been in recovery since being diagnosed with acute leukemia in August.

“Thanks everyone. Been off Twitter for a bit getting on with my treatment. But I’m ok and thanks for the support again,” Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikeme tweeted on Sunday in reply to a tweet from his club Wolves.

“Thanks to the supporters who paraded the @Carl_Ikeme banner y’day & @QPR, where Carl was on loan, for allowing them to do so. #teamkemes,” Wolves, who lost 2-1 at Queens Park Rangers and fell to second place in the Championship table, tweeted.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is hoping the Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper will be on the plane to Russia after the Super Eagles sealed qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

“It will be a great pleasure if he (Ikeme) is fully recovered and can come with us to Russia,” Rohr had said after his team’s win over Zambia in Uyo.

Ikeme made only one appearance (against Zambia in Ndola) for the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria are unbeaten in Group B with 13 points from five matches, six points better off than Zambia with one game left to play.

NIGARG FRIENDLY

Yusuf: Argentina Friendly Will Make Super Eagles Strong For World Cup

By Bamidele Boluwaji: Super Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf has told Complete Sports that the proposed international friendly match with Argentina will make the Nigerian national team strong at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria, who have already qualified for Russia 2018, will face Argentina in Russia on 14 November in Moscow, four days after their final African qualifying Group B clash with Algeria in Constantine.

Yusuf, who led the Home Eagles to a second place finish at the WAFU Cup tournament held In Ghana, recently said he looks forward to more top grade friendly mathes before the World Cup.
“This is a top match and personally I believe it will go a long way in helping the Super Eagles to prepare well for the World Cup,” Yusuf told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“World Cup is different from other tournaments and you need lots of top friendly games to prepare for the tournament. Now that we have qualified, many people are out there waiting to see what we can offer and we must not disappoint.”

Yusuf believes that Nigeria have quality players who will fly the country’s flag high in Russia.

“There are many young players in our team now and we are hoping they will all be okay for the World Cup,” he added.
