I saw a medal with the inscription 25 possibly meaning the individual
has served at least 25 years in the Armed Forces.
I doubt that because 25 RC are retired even buratai is 29RC and 35RC are already Maj.Gen. I have no clue to that sha.

If you think that is rugged maybe you should join the army.

Might just be a boot maker to the king. Ruggedness don't exist in your parts hence you can't tell what it is.

What does that drill teach you?

...hard to break a Nigerian soldier even in capture beyond that it's the mentality--adaptation to extreme pain under all circumstances whether psychological or emotional. But why should I even tell u?

That same drill is done here. It not bragged about since it really nothing special. My issue was these types of pics all ways pop up from Nigeria. Like they bragging about it.

War is not a picnic to us in Nigeria. We have a history of military success behind us and it came by soldiers who fought under the most bitter circumstances and won. Yes we have bragging rights. That pic is an old pic just like many others and when soldiers survive beyond human training sure they'd make pics or vid and brag about it. They are no longer only humans but instruments of violence.

Marines dont do that sort of nonsense - their punishments are lesson orientated or at least focused on skills development.

Of course there are physical punishments, but those are all fitness orientated.

Here is an interesting comparison between those Marines and Army - its funny, but also in a way quite deep when you consider the different training ethos of the two branches and the effect on the troops they turn out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNn9H1LR2Tw

that guy getting fvcking reemed at 4:40 gets me every time grin grin grin

Also 6:09:
"The recruit needs bayonette course, Sir"
"needs?"
"needs!?"
"NNNNEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDSSSS!!!!?!?!?"
[inaudible screaming]

Lol! We know all that. You might want to visit the Nigeria Army depot, Zaria. Throw a Nigerian and American soldier in the bush and let's see who would come out first unaided.

I look forward to seeing this.

Nice! Just wonder what magic the Israelis will perform with those thousands of creeks and aggressive piracy offshore without specialist naval patrol and escort. Personally I'm lukewarm to all of this cos in this 21st century Nigeria should be able by now to come up with indigenous training and answers to such problems without every time expending foreign exchange on foreign military contractors.

Smells like an avenue to steal to me just like almost everything else. Even under the old man in Abuja u can't believe people still want to steal without fear of repercussions. Some of the delays in deliveries is the corruption with all the dilly-dallying going on. Beats the imagination.

Very nice. Saw these guys when the president arrived at Bomas. There was another team, probably g-coy guys, rocking brown khakis and tactical gear.

i feel you don't because you guys can't do it and who says it has no significance it boost their morale because when they remember moments like this they feel tough and immortal to an extent and we all know the importance of morale in battle plus the Chinese broke bricks with their heads just for the same reason

Thank you. Oga Covert, I do believe you understand. Gods that insufferable humbleness implicit in the rest of Africa's implied issue with Nigerians supossed arogance is little more than a sort of passive aggressive arrogance on their path.
