Magink:this English born players are so double minded....they can't make up their mind and stick to it....unlike the German groomed. their preferred choice is England...the super eagles is just an option....and moreover only few very few are good enough in the eyes of the English FA to play for the over hyped 3 lions.... 3 Likes |

Dis Tammy issue shld rest abeg We re d one helping him,not d oda way round as its been preached by some members here If he wants to play for us,if doesn't no qualms, highest if he joins d 3lions,he would only av a total of 180mins competitive football minutes to his CV,as he would b introduced into d game from d bench most times b4 dey re ousted out of d competition. 2 Likes |

komekn:Do you know that in law how you obtain your evidence does not matter? Once it passes the twin criteria of relevance and admissibility it would be accepted even if you stole it, bribed to get it or duped someone to get it. I am not justifying wuru wuru sha but just to let you know that this your university analogy is not universal nor is it apt for this case. Cos I don't think it's wrong for scouts and agents to say 'hey Coach, I got this sweet player, would you mind trying him out?' Even parents with talented kids do that. The issue should not be how you got called because Kog45 has shown that players get called through different means. If you were in a position to influence things today now, you'd make sure Tega, Aluko, Tammy, Onomah are invited and if they cut it fine. The only problem will be where the player(s) is tested and falls short and yet still continues to feature in the team thereby robbing some other quality player of his opportunity and ultimately the team. 2 Likes |

komekn:This Tega, Onomah Onyedinma etc you name are they 'Nigerians' Please understand the inverted commas. Question mark of nationality hangs on their head. In fact their profiles shows they are not Nigerian at least for now. Even if we want them today, we cannot invite them. So they are like fine girls dancing on the roof. We might admire them, but they are not ours as far as playing for us is concerned. At least as it stands now. 2 Likes |

tbaba1234: U17 is youth football and progression there on is very unpredictable. Age group competitions in Nigeria have always been troubled be the issues of real age. As a result progression for players has been problematic as they had mostly peaked and had limited upwards progression if any. What I am saying Nigeria is not a good bench mark for a holistic deduction such as you have made about age grade football. I will ask you to kindly research the % number of U20 players who play for thier national teams I would ask that you look at all the past world cup finalists and semi finalists. When you do that you will humbly retract your statement and unfounded proposition. Football is changing all over the world young teenagers are breaking into first team football left right and center. So age grade is clear indicator of progression and future dominance. The most expensive left back in England is 17 year old, Ryan Ssegnon who plays for Fulham multiple bids from a number of EPL clubs of £30 million were rejected by the club. 1 Like |

Chrismario: You must be a lawyer. You have with rhetoric evaded the substance of the discourse and avoided the question. How many Nigerian origin players are playing in the midfield for a top three in the world league and in a top 10 team in the world. of you can give me three I go come Lagos buy you shine shine boy or whatever takes your fancy. No Shakin By the way I said that U17 should not be taken too seriously not U20. |

Organization has always been our problem. By now the NFF should have a team responsible for interfacing with these lads. And this team should be people who understand how thing go in the UK etc. in terms of culture and how to approach engage them. Take for example Pinnick seem not to be aware that children abroad are pretty independent when making life decisions. In fact if you tell a 19 year old you will get him to do something just because of your relationship with his father, he will want to prove to you that hes can actually make his own decision. I'm sure u know what I mean. So Nigerians will always be Nigerians in the way we operate. But we have noticed an improvement in our efforts towards pushing for a switch, and that's the case i've been making. komekn: 1 Like |

komekn: If 5/6 players make the progression from under 20 to full National team status, it is a success. The vast majority end up in lower leagues and disappear. That is the nature of youth competitions Spain won Nigeria 99... Only Xavi and Casillas became permanent fixtures of the Spanish team.. Gabri had a few caps... The others disappeared into lower division sides. Argentina were champions in 2001, We had Saviola, best player but never became the Argentinian future star as predicted. Maxi Rodriguez, Nicolás Burdisso, Fabricio Coloccini... Who else The rest never became permanent fixtures in the National team. They disappeared. Nigeria 2005 team.. Only Mikel and Taiwo became permanent members of the national team.. The others were off and on... The list goes on and on... It is not peculiar to Nigeria It is a youth competition, not everyone will become members of the national team.. a few could maybe have some caps but most of them disappear. Onomah was an under 20 finalist means nothing in the larger scheme of things. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Mujtahida: It really depends on how you define being Nigerian I speak Patwa fluently and people have assumed that I'm Jamaican and or a lost Nigerian. And they will very foolishly be running me down in Yoruba feleh bobo nee egbe ote Jamo nee, Ibo as well as pidgin of which I speak the latter good and excellently respectively. When I then respond in the language they understand it becomes apologies galore, we know no, sorry oh. |

komekn:if they're truly good enough as you're hyping them here....let them break into the 3 Lions squad....if they're not good enough for the 3 Lions then they' can't be said to be good enough for the super eagles.... let the 3 Lions start eyeing them first...then we will start considering them... for all I care they're mainly average players with the opportunity of being British by birth...nothing more... the wise ones should go contact rohr and let him know their intentions of playin for the SE...I doubt if he will not invite them. no player will come use the super eagles as an option... 4 Likes |

Humility017: You are once again prejudiced and have no understanding of the subject matter and or appreciation of it. Which for me is quite sad really considering all I have said to you to increase your understanding and create some empathy. That is very disappointing for me and makes me question my informed contribution to the forum. Have they been of any benefit at all if you can still come up with these kind of statements. |
