Firstly, you are wrong, using the principles of law, there are clear rules governing evidence. If those rules are breached then it becomes inadmissible.

I stand by my analogy to ensure probity and fair play there must be criteria that governs players selection. Once you do not have clear, measurable and identifiable processes then it becomes open to abuse. I said earlier, once objective parameters are lost then subjective personal preference takes place. In our country that's a recipe for disaster and the foundation for all things corrupt.

Once again if you circumvent the pre- requisite qualifications and by pass them it's wrong and unfair. It's very possible for a person with two O/levels to by pass the requisite qualifications for entrance into university and put thier head down and get a first class degree. But it's WRONG it means that those who were more deserving were essentially cheated. That's corruption.

If that's what you think is OK then you are part of the problem not the solution.

With regards to football who says the more deserving and qualified person could have gone on to be a world class player.
If a player gets into the team and deprives a 'qualified'(this has no definition) player and then the qualified player does not go ahead to fulfil his full potential then we should doubt the quality of that qualified player.

Look at Onyekuru. He was invited before. He didn’t pass. He kept on doing his thing. Now another opportunity has been handed to him which I earnestly pray he takes. While I know not every good player will make the team because at the end just 23 has to be chosen, no average player can ultimately stop a quality player from getting into the team.

Bhuhahaha! When did work permit all of a sudden became difficult to get in Spain? shocked grin

Na me write the report??

I've noticed your style of argument, you try as much as possible to close your eyes to glaring facts especially the ones that won't help in advancing your lame views. I'm sorry to say, intelligent people don't see things like that.

I boldened that part out for you to read, that was his agent speaking not me, so you can ask him how and why obtaining a work permit in Spain has become difficult.

Is it not the same coach that is playing Kayode? shocked grin bhahahahi!

I told you Goodjoe was the one who thought that, and I could remember icon4s trying to tell him that wasn't true. so that's out of it.

Nwakali failed to meet up to expection hence the need to look for a league that befits his standard. Norway was the perfect for his below per average level. grin

Just look at this man. Nwakali never had the chance to showcase what he's got, so on don't know what expectations you talk about.

Below average level, the Ekong you have right now as your CB was a youth player at Tottenham, at some point moved to Norway, Belgium and now Turkey which is ranked the 8th best league in Europe by UEFA, the fact that he plays there now doesn't mean he won't get someplace better this summer.

Unfortunately, he has also falling short of the requirements for work permit in England hence the need to use the National team.

This is the koko. So, my points stand gidigba.

Has Kayode gotten his work permit settled? Perhaps, he himself is not quality enough. cheesy grin

Na only you wan start this "using national team to obtain work permit" no be until you play, you go qualify to get permit?? Na only one game fit qualify you? How are you even sure Chidi would play any minute of the game??

Kayode has got a cap already, let's see how far that'd help him obtain permit when summer comes.

Selection by merit not influence and connective manipulation

I cannot disagree in terms of performance and in comparison apart from Awoniyi there are too many players ahead of him.

Yesterday evening I was with a Nigerian origin player who has played a couple of games for a EPL team. He is left footed and fast i have been saying he is not ready yet. What do I say to him now Go and play in a bottom club facing relegation in a moi moi league ranked 30 in Europe and Rohr's scouts will then notice you.

Or how u see am
tell that player to go contact rohr...either in person or his agent...

he will be monitored and If he is good enough...he will be invited someday....

Rohr is a focused coach.

He identified weaknesses in the full back positions and searched for solutions. With Aina, Ebuehi and Idowu, we have several options now for the full back positions. Shehu has upped his game significantly and that could be as a result of the competition. If Shehu slips up, he can easily be replaced.

They don't bring anything footballwise to the World Cup but they bring an atmosphere just like the British fans. It's said that once British fans arrive you will know. In 2006 after England was eliminated in the quarter finals a German wept profusely saying that he'd never experience such again cos those wags spent money like mad.

Our backline is brimming with potential now. Once they are tested and they pass we are good to go. Only the attack and gk will remain and perhaps one DM.

You are playing to the gallery of sentiment but without substance.

You did not define corruption and you did not ask Forgiveness what he means by corruption. For me a system becomes corrupt, when there is no clear unit of measurement for excellence, leaving the individual to make subjective judgement based on thier personal preference.

This mean that compliance to a set standard of principles cannot be measured and or enforced further entrenching the opportunity for abuse and therefore corrupt practices.

Question my rational even my objectivity with pertinent substantive questions even quantify my responses. But using emotional presumptuous rhetoric garnished with sentimentality will appeal to some but those with depth will see it for what it is.

Your prejudice is not even camouflaged. You use the term funny English talents

Again you use projected presumption to postulate what my responses will be. You are clearly misguided and unable to appreciate my position sadly.

You made it sound like Nwakali is invited to fill a DM vacant position. Check all your comments so far. Except he was called upon for another position, the DM isn't vacant!

The coach has the prerogative on the positions, he intends to fill.

If he is looking for an extra DM, that is his decision

A team should be a mix of youth and experience.

Nigeria appears to have much more youth than experience. We struggle when Mikel is missing.

It's not as if we can't do without Mikel, bit he's often substituted wrongly.

Believe me Agbo, Ogu and Esiti have what it takes to dictate the pace of the game.

This is what Ndidi, Onazi, Agu, Etebo can't do. These guys are practically work-horses.

"Extra" was the keyword in his post.

Why do we invite 3 goalkeepers when it's possible that just 1 is quite enough for the whole tourney??

The coach decides which positions he still needs options. His invitation of Nwakali indicates that he is still looking for CM/DM options.

A few weeks back, i compiled a WC list of players guaranteed of a WC place. Central Midfield had the most openings. The coach knows this too.

THE SOURCE OF THE NEW RUMOR

Tammy Abraham to reject Nigeria for England
exclusive
Matt Hughes, Deputy Football Correspondent
October 31 2017, 12:01am,

Abraham has impressed for Swansea
DYLAN MARTINEZ/REUTERS

Tammy Abraham has provided Gareth Southgate with a boost as he continues his preparations for next summer’s World Cup finals by declaring that he wants to play his senior international football for England.

The Chelsea striker, who is enjoying a successful season on loan at Swansea City, is being courted by Nigeria, whom he is eligible to represent through his father, who was born in Warri, and is a childhood friend of the Nigerian Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick.

Abraham held talks with Pinnick about a potential change of allegiance in September, but is understood to have told senior FA officials in the past few weeks that he remains committed to England.

The 20-year-old has won 13 caps for England Under-21 and is targeting a step up to the senior side rather than pursuing a switch to Nigeria, for whom he will be eligible until he wins a senior England cap.

Southgate watched Abraham play for Swansea last Saturday away to Arsenal, where he created the visitors’ opening goal for Sam Clucas and had a ‘goal’ ruled out for offside, and the manager is considering naming him in his squad to play Germany and Brazil next month.

Since joining Swansea in the summer he has scored four Premier League goals in nine starts, a figure all the more impressive given his loan club have scored only seven goals in total.

Southgate considers Abraham to be a potential World Cup bolter even if he does not make his next squad, which will be announced on Thursday. While Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford are certainties to travel to Russia and Jamie Vardy is likely to make it, one or two striking slots are up for grabs. Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck’s repeated injury problems may count against them, as may Jermain Defoe’s age as he approaches his 36th birthday.

Abraham’s commitment is also a relief for the FA, which, despite the success of the age-group teams, has seen Nigeria pick off former England youth internationals such as Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi, Sone Aluko, Shola Ameobi and Ola Aina in recent years.

I don't think it's because of experience cos Onazi, Echiejile, Musa, Moses have the experience. Mikel is inspirational. And any player regardless of experience can inspire the team. Infact the team psychologist should talk to the squad to wean themselves off the mentality that once Mikel doesn't play or is substituted our game has to suffer for it. Portugal won the last Euro without Ronaldo. In fact they played better after he was substituted.
