How many bank managers relocate to US? Bank managers mostly go to Canada where they will earn more doing simpler jobs.

A bank manager would go to US, or even the small countries if if he begins to see his job is not steady or has lost his job. He or she is not going to tell anyone that he cannot meet his targets in the office anymore or that he sees insecurity around his job.

To cut a long story short, it is better for a bank manager who has lost his job to go do work outside the country rather than taking a very low job in Nigeria.

All things being equal, a bank manager in Nigeria has no need going to US where he cannot be guaranteed a professional job. There are some other countries where good office jobs can be guaranteed either via skilled immigrant program or some more years of study.

Outside of Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria is mostly like a real life Mad Max Movie.

Smelling Lagos. I worked there before and it was hell. I took voluntary transfer to Benin. You leave your house in GRA and get to office in 5-10 minutes. Better breeze, fresh neighbors, quiet and peaceful life. Good social life weekends. You can still travel to Lagos for weekends and enjoy less traffic on Saturdays and Sundays.

Many people transfered from Lagos to Benin, Kano, Abuja, don't always want to leave. But once they manage to relocate, they begin to say if they knew they would have left Lagos since.
