GoroTango:The Fulani herdsmen have no right to unleash sorrow, tears, blood and mayhem on innocent villagers in Benue. What gives them the right to do so? The governor is only trying to protect his own Benue people from these herdsmen, which was why he promulgated the law. If a trouble maker consistently causes problem for you in your house, won't you send him packing? 5 Likes |

Gorotango this issue has linger on for far too long Miyetti Allāh didn't do much to save the situation always coming up with one excuse or the other. Cattle rearing is a big business but the way and manner in which Miyetti goes about it is wrong 3 Likes |

GoroTango:Nobody is infringing on their freedom of movement. Just don't engage in open grazing. And why should govt buy land and rent for the herdsmen? Do they share the profits of their business with the government? Do they even pay taxes? 3 Likes |

GoroTango: No to the bolded. Rather the government should buy up any other available grazing route (reserve), and give them to farmers at subsidized rate. We need more farms, parks, and gardens, not routes for cows . The cows and those who chose to live with them belong to 3 Likes |

Gololo told our correspondent on Wednesday that the insistence of the state government to implement the law without provision of ranches and basic amenities to cater for the herders tartamounts to sending them away." WHY WONT THEY SEND YOU AWAY, WHEN U HAVE ALMOST KILL DEM FINISH |

GoroTango: What if no farmer wants to sell his land? Plus it's not by force to make people give their land to those they choose not to. Buhari Has a farm let him allow them use it. when the masses don't see that they are the ones giving the govt power and not the other way round. 2 Likes |

My dear listen to your self very well. Nobody is infringing on their rights. They have the Fundamental and human rights like any other person in the state and Nigeria at large. Did the right also include grazing and rearing Cow in an open place, on the roads, Place of learning, Church and mosques , on peoples farm lands. You will tell me where the law of the Country tolerate such or even accommodate it or enshrined in our 1999 Constitution of Federal republic of Nigeria as amended. The law is simple as a ABC, get a Ranch and graze your cow. Which country have you visited in your life and see Cow parading themselves like Sheep without Shepherd?. That happens only in Nigeria. Go to the Streets of Abuja our so called capital city and our pride, you will see Cow moving indiscriminately. Are you Comfortable with that?. If you ask the State government to buy land for them, equally the sate will also provide land for people to rare Fowls, Snails, Fishponds for people that are into fishery. I think every well meaning Nigerian should welcome and embrace this law because that is the International best standard and practice and it will solve the incessant clashes between the herdsmen and the farmers. We have listen on National television where they claimed that the herdsmen are not from Nigeria and if we are to go by this, all the herdsmen should be send back to their country and obtain proper means of identification before entering our Country because they are intruders. The grasses, trees and shrubs in sambissa forest can feed all the cattle in Nigeria for the next 50yrs,why are they complaining?America,UK,France etc consume more meat than Nigeria, but you can never see their cattle rearers invading people's farms with their cattle and killing the farm owners unlike the Buzus we have here. |

GoroTango: How can restricting the movement of animals equate to restricting the rights of humans to free movement? Oga read the write carefully. Nobody says herdsmen are not welcome to Benue, just don't roam around with your cows! If a Benue man goes to Murtala square in Kano and begins to make yam heaps and you stop him and he claims you are denying him his fundamental human rights would you agree ? Reason like a human Abeg. 5 Likes |
