Do they move the ball with pace? That is run with the ball like Onazi? No. Can they play as full backs No. Do they play like Onazi. No.

Is that all?

Besides, has Chidiebere Nwakali played as full back? I mean can he play LB and Right back? shocked

Please, prove with facts before I dispel your other questions?

Invitation of Kayode has done nothing to justify the invitation of Chidiebere Nwakali. I am not appeased.
Are national team invitations meant to appease you?

I do not need to tell you Hope Akpan or Raheem's attributes. I am telling you what I think the coaches are looking for and why Chidiebere Nwakali is one who ticks the boxes. Highlighting Raheem's attributes does not mean he has what Rohr is looking for. Finito.

Look at this man speaking with two sides of his mouth.

You said the coach is looking for a player with Onazi type of attributes and you told me Chidiebere Nwakali has them hence he deserves the call but now you are singing a new tone

Oga! Answer me

How many of our defensive midfielders do you know that can hold the ball and move with it with pace? None. The only one we have that can offer that quality is Chidiebere Nwakali and maybe Shehu Abdullahi (keep in mind Rohr will not want to tamper with him on the right back position).

So you can write of hundreds of players in that role but it does not mean they have the attributes to fit what the coach wants. That is why I find all these playing time/top leagues talk amateurish.

Keep all those corrupt tags out of the debate. It is uninformed.

Note, Chidebere Nwakali, unlike Onazi has the ability of delivering good final balls. We do not know if Chidiebere Nwakali will make the cut. I am rooting and optimistic he will.

Please let the tech crew work and quit the malicious labelling because of players you are sentimental to did not make the cut.
I'd love to see Shehu in the middle some time. He ball movement is good. I think playing as a DM helps in his playing the RB position. He wasn't convincing at first but he's grown into the position. Are you satisfied with his performance? Do you think he supports the attack well? However like Mickael2 said he might be exposed when he's gets tested by a good wing forward .

On C. Nwakali, let him perform when he gets his chance. It's to the health and vibrancy of our team if we have a good squad. I no dey for 'quantifiable, verifiable unit of measurement' of players. My one demand is perform, second demand is perform, third demand is perform. Kpom!

Yeah, a good one. But I would rather wait to see the Algeria and Argentina games first.

We still need to do some little weeding in the current squad.
OK good one after Algeria and Argentina

Corruption is ignoring players with the same but superior attributes for Chidiebere Nwakali.

That is an utopian dream. It can never happen. Because even this list as it stands is fair but for inclusion of one or two players you've been carry on morosely for days now. Sometimes intuition can guide a good coach to pick a player even when that player has no pedigree.

bro...
please you're absolutely right...
I will also want the nff to begin work in earnest towards the next age grade competitions....
and also... see up structures to keep grooming those discovered under 15 stars in the last NPFL under 15 promise tournament and zenith bank cup....and also keep the tourney on going......

also a committee/scouting network....to help list and call up those youngsters who have openly declared for us....also approach them as a means of formation recognition...

players like deji and co....
I think we should start going after players only who had declared to play for us...even if we think they're not good enough...
an average player is better and profitingto the super eagles... than a quality player who choosed not to play for us......

after all no one knows tomoro...what that average player will turn to
correct

My Oga this a forum where you cannot stop anybody from expressing their opinions,if they like they can add Yakubu,Okocha or Kanu it's allow provided they don't go against the rules and regulations that guide the forum.

Mind you some people make this thread thick,do you think it's easy to be on page 2000 sharing ideas and learning.

Pls make contribution and if you believe you can't stand the name of Martins,Osaze,Ik Uche,Taiwo, Aiyenugba then you keep off from the discussion coz it's a free forum.

My man we are here to learn and share ideas not for fun,a lot have gain here, connection has been established here and guys appreciate it.
He doesn't make contributions oo but he can criticise others who do. I have said it before:if everyone were to go by his prescription this thread would be boring, bereft of deep analysis and would most probably still be at page 100.

Our midfield crumble the moment onazi got injured against france in 2014 WC and there is no decent replacement.don't you think we should avoid making the same mistake in 2018 by grooming onazi's backup earlier b4 the world cup and am sure chidi fits the role.

Had a lot of potential but was affected by injury...

Well he just got the MOTM yes they demolished the non league side Hyde but he was like Yaya Toure running the game.

Not checked the stats buy he had about two assists and one goal. I can see MK Dons beating some championship opposition and maybe an EPL club. It's not impossible I remember them beating sorry flogging, Yes, Manchester United under Van Goal shockingly 4-1.

How am I causing discord? Where did you see me making references that certain part of the country is getting more recognition than others?

If you think the President appointment is tilted towards one section of the country based on Nepotism, don't you also think Chidiebere's invitation contradicts your philosophy of Merit befor Mediocre?

Oga, I am saying things as it is. Spare me abeg. because you are not different.

I really do not have a good appreciation of tribalism, if any so I am handicapped. But nepotism is rife in football and so is racism in England.

I therefore cannot be believe that the NFF is devoid of nepotism.

But the real problem is corruption for financial gain which again is rife in the UK,but not just as blatant as in Nigeria. Does anybody remember Glenn Huddle expose on Nigeria. He was offered the job on the proviso they would inflate hi salary double and they would take the other half.

Glenn Hoddle is not poor and desperate and rightfully made public the shenanigans. Anything happen

I believe when it comes to chop chop there is no tribe and no religion, just the colour of the money. My experience though limited.

the fact that he plays LB doesn't mean he can't perform well in the DM role just like shehu. Lets just sit and watch him play.Echiejile is not reliable again leaving Aina as the only recognised LB so chidi's versatility is a plus.

I really do not think this is a good way of assessing ability.

Nketiah just scored a brace for Arsenal in the EFL cup.. That does not mean he will be a top footballer. I remember a certain Federico Macheda of Man utd, i don't even know where he is now.

Good thank you it's about continous consistency over a good period.

He has started can he continue But I will say he looks very promising.

I was responding to Chrismario , who said many 17 year olds have won MOTM in the English leagued. To make it very easy for him, I asked him to name just 10 over three years from league 1 to the premiership.

I still deh wait, quarell no deh.
