I'm still trying to understand, did Rohr say he will be working with a pool of 35 players?

Haha maybe he really meant 'dilution' from the word 'dilute'.
lol...what he wanted to say was delusions of grandeur...couldn't have been dilution in that context grin

Finally, I get to gauge meanings based on 'context' cheesy

I think it has become traditional for 35 players to be called first and then culled down to 23. If I'm not mistaken its FIFA mandated.

As for Shehu Abdullahi, being the MOTM in the last game is such a mean feat for a Right back. I do not see Rohr tampering with it. Does he support the attack well, I am okay with his overall contribution than just focusing on an aspect of his game. He does a nice job supporting the defence and okay when he goes forward.

As for Chidebere Nwakali, this is his chance to go against some of the big boys in the game. Some of his mates like Nacho and Iwobi have done it on the big stage. It is time for him to give his best. The final call rest on the shoulders of the crew. If they like him fine. If not, the young man needs to keep working hard to achieve greatness.

Shehu is very very poor going forward IMO. I had this conversation with Mujtahida when I pointed out that he has only ONE succesful cross in 3games, that is totally abysmal from a fullback, Aina had barely 30mins and managed one succesful cross. Defensively he has not been tested either. In Africa most of our teams have poor fullbacks so he usually has the liberty of facing only the winger with the aid of Simon Moses, in fact in most cases Simon Moses tracks the winger while he mops up. When we face a good team with a good winger and a fullback, Simon Moses will have his hands full with the opposing fullbacks and we will then see what Shehu can truly offer defensively

Nwofor sorry. My bad

Who is Nwafor?

Or you meant Nwofor?

If it is the same Uche Nwofor, he was in the last World cup and even came is as sub against Iran and Argentina.

I think Iheanacho in front of Iborra and Ndidi would have made the set-up more lethal but let us see how the game goes.
What is happening to Nacho
He left City and they blew up
He came to Lei and got glued to the bench

Good list. Although, I feel a couple of CHAN eagles could make the final 35.
Also, Bryan Idowu could replace Nora Abdulahi.
Well, your suggestions are well taken but I have an almost unsurmountable prejudice against home based players. It's too strong. It's been ingrained in me for so long. I didn't even watch the last WAFU games and I marvelled at the enthusiasm with which some of you followed our every game. Excuse my prejudice (though I doubt you will cos you are a strong advocate of the home front)

Why do you think Bryan Idowu should replace Nura?

Ndidi and Iborra midfield combination continues. Eager to see what happens. Nacho on the bench. Mahrez moves back to the right and Gray starts again

Tough match for Leicester City as they face a struggling Stoke City who will take this match very seriously.

Albrighton also on the bench.
Is that the set up for today's match? I like it that Iheanacho is in the middle. Though I think playing just where Okazaki is would have been more effective.

Shehu is cautious and I like the way he plays in respect of leaving us under less pressure. He also does not make reckless crosses due to our cautious set-up too.

I am okay with him and I see him dealing well with greater pressure due to his style. Another might come in and give more crosses but leave the defenders under more pressure.

The 35 man list emanated from a discussion between me and Mujtahida not Rohr and if you can go back to previous pages you w understand.

Leicester and Stoke currently in a 1-all draw.

Hopefully, Kelechi gets some minutes in the second half

A fullback is supposed to be a passing outlet in defense and in attack. In every top team, bar the midfielders, the fullbacks have the next highest amount of touches and quite sadly Shehu doesn't always provide that. You are right, he applies caution but that used to work in 1990 not anymore, if you sit back too much it will invite pressure from the opposing winger, if you push up the winger will have to move backwards to cover you thus relieving even more pressure from the defense

This Valencia team is 'astonishingly' good. It is heartbreaking when you recall that Iheanacho could have been a part of this Valencia team instead of sitting on the bench somewhere else

Eh Boss, Iheanacho is currently occupying his favourite position on the bench as the chairman, not in the first XI

There's no earthly reason why Kelechi Iheanacho should not be getting playing time on this mediocre Leicester team.

I think he should seek a January transfer right away. Get out of the EPL pronto. Go show his skills in La Liga or Ligue 1

Why was a Barcelona player neglected for those two or three matche? The question you asked obviously portrayed you as one who had not an atom of Gbenga career. So, the question is a distraction and digression from the koko.

Lol. Willing to accept i don't know anything about his career, So please help me understand the answer to the question I asked so I may be enlightened (Including what club he was playing for when he was "ignored" in 1999)
