TheGoodJoe:Read his last paragraph and read this your post :there's no connection between suggesting that an official be designated to build rapport and engagement with players of Nigerian descent born in EUROPE and you talking about undecided people and playing for the QUEEN. Your post is - I'm sorry to say - too superficial, reeks of ignorance and insensitivity. 3 Likes 1 Share |

tbaba1234:Do you think CF is booked coz initially we thought DM is booked until Nwakili invitation, so you cannot say though not easy for Obasi to break into the team but giving him chance he w displace Simeon and Ahmed Musa with ease but i don't think Obasi w be useful at WC cos injury can set in anytime, base on this i still prefer Simeon in the team. |

How was Iwobi's performance yesterday? He needs to shoot more. |

Mujtahida: I second that whole heartedly. He gets into shooting positions a lot but rather than shoot, he passes. I dont know whether its Wenger's instruction or what. Playing both Iwobi and Oezil yesterday clearly shows that if given a chance to express , Iwobi will permanently retire Oezil( that's sentiments apart). I still maintain that Oezil is the weak link. But we know wenger na. E no get Balls!! 3 Likes |

kennysville:Nobody is restraining Iwobi from expressing himself, Wenger already told him that he needs to scores goals to be in XI. He just need to improve on that aspect, not that he is panicking, that's Iwobi game right from time,so he just need to learn fast on shooting and other things. On Ozil, well good for him to bench Ozil but he need to work on a lot of things like you already stated, until he improve on some of his weaknesses,Ozil w still be ahead of him. |

TheGoodJoe: Make una fear God nau. From LM to RB!? I thought tbaba1234 said he plays LB? Now it is RB. The person wey help no sabi work. Now, this is the chat of the roles played and the numbers of times he played in those roles. You know what, no record he ever played as a RB. Meaning he never played the RB role neither did he ever played the LB role. Hahahaha! Go for refund man. Chidiebere Nwakali Matches as Defensive Midfield 33 7 1 Central Midfield 6 1 3 Centre-Forward 5 - 1 Left Midfield 4 - - |

kennysville:Iwobi knows about it. I watched an interview his Dad mentioned it and that Iwobi is working on it. The thing is that these players are also aware of their shortcomings and aspects of their game that needs improvement. Here's a link to the video. Very interesting interview covering a range of issues but if you want to listen to the part in context go to the 16/17 minute mark of the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoLUmuKRd5I 2 Likes |

TheGoodJoe: This is the full history of all the positions Ogenyi Onazi played. From the same transfermarkt . As you can see, he is more of a CM than DM. Going by this, we can conclude that Hope Akpan and Raheem lawal are in the same mold of Onazi and not Chidiebere. Matches as Central Midfield 104 12 7 Defensive Midfield 39 2 2 Attacking Midfield 1 1 - Right-Back 1 - - Right Midfield 1 |

My preferred world cup 23-man team. 1. Enyeama 2. Akpeyi 3. Ezenwa 4. Abdullahi 5. Echiejile 6. Ekong 7. Balogun 8. Aina 9. Omeruo 10. Awaziem 11. Joel Obi 12. Mikel 13. Ndidi 14. Onazi 15. Etebo 16. Iwobi 17. Moses 18. Simon 19. Musa 20. Ighalo 21. Iheanacho 22. Aluko 23. Success 1 Like |

forgiveness:So between him and Ndidi who is supposed to sit back MORE and shield the back four? I want to understand the analysis hitherto given by some here. If Joel Obi continues posting quality performances without succumbing to injury, I see him getting a recall. |

Kog45: I would love to argue my point in depth but I wont due to time constraint. Awoniyi for me has not improved or grown at all since his Under 17 days. He was good at that level but when it comes to the men's game I am afraid a serious footballing country cannot have him in the set up as things stand today. I will give you a very easy challenge; name 10 (TEN) Nigerian Forwards who would trump Awoniyi in the below broad aspects of the game; 1. Do their primary job as a striker on the pitch 2. Inspire the team mates they play alongside likewise fans in the stands. 3. Strike fear into opposing defenders. Trust me you can do it, with ease. I can count even more than 10. I saw a couple games when he was on loan in FSV Frankfurt and I cant say how disappointed I was with his game. Granted he has scored 3 goals in 12 games this season (his best goals return ratio in his career!) but this young man has PLENTY of growing to do before he can be considered as serious possibility for a call up. Gbolohan Salami had a goal in every other game for KuPS last season - no call up In 12/13 Season Imoh Ezkiel had 14 goals in 22 games for Standard Liege - no call up For 3 seasons running from 12/13 Anthoy Ujah was netted over 10 goals per season - no call up We all know what Onyekuru and Kayode's goal scoring feats were last season (both highest goal scorers in their respective league campaign's) before they eventually managed a call up. Still yet to feature in a proper game. The CF position is the most competitive position in the super eagles. Awoniyi is a boy, likewise Osimhen. |

Mujtahida: Of course Ndidi. Onazi plays the CM while Mikel takes the AM role. If Joel comes, Ndidi go Sidon for bench while Onazi takes his position. Joel will slot in easily into Onazi's CM role. Except the coach wan deceive himself Joel Obi must go world cup if fit and this is the time to start blending him with the team. 1 Like |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mujtahida: 1:11pm On Nov 06, 2017 |
forgiveness:Unless your analysis on Onazi is wrong- why do some here criticise him that he lacks positional discipline and ought to shield the back four when - according to your analysis - that should be Ndidi's role. Are they mistaken in their understanding of Onazi's role? Meanwhile Ndidi has never - I dare say - given an outstanding performance in the Gwg as he does for Leicester City. I wish he'd do more in the Gwg. |
