We have no choice from what I say yesterday. Ezenwa is not physically imposing in the box. If he is in goal, the Argentines will come for him.

Unless Rohr will instruct the defence to shield Ezenwa to give him time to get to the ball, we have to opt for a big physical presence which Uzoho clearly brings. Keep in mind, this is a friendly match. The right time to make risks.

Rohr that I know would rather start Akpeyi.

Uzoho is not tested enough to shoulder that responsibility. It is not just an issue of height.

It's kinda funny when you come up with such rigid opinion as regards Iwobi. Do some research.

Oasis007:

It's kinda funny when you come online and read Stuffs like Iwobi is the best AM option for Nigeria. Perhaps they think he's the new JayJay.

Iwobi is a Winger, in the Mould of Sanchez. He ain't a creative Midfielder who can orchestrate the Game from the Middle. Rather a type that can do the damages from the either Wings.

I ENJOY BEING ARSENAL'S NO. 10, SAYS ALEX IWOBI
Tolu Olasoji

The Nigeria international is pleased with his role in Wenger's squad, while hoping the Blues slip up in the English toplight title race
Alex Iwobi has revealed that he enjoys playing in the no. 10 position for Arsenal.
With Mesut Ozil, absent through illness in the Gunner’s 2-0 English Premier League win over Crystal Palace, the 20-year-old was moved to the central attacking midfielder position. And repaid Arsene Wenger’s faith by sealing the victory with his second league goal of the season.
The Nigeria international who spent his youth days playing behind the striker said he prefers featuring in the much-coveted position and keeps learning to be at his best in that area.

"It (No. 10) is where I have grown up playing and where I enjoy playing the most but wherever I am put on the pitch, I will do my best and whenever I get told to play any position I give 100 per cent,” Iwobi told Evening Standard.
"There are a lot of players who can play No.10; a lot of ball players in the team. Every day in training I am always learning and trying to add it to my game."

Asked about his plans and expectations for the new year, the midfielder said: "I haven't looked that far ahead.
"I concentrate on every game and taking it game by game. I don't know, I just have to wait and see.
"On the team's behalf we are focusing more on ourselves and our performance.
"Hopefully if Chelsea slip up, they slip up but we have to make sure we win to keep up the title race. The games are coming thick and fast; we just have to prepare the same.

"We have got the momentum, we are confident now and hopefully we can keep up our winning streak. I'm just trying to do the best I can.
"If the team does well that is the main thing,” he concluded.

You call it a friendly? Yes a friendly but friendlies have since gained importance with the introduction of the FIFA rankings and also more importantly the rankings are used for seeding in CAF and FIFA organized competitions.
Friendlies are also used for team building and solidification.
And also very importantly we are playing Argentina and we need to be at our best because if we have a disastrous game it can completely derail our preparations for the world cup.

A dead runner game of yesterday and people have been making all sorts of comments about Rohr and the team.

I asked you if it is your preferred line up or what you think Rohr will line up.

The Rohr that I know will very likely not start Uzoho against Argentina.

Reintroducing Akpeyi is not a retrogression.
After all Alex Iwobi was initially dropped from starting line up and he is back in it.

Iheanacho also started yesterday, is that a retrogression.

My preferred starting eleven but I hope Rohr gives Uzoho a chance. The limitations of Ezenwa to deal with aerial balls under pressure was very clear.

My preferred Lineup against Argentina. (4 - 4 - 2) Formation needs to be tested by Rohr, we can't rely only on 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 every time.

------------------- Akpeyi --------------------

Shehu ------ Ekong --- Balogun ------- Aina

-------------- Ogu ------ Mikel --------------

Iwobi-------------------------------- Onyekuru

----------- Iheanacho --- Kayode -------------

I picked Akpeyi over Ezenwa simply to know if he deserves a place in the Team to Russia. This should be his final Test, and if he fails it, then Rohr should stop inviting him.

He's more exposed than Ezenwa professionally, hence it's a big Shame Ezenwa is considered ahead of him as Eagles present No. 1.

The Backline is solid against the Algerians. I think it's better we allow the quartet to starting gelling together henceforth. We need to know what they can offer in Russia, starting from the next (Friendly) Match.

Ogu and Mikel Pivot gonna be a good Combo. Both can tackle superbly and shield/hold on the Ball excellently. While Ogu is dealing with short Passes, Mikel would be dealing with long range Passes to the frontline.

They do not need to attack, rather allow the Wingers - Iwobi and Onyekuru doing the Job. Their primary Assignments would be; shielding the Defense, controlling the Game and freeing up the Wingers and the Strikers doing the damages.

Iheanacho is a creative Player, with good eyes for Goals and decisive passes. Playing him and Kayode upfront gonna be a Menace for the Argentine Defenders.

Iheanacho can shoot from outside, Kayode gets the Pace, Onyekuru gets magical feet, and Iwobi is technically gifted.

I hope to see what the Lads can offer in a 4 - 4 - 2 Formation.

Beautiful formation but I don't see Ndidi sitting on bench against Argentina he is the best tackler we have at this moment we should continue using him for more understanding...

My opinion though...

Firstly, once a girl is under age it is statutory rape it is assumed the child does not have the mental competence to give consent. Therefore it is rape.

Managers and Coaches know what's good for the Players, they see them in Training, they know their capabilities and weaknesses. Can Iwobi play 10...?! Yes! But can he play the Position satisfactorily?! Not Sure!

I remember Dudes claiming Etebo best Position is AM, he was tried there Yesterday and we all saw he's ain't made for the Position.

Mkhtaryan claimed his best Position is 10, and Mourinho was playing him out of Position last Season. He gets his chances this Season, he was exceptional in the few Matches, but now turns out to be a ghost of himself.

At Dortmund, he played mostly on the LW, he banged Goals and Assists, won best Player in the League..... yet he's not satisfied playing on the Wing at United. I believe he has seen the Light now!

I may sound too rigid with my Submission on Iwobi best Position, but I believe his Handlers ain't making Mistakes by playing him on the Wing Sir.

And if uzoho messes up, what next?... Isn't it the same you that will call for his head?... My guy leave that thing. Ajiboye, Akpeye, Ezenwa, Alampasu, Uzoho are one and the same - average keepers, and quite sadly they are all we've got. So we have no choice than to manage them like that.

It will be foolhardy and suicidal thinking of going to look for another keeper who we will take to the world cup aside these. And it will be more laughable to make your Uzoho first choice going to the Mundial. I would rather correct the errors of Akpeyi and Ezenwa than treading the options above. So tone down on your criticism of a player when he makes an error in a game.

Please learn from history and work with what you have.

The exercise is to see who my best players are and to test thier competency.

I would start Aina as RB we do not know how good Shehu is until thier is someone to compare him too.

Back to my principle club form should be the basis for inclusion all things being equal.

Ebuehi I really don't know how good his club form is. How outstanding is he in the Eredivisie. But this is a good test for him he should be in the mix.

Ebuehi is not able to replace Etebo that's not his position. That's unfair it's almost setting him up to fail.

I had modified the post. Please read it again.
Would you rather start Ebuehi at LB?

Modified.
Ebuehi will play Right Midfield in a 4-4-2 formation comfortably well. And that means he could fall back to RB when Shehu advances, and vice versa

Iwobi is another one like KC any constructive criticism gets very emotive responses but in the negative.

Iwobi is limited in midfield as an AM he doesn't have the passing range or vision.

Iheanacho has shown he can press and track-back, thus the Team can switch to 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 with Iheanacho becoming an AM.

Because it will be easier to launch a Counter-Attack with Iheanacho playing behind Kayode. He gets the Pace and also can give a decisive Pass.

The coaches need to teach our players how to be actors on the pitch.

That moment when Brahimi headed Shehu, he had no business being on his feet.

He ought to have fallen and rolled as if a sledge harmer was used on him.

That would probably have influenced the ref to show Brahimi the red card. These are some of the tricks South Americans and Europeans use to edge out their opponents when there is nothing to separate the two.

This singular act can prove crucial in a world cup game.

Yes Ndidi is a great Tackler, but calmness on the Ball and Confidence supersede Tackling; the major Reason I opt for Ogu. Besides, Ogu is a Threat outside the Box, he's likely to convert 1/3 Rebounds from the Corner Kicks.
