I'm glad someone noticed that. We now have warriors. To chip in, I also liked how Shehu kicked the ball,in anger and rushed to Brahimi when he should have kicked the ball out for fair play. This was what started the whole headbutting melee. Everyone came around. Before our players used to coward especially in away games. But his new SE team don't give a crap. I sooooo love this mentality a lot. Someone watching the game yesterday would think the ticket was on the line btw both teams. So much for a dead rubber game. goldfish80: 6 Likes |

in a nutshell, it is kept within a circle and under the table. Unlike in Naija, it's a way of life, else you will be left behind or be scorned at. In the US many business practices are actually corrupt. What we have is "smart" people who can get around the law yet still not break the law. Still corrupt in my opinion from a moral standpoint. For example, are there policemen who take bribe? Yes, but not commonplace. And when it happens it is kept down low. Modified Reference to your link. That's some high level corruption if true.. Were the allegations true? komekn: 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe gave a well detailed and true review of this match. I don't understand why people are trying to shout him down. Nigerians are unbelievable---everybody is forming sports analyst...LMAO And yes, TheGoodJoe was correct John Ogu was very impressive giving the fact that he hasn't played for the SE in a minute. However, I will rather play him as a central or defensive midfielder because of his limited passing range. The pitch was in a very bad state and it hugely affected the flow of the game. There was a cross Iwobi was gonna send in but the ball bounced off an uneven ground and he lost control. The Eagles didn't play so badly after all, therefore I don't see the reason for all the badmouthing. When you add the fact that most of these guys are playing together for the first time and also that the match bears no importance to our world cup status then you can see we weren't bad. 4 Likes |

Five Things We Learned From Nigeria's 1-1 Draw With Algeria : Echiejile Better Than Aina, Iwobi & Iheanacho Struggled Published: November 11, 2017 A late controversial Yaccine Brahimi penalty robbed the Super Eagles a record victory in the FIFA World Cup qualifying series after they had all but looked set to pick up their fifth group match win. But then, if the Super Eagles resilience and tenacity in matching up to everything their desperate opponents threw at them and even with their deficiencies not exposing their soft under belly (no thanks to Slimani and Mahrez's profligacy), this encounter, thus sprouted vivid themes — some of which we are inevitably accustomed to. 1) The Algerian attack was particularly lethargic — It was shocking that the Super Eagles nondescript start in the rear was not actually capitalised on by the fearsome trio of Brahimi, Slimani or even the tricky Mahrez, with Slimani particularly culpable here. When one is forced to equally pontificate on the fact that neither of them even looked like carving out clear goalscoring opportunities in the first period in spite of Balogun's momentary jitters, then you have to feel for Raber Madjer, who would most certainly have desired more from his firepower. What summed up their frustrations in front of goal? Mandi headed over with the goal gaping and Slimani missed an unbelievable sitter, miscuing when he should have freakishly guided home: one would just wonder what The Fennecs are up to offensively. 2) Ola Aina might not match Echiejile's defensive astuteness just yet — It could have been a debut appearance to forget for the 21-year old had Riyad Mahrez really been in the mood and most people would agree that perhaps, the defensive line is better off with the much-maligned Echiejile, the Chelsea defender's tendency to occasionally switch off defensively though. For all we know, the regular left-back is not a speedster going forward, but defensively, even when he is caught out, would always find a way to recover and put his body on the line. The same can not be said of Aina(at least for now) who looked fidgety and unconvincing with clearances and whenever Mahrez was on the break, his only positives being his overlapping runs to join attacks and even most of his final balls were disappointing. 3) The goalkeeper berth is still very much up for grabs — Not in any way to taint the FC Ifeanyi Ubah goal tender but then, it is still very clear that Ezenwa might not match up with what quality firepower might throw at him, say an attacking class of Lionel Messi and Paulo Dybala, or Harry Kane and Dele Alli was almost certain to find ways to breach him. That said, the 29-year old is yet to truly convince and his inferior composure when facing spot kicks had equally not helped. 4) Balogun and Troost-Ekong might always be called upon to bail out defensively — They hardly put a foot wrong in ditching out their defensive duties and even Balogun's out-of-sorts start never looked to be exploited. No secret too that he eventually grew into the game to post a near-untainted display, nonetheless. Troost-Ekong on his part, took no prisoners as usual and we soon lost count of his clearances and stifling Slimani almost completely out of play. 5) Iwobi and Iheanacho's performance poor by their standards — Iheanacho's listless display out wide left much to be desired and might have petered out badly, especially if The Desert Warriors had taken their chances at the opposite end. So there is no gainsaying that he should have performed better, judging by his standard. Iwobi who fared better should equally have been disappointed with his end product and it is such performances that the youngsters would quickly want to forget and put behind them, especially with the likes of Henry Onyekuru and Ahmed Musa waiting in the wings. I just finished watching the game again and in my own opinion against Argentina, I believe we should start with; Akpeyi Shehu Ekong Balogun Aina Etebo Ndidi Mikel Iwobi Iheanacho Onyekuru Ogu, Ebuehi, Kayode, Awaziem should at least get a good run-in in the second half. Etebo did better in the second half and I saw a bit of him more in the second half when not saddled with the responsibility of being the AMF. He has boundless energy which I believe can be put to good use against the Argies. 2 Likes |

Joebie: It's almost impossible to prove, particularly with offshore banking and a lot of foreign player transfers. He would gives and he who recieve both are guilty. The evidential requirements within a court of law will need some one to admit giving or receiving. Nobody will indict themselves. The other situations are quite subjective and to get the evidence problematic. The other issues of racism that our boys face that's a whole new subject is wrong and a reflection of corruption as well. |

We are not looking for starters, rather a good bench, we have the starters already (Mikel, Onazi and ndidi). Agu is mostly brought in for Mikel which to me isn't creative. Mikel should be for Joe Obi, Onazi for Ogu. But Joe Obi, Mikel and Ndidi/Onazi can start together anytime any day PDPGuy: |

Have Found Some Good New Players Ahead Of The World Cup – Rohr Reveals November 11, 201704 Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has praised the performance of the fringe players he played yesterday in Constantine when Nigeria were forced to a 1-1 draw by Argentina. Rohr praised the attitude of the players who were minutes away from clinching a win before a controversial penalty helped Algeria draw level late into the game. The performance of the players has convinced Rohr about the depth his team possess as they head out to the World Cup in Russia next year. “Everybody worked well, they lost the ball and the tried to get it back. They did well which means that the building is starting now and some things are changing. We have the same attitude. “The game showed us that we have players who can play in different positions. We were searching to find new players and we found good new players but we must wait and the return of some injured players. goldfish80: Great point, something i wanted to mention. Against France, an aggressive reaction to the tackle against Onazi could have gotten France a red card. Instead, we were so timid. Sometimes, the reaction matters. If Shehu fell down after the headbutt, it could have been a straight red. |
