okay and is the decision made by a board or voting from certain individuals?

I don't really know, but I think it's some individuals.

Unfortunately this is a observation that most still have not made or accepted.

So people judge a player even on thus thread buy unnecessary show boating.

I remember when Iwobi did a rainbow flick of sorts on the pitch. It was as if he scored a goal.
Don't be too fast komekn. Don't think that I like the changes ooo in today's football which emphasises functionality over creativity. I prefer flair abeg. What is football if we do not have our ooo ohhhhhh lala moments, that moment when a player does something magical and wows us?
Here's my favourite football quote from Socrates of Brazil, the great master of jogo Bonito 'beauty is important;victory is secondary. What matters is joy.'

I just endure the trend nowadays not that I enjoy it.

Uzoho is playing every week for the B side in division 3.

Oh!

That's enough for someone his age, I doubt any tram would take him a loan straight to their starting lineup.

We are saying the same thing somewhat. Experience puts you at that level of officiating. How about the older ones that have been doing it? aha

somehow:
I doubt it, maybe they look at "experience" before picking because we have about 2 young Nigeria ref (Qadri Adebimpe and Ferdinand Udoh, both less than 30yrs (very true to their ages) and have been officiating both CCL, CCC, nations cup qualifiers and world cup qualifiers. Look them up, they are FIFA badged refs.

No we aren't saying the same thing.

"They aren't good enough" is different from they have experienced seniors ahead.

Being young doesn't equate not "good" enough.

Exactly, the guy has a soft spot for the English league and all players playing there... I don't have a problem with that, but downplaying other leagues and forcing English groomed players down our throats is what I can not take. He and his partner in crime @forgiveness must think that we are clueless about football and these players simply because we are not close up to them as much as they do forgetting that the world does not revolve around UK and English football alone.

I dare say that football exist outside England and very good football too. Having a preconceived notion about other country leagues purely based on statistics is hogwash. I mean if stats play football then there is no need for predictions and analyses anymore, let's all close shop and go home since we already know every competition's winner.

To me, having a preconceived prejudice is being high handed and sitting on a false glorified high stool which wouldn't make you see beyond your nose. The same mistake England keep making over and over.

There is a big difference between the English league and the English team. Take away all the foreign players from the English league and tell me what will be left of it. The best of the world's players make the English league thick and that's why when it comes to the 3 lions, they are a shadow of themselves.

Therefore it will be too erroneous judging football from only the English perspective, we have had a fair share of our SE players from the English league, let's blend them with players from other leagues, we have the advantage of variety, so let's use it. Enough of clamoring for 22/11 players all from the English leagues.

Also we should be done testing new or fringe players, no time anymore for that. We only 4-5 matches to play before the world Cup, let's use it to blend and gel the already available players.

At this stage, so long as you are not a Messi or a Ronaldo, please stay far away from our team.

Thank you

All I read here is rant full of sentiments devoid of cogent facts.

First of all, I have never downplayed top leagues aside EPL neither have I canvessed only for English groomed player saved that mushroom lowly rated Norwegian league you and your cohorts want to force down the throats of football loving people of Nigeria. And I will keep downgrading and be resistance to any player from those back water leagues outside the top 10 or 15 leagues in the world except such player is considered one of the best players in such leagues. If you like carry Cambridge and Oxford take write grammar full ground, you no fit stop me.

Moreover, I can see you are trying so hard to downgrade English groomed players because you are obviously ignorant or perhaps being mischievous at best. If not, how come you don't know Lampard, Gerard, Rooney, Bale, Ashley Cole, Owen Hargreaves, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Andy Cole, Mac Manaman, Ryan Gigs, Michael Owen, John Terry etc added much more values to the EPL and to the biggest clubs in EPL, and they are English groomed players, huh? Or are these players mediocre at best in your own world of grading standards? shocked grin

And pls pls pls, don't tell us best players in the world can only be found in the EPL. Abi, Messi, Ronaldo, Kroos, Suarez, etc are playing in their homeland leagues? Remove all the foreign players in the La liga and you have a dead league, and same goes with Bundusliga, Ligue 1 etc. So, don't come here to deceive people that it is only in EPL foreign players make it thick. Na fat lie.

Let me make this clear to you, all the Champion League trophies won by British clubs in the last 10 years had at least 4 English groomed players in the first 11, and only the Spanish team had won that trophy in the last 10 years than the English club. Tell me another lies.

Therefore, the inability to translate their enormous talent into English national team has nothing to do with talent but fatigue. Go make research before you start portraying yourself as ignoramus. grin

So, because you want to have a blend we should ignore players in the best leagues for obscure leagues players, ba? shocked grin

Oga, look around your SE and just list your top 5 players without the so called English groomed players.

My friend, we must choose from the best we have.thank you

Mujtahida:

Both stability and continous improvement in good measure. An English idiom says a rolling Stone gathers no Moss. You cannot in the name of improvement keep changing the team in such a way that the team acquires no tone or rhythm. If stability overrides continous development there's the risk of complacency setting in. If new additions are made at blistering pace there's the risk of having players but no team. Balance is the key word and I think Rohr is moving at a steady pace on both indices. Uzoho, Onyekuru, Nwakali, Ebuehi, Agu were not there in the beginning but there are in the frame now.

@the bolded: you need not hear it. How many players did Chelsea bring into the first team this season? Why didn't they overhaul the whole team. I hope you know that there are players better than each of the Chelsea players.

I repeat: everything in good measure. Seems to me as if you are not concerned about the SE per se. As I've said before your concern is to get the SE chock full of FB players in the UK.

Nwakali is not there yet.

I'm not going by what a website posts. I'm going by,what I watch with my eyes. Except maybe in games I didn't watch but most porto2 games are streamed in YouTube. They always play 4 at the back. I may not be a coach but I can tell 4 at the back from 3 or 5 at the back

Questence:

You are all wrong.

Porto B plays 3 at the back.

He plays as a wing back not right back. And he is still listed as a midfielder meaning should their formation return to 4 at the back he will play in the midfield just like victor moses.

Check the picture of their profile I have attached.

The only difference I see here is at the bolded. You really don't care if all our best players and by extension our fielded 11 is from the English league. This notion I am terribly against because we might end up becoming a perennial underachiever like the 3 lions angry

I don't want their badluck rubbing off on us grin I prefer to have a mix of different flair of European football in order to blend and produce a dynamic team for us.

Understand?
