I take one of the average size broilers. In my set, roughly more than half are of one size

Koudijis will always advised based on the concentrate bought

My seven weeks briolers refuse to grow again. I started given them finished early at 3weeks. Thinking it might be the reason they ain't growing again. Legs appear tiny and weak. Have been gvin calcium too. They weigh less than a kilo

Noted. Its true KBC-10 though that's the common one seen everywhere

Many reasons can be the cause
1. Feed quality. What brand?
2. Feed availability. Do you feed 24/7?
3. Drugs used. Are you using according to dosage?
4. Room temperature. Very high temp will show stress on your birds
5. Hatchery quality. Where are your birds from? Is it a reputable hatchery? Are there the F1 generation?
6. Management especially liter management. How clean is your coop?

If the legs appear tiny and weak, then you are likely underfeeding them.

Birds are CHI
Litter is relatively dry always
This is not my first or second or third batch of birds. I hv a routine management I follow strictly. I sell at 7weeks. But this one shock me... Thinking disposing them already. I use Vital Feed. And I feed ad libitum

Where did you get them from? I am not talking about the hatchery, I am talking about who supplied the birds.

I went to the place where birds coming into the town are collected to pick my own. You suspect I wasnt given the original

Vitalfeed could be the culprit. Their broiler finisher is something else
Something else how? I have always preffered pelletized feed to mash.
Re: ... by adisabarber(m): 12:38pm On Nov 22, 2017
If you bought from agents, they sometimes just buy from backyard hatcheries and change the boxes to those of reputable hatcheries. It has happened to me before but I thought I wasn't doing things right.

lol. Oga your condemnation can pass for a legal action . I think the he/she should get birds from reputable supplier. (turks come to mind). he/she should stop patronising backyard agents in open markets, they are con.
Again, his/her management, we don't even know . next time when u purchase such birds, feed starter at least 28days, and gradually switch to finisher. pelletized feeds are best if u want to achieve uniformity at a higher percentage and faster weight gain.

Turks:
*Good source of Chicks
*Clean environment
*Adequate ventilation
*Proper Litter management
*Non-antibiotics/Organic supplements abuse (this hinders growth a lot)
*Biosecurity
*Lighting
*Good feed
*Adequate feeding
*Stocking density*
*Cool clean water

All these put in place will give good results no doubt.

Nice. But how does lighting contribute positively and at what age is that?
Re: ... by Turks: 10:47pm On Nov 22, 2017
Lighting from day old enables the birds feed adlib. Feeding adlib promotes weight gain making the birds hit their target weight faster therein. Thank you.
