I totally understand your point but you are the one not ready to accept haters, wicked people, tribal bigots exist in all tribes, places and office.

Let me share something happening to me right now. I live in a house with standard flats and BQs. my neighbor who is igbo rented his BQ to a young guy who is a tailor. what if i tell you this tailor guy has never greeted me in the over one year he moved into the house. i have caught him several times looking at me with that " who does he think he is" kind of look. Maybe because i am single and living in a flat alone he is jealous or just pure envy. I have come home several times that this guy will be standing beside the gate and instead of him to open the gate for me, he acts like he is too blind to see my car. will it be ok if i say igbo people are jealous and envious people because the guy is igbo?

Now lets go back to the period after 1970, AFTER THE CIVIL WAR. Do you realize there was no case of abandoned property in the SW. igbos came back to Ibadan, Lagos etc to meet their property and even got their rent paid fully to them while in the SS igbos were not allowed to go near their property again. Google abandoned property after the civil war and show me one single case of igbo property taken over in the SW.

when people say Yoruba people are accommodating, it is not gain saying.

You waste too much time n intelligence enlightening these diehard tribalist. Please visit any Diamond bank and count how many Yoruba is employed and compare that to any Yoruba owned banks with the percentage of Igbos employed. The Igbo that make my dress have two different offices, I can argue I am one of his most valued customers this guy operate around Ajah with about 10 employees no one is a Yoruba but I still deal with him. That is how tribalistic this people are but when you play them at their game they shout discrimination.

If Yoruba discriminate so much will the HausaFulani have it's own communities of Sabos in nearly every neighboured ? Will the Igbo shouting discrimination still continue to troop in from the East ? Please ask the people of the NigerDelta / Middlebelt what discrimination they have faced living n doing business in YorubaLand ? Is it not a curse that it is only Igbos that complain about Hausa witching hunting them after they slaughtered the Prime Minister and Premier both northerners. They probably expected the HausaFulanis to praise n congratulate them on that.

At another time they were shouting NigerDeltans took over their properties and now it is Yoruba who they litter it's land that are now after them. Is it not glaring that the problem of the universe is on this Igbos ? It is the same Igbo that was chased from South Africa during xenphopic attacks where they threatened to wipe the young men of that society with hard drugs. They are they ones that will complain about Germans, Chinese, Canadians, Australians, British, Arabs, Malays and what have you. Anywhere their dubious evil act is being limited they cry foul, fulish set of people.

@op, I love your success story but you are wrong that all Yoruba discrimate. Let me state it here that every tribe discrimate but the level of discrimation was not the same.
Be informed that Yoruba are the most peace loving & accomodating tribe ever liveth on earth.
Go to Computer Village, Ikeja to see that Igbo accomodate 90% of shops over there. Go to Queen Cinema, Ekotedo Ibadan to see that the story was the same.
Its good that you are back home & wish that your kinsmen can follow your footstep.
Its good to travel outside one's domain but its wise to have investment back home. The likes of Genieve Nnaji prefers to have huge investment in Abuja but no single investment in Imo State(her hometown).

Lagos is already over congested and the rent is just beyond outrageous.
New businesses often fail in Lagos because of capital need to set up in a big way is simply lacking for newbies.

Anyone that wants to lay a solid foundation for himself should go to Awka, Asaba, Owerri or Umuahia. Even Onitsha, Port Harcourt and Aba are almost too full now.

The north could have been a viable option, but If you try the north, you do so at your own peril.

Lagos is too congested anyway. It is good you are thinking home. Hopefully more people will follow suit. Unfortunately up until this morning, hundreds of buses are still dropping people all over south west and returning back to the east almost empty, to bring in more people the following day.
That is the truth except somebody wants to tell lies or deceive him or herself.

What a hard experience my but thank God u finally stood after going through all these.

But i will still point this out that yoruba people are too segregating... yes they discriminate a lot.
And thats vry bad.

I hav had some experiences where a yoruba man will prefar to tell a blatant lie just to take sides with his fellow yoruba man.. its a pity.

There was a time i went for job interview they people inteviewing us coulndt hide their bias callin all yorubas in a seperate room to advice them or somethin.... later iheard that most of d yorubas got d job. Even one dat didnt study anythin related to what we came for.

Yet some fools will tell me we are ONE NIGERIA

Its either biafra or niger delta republic.
ONLY PATIENCE AND TIME WILL TELL
what a wasted life!

Nigeria is not likely to make any meaningful progress with Eboes in their midst. When Nigeria is tired of them and realise their mistake of keeping hemt, no one will teach Nigeria before they start to chase Eboe saboteurs away

You're right, there are criminals everywhere, but this is not what this thread is all about.
It's about discrimination and hatred because you're from a particular tribe. That is something you'll hardly find in the east. A lot of people from SW and other parts of the country live and function peacefully in the east without any form of discrimination. They're not treated differently than Igbos. You don't see Igbos "winching" them or carrying placards and whining that they should leave the SE.
because they are not arrogant and declaring their host land no mans lands.threatening they will buy it over, disrespecting the eze lie eze ndigbo did in Akure etc!

Not quite.
You seem not to understand the concept of "no man's land".
That is a tag most emerging cities in Nigeria, and all over the world, would have to live with.
The issue of ownership of Lagos is another issue altogether.
I assure you, however, that there are core facts as to the first inhabitants of Lagos .
When you insist on a United Nigeria, and have even gone to war because of that, but goes ahead to see some certain people as visitors, then there lies the problem.

Wait until PH sea port, Calabar Port, Onitsha and other Ports around the east becomes fully operational, you will see how many Igbos will leave Lagos.
The paramount interest of an average Igbo man anywhere he goes is opportunity to make it in life
The more the opportuinity is made available around the east the more they come home. Don't worry we will soon get there.

True life story of young entrepreneur who migrated from Lagos to Anambra

I graduated from Unizik, and served in Lagos at NAPIMS Bayo-kuku, Ikoyi office passed out 2011, for months in Lagos no job, I had to use the little savings I had then to rent a shop at Obalende, during my days in high institution I trained in hardware and software maintenance also phone repairing, I started my business in 2012 repairing phones and laptops, I was staying in one room apartment at Ikoyi, as a graduate my business package was quite different, I had many customers from Ikoyi especially those along Awolowo road, my customers then comes from Lakki, VI, unilag, ajah etc within short period I started selling accessories, although the shop size was small, most times customers will be much waiting for me to attend to their needs, within short while I started selling phones, I relocated to Ajah 2 bed room flat owned by Igbo man, driving from Ajah then became very stressful for me, I had to leave my house before 5am to Ikoyi close around 9:30pm, get home 11am or to 12, sometimes when I'm driving home I will be feeling wobbly in middle of heavy traffic, my business was performing well but I was stressing myself.
In my business premise, it was just four shops, our landlady she's Yoruba , I noticed one of my neighbors vacated from his shop, it was remaining three of us one norther and a Ghanian both are fashion designers , I approached my landlady and told her that I'm interested to rent the shop, she said no, that she can't give her two shops to Omo-Igbo, I was like I told her what matters is prompt payment, she refused, I was managing the small space for months the shop was still empty because of ridiculous price she placed, one faithful day she called me and asked me if I'm still interested I said yes, we negotiated the price I paid her, I used one side for repair and the second for sales, I employed an assistance, I package the shop installed AC and my business was doing well, what I now noticed was my landlady started keeping malice, when ever I greet her she doesn't respond, I called her son and complained to him, he assured me to speak with his mum, honestly I didn't know the reasons why she started showing malevolent towards me, I'm not owing her of any bills, one day she called me and asked me to remove the AC I installed, which I did, still yet she wasn't satisfy, I started noticing white substance in-front of my two shops, I always pray over it and start my business, I had accident twice with my car, the last incident that happened the car airbags pulled out, I don't know how she got the information, my neighbor heard her soliloquising, that I will know the kind of person she is, she tried all she could to hurt me but she didn't succeed, what she did was to give me quit-notice, I had to vacate her shops it was a very big challenge to get shop around, I had to relocate to Ajah Oke Ire kekere, the landlord asked me to pay for three years I pleaded with him to reduce the price to two yrs he insisted for three yrs rent, since I was desperate my option was limited, I had to pay, fixed the shop tire, paint etc. business there was very slow for days no sale and repair, because of Ajah holdup majority of my customers find it difficult to come to my new location, my major problem there became hoodlums, where I relocated to was shopping complex, one day thieves came to our complex bugled all shops up stair including my, stole my goods left no trace crossword clue grin grin although the case was reported to police, we had to implore company security, not up one month they revisited, could you imagine that those security men were not aware, we had to lock them up, my experience there was terrifying all I labored for went down, I had to go to Ajah market to search for my goods, since police can't do their work, I placed my faith in God's hand, I went there the first day I didn't succeed, the second day I noticed two stands, their show glasses was stocked with Etisalat wireless modems, and they look like my, still skeptical not just me that sale modem, I was convinced when I saw my price tags in two different locations, I told one of the boys let me use ATM, I had to involve the police, they came there arrested them and move them to Langbasa police station, they confessed one guy sold the items to them, from their confession we were able to arrest they culprit, the boy is from Osun a hardened criminal he refused to name his gang members, for days the guy refused to confess, police release those guys without my consent, I had to inform my friend that work with force headquarter Abuja, he linked me up to SAS Ikeja, they had to rearrest those guys and move the case to Ikeja, the boy confessed said they are three gang members and they used charm that made the security men to dozed off, we recovered some Items and they paid for those that we couldn't recover, my neighbors were reluctant I had to do it alone.

Before then I've been reading developments in Enugu and Anambra state threads I had no option than to think east,

Pics below how empty my business was in Ajah

My brother na dia life full of wickedness and spite, when u commot dey go begin call and miss

Naso the yoruba for my compound they, I be friend to him son but the mother dey behave anyhow.......the tire me not only her others.......spiteful attitude the thing tire me
