Arebo: sorry about your refusal again. Most likely a fresh picked up your app like you and just saw something else. However if i may ask what did you do differently in your second app? Did you add a LOE? Did you change your SOP? Did you pay fees? I still believe you should apply for GCMS and give it another shot |

Pls I kindly need answers to the following questions 1. How do I pay the application fees for admissions? 2. Can I apply to meet up deadline and then send transcripts a week later? Pls my people online should kindly respond as I need answers urgently. Thank you for your kindness |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Austinpee4: 10:32pm On Nov 22, 2017 |
TDultimate: Apparently, you answered the checklist questions as applying to renew your study permit hence the supplementary provision for those documents. You'll have to answer the questionaire questions again and provide the appropriate answers. It will provide the necessary tab for you if you are applying for a study permit for the first time. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Austinpee4: 10:36pm On Nov 22, 2017 |
saucepan:1. Credit cards are mostly accepted for application fees payment. 2. Most schools will require you upload an unoffficial copy of your transcripts online and upon admission, the official ones would be requested. So read the instruction on your school's website for required documentation. They should guide you better. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by HiredGames(m): 11:17pm On Nov 22, 2017 |
saucepan: Naira Mastercards work fine...I've been using GTBank cards for applications fee payments as well. About the document submission after deadline, I'd say it depends on the school. Like Austinepee4 said, many schools accept unofficial copies of Transcript but some require official copies sent directly from your school. I know MUN and Dalhousie require hard copies of Transcript, even more annoying Dalhousie require you to send your hard copy CV to them at Nova Scotia. |

kcwitch: Cheapflights.com Or wakanow.com. Or try Etihad, Fly Emirates or Kenyan air. The are a bit reasonable. But you may not get a direct flight. |

Goodmorning Everyone, Please i was referred here by a friend after my visa denial. The only reason for the denial was insufficient funds with all boxes ticked. I have a January 2018 resumption and my school doesn’t have another start date till September. (Bs.c)Also i have all documents for reapplication. I have a sponsor with a company bank statement of 2.5Bn and current 89Mn balance. I intend to reapply by Monday. My sponsor is my Aunt and have all documents ready. Is it safe to reapply now against January admission(might not be realistic)as I’ve only heard rapid processing for PhD applicants. Guys please what is realistic that I have left out, I’ll appreciate more suggestions and response from the informative and helpful people of this forum. Please pardon my approach and render possible help. Thanks and God bless. |

If there's anything I have learnt from this thread, it's that "Sufficient Fund" is one of the easiest visa denial conditions to be avoided. Pay your One year Tuition, open a dorm account and have your sponsor send a minimum of $10,000CAD for living expenses. Quite simple to plan out in my opinion. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Nobody: 8:35am On Nov 23, 2017 |
Rogola: Well this is what I did. 1. Paid a year tuition fee 2. Opened a dorm account and transferred funds of more than 10k dollars for living expenses. 3. Wrote a letter of explanation to show any changes made to my new application 4. My sponsor explained any lump sum of money in her account in a detailed sponsorship letter 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 11:04am On Nov 23, 2017 |
Alantobie: Pay one year tuition and transfer $10k to dormiciliary account. The $10k living expenses is only a recommendation by CIC, sometimes living expenses exceeds $10k, in that case be prepared to have the equivalent of your one year living expenses in your dormiciliary account if you are a sponsored student. Have statement of account (SOA) from sponsor showing enough to cover for the duration of your entire studies. If you do this, you would have presented an entirely bulletproof application, at least financially. |

jnyuwa02: Hi, Hows everything? i took your advise and am applying to those schools you told me to ( TRU, UNBC, MUN). If possible i will add two others for fear of refusal so that at least one or two will click. But the headache with this masters application is that they say i need to get potential supervisors as it is a research program (dont even know what to say to them), i attached a draft of the statement of purpose i have done even though i know am a long way away (lol), also my resume. In all these schools, i am applying to Environmental Science/ Studies. Please when you have the time help me look through and help with any adjustments or what you think i need to add or focus on. I have a twin brother in Ontario (which would have been perfect so i dont think of accomodation but seems schools there are more difficult). With my Industrial Chemistry background, i doubt there is any other program i can apply to that wont require a potential supervisor as part of admission requirement. Many thanks in anticipation of your assistance, God bless you. |

Please can someone answer this question..... Why don't VO gives visa to PGD or PGC. If they know there is no way, it should just be stated instead of making someone waste time.. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 12:39pm On Nov 23, 2017 |
SimmsK: Alarm: please edit and remove your statement of purpose here to prevent plagiarism. To obtain a supervisor, first send a friendly email introducing yourself as a student from Nigeria and talk about very briefly your interest and why the professor would be a good fit. Ask for permission to email your research proposal or statement of intent, resume and transcript. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by saucepan: 12:44pm On Nov 23, 2017 |
SimmsK: It is advisable to write a brief friendly introductory letter to a potential supervisor who you have confirmed that has similar research interests that you do. Explain that you have met the basic requirement. Talk very briefly on your research stating the need for this research and how you think he fits. Finally enquire if he is accepting graduate students and if so if he can get in touch with you. He will most likely reply asking for research proposal, and perhaps a CV. Your research proposal should not be above 5 pages if possible. Let your passion for your chosen research field show genuinely. 1 Like |
