You don't know anything about precolonial Igbo land. Assuming you know you wouldn't have written the above nonsense.

Before the whites arrived Igbo land we had what we call Eze Obodo/Eze Ani who were the custodians of the culture and traditions but they held little to no political power, just the might to enforce traditions.

Before the white men some of the popular kings in Igbo land were EZE NRI, OBI OF ONITSHA, EZE ARO, EZE IWEKA, IGWE ORIZU etc.

Beyond the traditional stool we have Nze na Ozo and Ndichie who deliberated on matter bothering the town. We didn't not operate monarchy system like Bini and others because of our Republican nature. We believe in the theory of onye fee Eze and Nwata kwochaa meaning we can all be kinds in our own right.

In Anambra we have the Nze na Ozo noble society which any rich and forthright man can join after rites. Our title men have a personal chamber called Obi/Obu/ Iba where the title man receives visitors. A title man doesn't live in nkpuke, the female quarters.

Igbos have very beautiful culture that is also marketable. We have some of the most beautiful traditions in Africa and I am being honest. That's why people love nollywood, its the Igbo culture . Igbo culture has brought fame to Nigeria. Igbo is a very wealthy and powerful tribe and our influence is just starting to gain ground after the brutal war that has held us behind while every tribe excelled.

Your hate is full of hate.
No be for here, this your story go sell well well for Aba.
You had no kings, all you had was village title holders back in the days.

Before 1914, there was no king in the whole of eastern Nigeria. It was a republican setting with the ofalla or ogbuefi title holders, given to men who made wealth and are respected, these men were leaders of council of elders but NOT KINGS.... NEW Igbo Kingdoms were created there to experiment indirect rule of the British colonialists using traditional rulers to collect taxes, it worked in the north and west because they had functioning kings, but it failed in the east because the new “emergency Kings” had no traditional powers or cultural backbone to effect taxation, that was one of the reasons they had the Aba women riot of 1929, go read your history... today, Igbos, are using nollywood to propagate falsehoods of an igwe and his ancestors that never existed before 1914 grin

Empire doesn't mean civilization....

In real sense, what ever empire the yorubas had was under the Benin empire....

In the ancient map of Africa, there was karnem Bornu, Benin and Biafra, where was Oyo or Ife.

There was even Dahomey on the map....
lol under which Benin kingdom? even the Benin people will never claim to have conquered yorubas at any point in time!!!

this is a map from 1625 with Oyo empire and your Biafra I'd missinggrin no matter how hard you clowns try you can't change history. I'm here to kill all your lies.

I also attached another map for you and ibo people are still missing.

BTW get books and read. there is no greater sign of civilisation than empires!!!! the US still has an empire

Obi of onitsha is classy and not that agbero that call himself Oba of lagoon .
While some dumbos say he is the richest, others say he is the most educated which are all barefaced lies but yours was the Dumbest of all. Does an Ambassadorial visit and an El rufai's genuflecting equates being a first class monarch?

Edo folks on this forum better open their eyes and understand that we are no longer in the stone age when kings would just sit in their palaces and expect people to be paying them homage. This is 21st century.

When someone attends your coronation, is it proper to visit him/her to say "thank you"?

Look throughout the map, I can see Benin and biafra, find Oyo or Ife and tell me where they are....proofing the fact that Yoruba's were under the Benin empire down to Dahomey, of which Lagos was a slave camp...that is why it is called Eko..meaning slave quarters or slave camp.

While Biafra was a loose federation of republican people, who lived freely and traded peacefully among themselves and also intermarried themselves...we didnt need to invade each other to create an empire...we were just blessed and contented

You are just ranting like a Mad dog, stop been sentimental about this because you are Igbo, it is a known fact that Obateru(Obat Oil) is the richest Monarch in Nigeria if not Africa, stop arguing with fact it's not because am Yoruba that's why am supporting him,it is just the fact of life.

Likewise I can't argue Pre independence Ojukwu's father was the richest man in Nigeria after the death of Alhaji Danttata. It is a known fact no point arguing that.

Ojukwu's father was not the richest in Nigeria pre-independence or at any other time.

So, because one of biggest movie was done by a Yoruba all of a sudden you dominate the industry ?

Listen, the Igbos created the industry and control all aspect of it till today. From scratch the Igbos developed an industry that is worth over a billion dollars. Without the Igbos no wedding party....deal with that since you want to reason like a senseless person.

Yoruba had fought very hard to claim the invention of Nollywood but it all ends online...lol

bight of Biafra. Biafra was never an empire. the only time the name was adopted for a place was during the civil war. it's funny how you keep saying Benin and Dahomey conquered Yorubas when they are not laying claim to such. no matter how many times you say it lies will always be lies. still waiting for our Biafra empire claims

How can Obi of Onitsha be the richest, have you heard of Obateru Akinruntan(Obat Oil), the Olugbo of Ugbo in ilaje town in Ondo state, he has the largest Petroleum tank farm in Africa.

Better learn and do research before making stupid claims.

First of all Obi of Onitsha is not even a First Class king.
Secondly, I don't think he is richer than Ooni of Ife and Oba of Benin. Ooni of Ife is one of the biggest real estate player in the country.

Many Monarch in the Oil producing communities like Obateru are way richer

No mind that dude. may be because the Obi was a director in Shell made richer than others.

Ibos use porn to get audience and sell their movies.

You can tell from the way their women dress, they reveal cleavage and skin even. In scenes that require modesty, they portray lewdness. Go and review all entertainment magazines and paparazzi photoshoots for past fifteen years and see what im talking about Ibo women. They use their body to become famous and in circuit. Anytime you hear a nollywood actress posed nude 9 out ten its Ibo.

If you doubt me go and review photoshoots of actors and actresses for past fifteen years. They use toto gain fame and fans.

Yoruba started copying but thank God our elders got involved and admonished them.

We didnt build an empire and we also didn't to make metal works which was metarllugically more advanced than that of Europeans as at that time....Igbo ukwu still remain the oldest metal work in Nigeria...older than any Yoruba civilization.

We didnt need an empire to build houses and art works

We farmed, produced our tools, fed ourselves and community, had our culture and way of life....we didnt need an empire to do that....
