Jesus prayed that Christians be one. What was wrong with 4 square church that sent him there. Can't he still preach the so called salvation message under 4 square church that sent him there. Is it only when he opens his own church that his message can save souls.
Why did the founder of four square opened the church? Cus there where churches before four square!

did you read what Paul wrote about circumcision when people like you in the early church wanted to make it a requirement in Christianity

Galatians 5:2-12

Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? 8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. 9 “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” 10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. 11 Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished. 12 As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves

They are "known frauds" in the UK and they have not been arrested and prosecuted even with the stringent laws in the UK that does not favour anybody with connections as may obtain in Nigeria? If UK could arrest and jail a Nigerian "untouchable" like James Ibori, then what has stopped them from arresting a "known fraud" like Ashimolowo? O boy just park one side there with your baseless and dumb accusations. It is simpletons and sheeple like you who don't even study the bible for themselves that idiots like freeze will deceive, not me! where in the bible did the apostles practise this form of tithing?
They practised a system above tithing, giving their all (Acts 2vs44-45, 4vs34-37). Do you want to try that?

People voluntarily sold some of their properties and brought the money to church. They were not forced to sell those properties. It was voluntary. Not everyone sold properties. The pastors should focus on voluntary donations. There is no law under Christianity requiring anyone to pay tithes

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved

Acts 4:34-37New International Version (NIV)

34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.

36 Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”), 37 sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet

BTW where did the modern day pastors get the power to start demanding tithes from their congregation.Since the early church never practised it why should they be doing such?

Good point....To each as they are lead.

This is the story of how i started tithing. I just started serving then, allowee was roughly 10k. I was low on cash and pondering how i was going to get to the next pay day if i gave 1k out of the about 2k5 i had left. I had just gotten a job and so i had to pay transport to work, If not would have limited my movement. What i had would definitely not have been enough even if i did not pay the tithe.

And God said i should test Him. And so i did...saying if i get stranded, then i would have every justification never to do so again. Before that week ended, i was paid half month salary (because i had worked 2 weeks). This was a one man company and i was the only staff so its not like they had a structure on ground. Since then (over 10 years) my finances have never looked back.

About a year later when I wanted to leave the one man company, i told God that i wanted my current salary to be my tithe...and He did much more...My basic alone solved it minus other benefis.

In my case, it works for me. I dont believe anyone should be compelled to give or do it grudginly.

I never said its a requirement but rather it's choice, so also is tithing. Let's left for you to do according to ur choice

this issue of tithing is very simple
to be honest, daddy freeze is both right and wrong
tithing is biblical , and it is binding on all believers , as far as we accept the ten commandments then we should accept the tithing order , that is where daddy freeze got it wrong .
But daddy freeze is right about the lifestyle of pastors who actually receive these tithes , we all know God doesn't spend our money it is human being that spends the tithes money. the lifestyle of Nigeria pastors actually is a source of concern considering the fact that majority of Nigerians live below the poverty level . this is where daddy freeze got it right

circumcision carried out vtoday is purely for medical reasons and have nothing to do with religion.Pastors do not poreach that tithing is optional else we wont be having this argument. They say those who don't pay tithes are cursed.

I was at a redeem parish church service when the pastor became furious with people paying very low offerings.

“If you know your offering is 10 Naira, 20 Naira etc, I want you to come out now and pick it up”... (they had the offering basket at the front of the altar)

Immediately I left the church with another brother, and when outside we both expressed our grievances at what the church of God has turned into.

I also detest all the fake pastors who are always having dreams and visions about your life. I was born into a strong Christian family with born again parents, so I always wondered how come my parents don’t see any vision about anybody, but pastors are the only set of people who are privileged to this God’s repository of your life journey.

From what I’ve seen it looks like the pastors are preying on the vulnerable people living below low income, as they are ready to drop that last penny in the hope for a miracle of 30billion in da akant.

its not about the name change change. You can as well call it tithes provided it is voluntary.Furthermore people are not to be threatened with devourers or curses.Stop telling people God said you must pay 10% of anything and stop the criminal tithe cards as practised in most churches today
