Morocco will find it difficult with Portugal and Spain.
Morocco can beat Portugal if they're serious.

Croatia and Argentina suit our style of play. Iceland will be tricky if they adopt long ball tactics. That's where we will struggle. We will come tops. Nigeria and Croatia to go through.

yeah something tells me.....one of either Croatia or Iceland will beat Argentina....

Sure. It will take something special from Tunisia to usurp either of them
England just had it easy...this time...

It can easily be that kind of group were 3 teams finish with 6 points. Very tricky

I tell you man. Not happy with this draw at all...
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 5:15pm On Dec 01, 2017
Very similar teams, 3 of them, considering the dual nationality of some of the Moroccans
I don’t think we have an actual group of death. We just have a couple tricky situations.

We definitely need to defeat the two Euro teams if we hope to advance because, on their day, Croatia is capable of beating any team. To me, actually, this is actually the toughest group. Seriously, I wouldn't mind switching places with Morocco.

First match against Croatia would be very very important. 3 points pls

Spain may be the team not to go through. Stuffs happen.

A fair draw with Eagles in the Weak group D, just like the weak group F of 2014 WC.

We should top that group.

Go Super Eagles!

Denmark or Sweden (prepare us for Iceland)

Serbia or Spain (prepare us for Croatia)

Yup. Same here. Portugal is an aging team and totally overrated by FIFA ranking. I could've guaranteed, at a minimum, a second place finish if we were in any other group - including group B. We got the most tricky group but I wasn't surprised. I expected it ... especially, after the friendly against Argentina.

Same thing was said during the qualifiers, Algeria or Cameroon to go thru. What happened? Nigeria and Croatia to go thru.

I agree with you. Croatia is a better team than Portugal. They are by far more complete than Portugal.

Senegal, Egypt got good draws. Tunisia is the weakest African team and England and Belgium would be glad to have them of all the African countries.

Nigeria and Morocco, the best hope for the continent got drawn in the trickiest group.

Pretty optimistic about the chances of Nigeria anyways. For the first time in a long while, we believe again. And this is all due to the efficiency of the NFF this time around. I for one have a feeling Rohr'll build a formidable team for the world to watch.

Group of death for Argentina?

Chris Waddle

Ex-England winger for 5 live Sport

There's always going to be a group of death and reckon it's Argentina's Group D. They may not even get through.

Nigeria are underrated, Iceland have proved themselves over the last two of three years and Croatia - what a talent.

This morroco can beat Portugal but Spain I don't know.

Iran isn't soft either, very defensive and good with counter attack.

I have mixed feelings. Croatia are actually good enough to be in pot 1. Argentina with Messi (if he feels like it) can beat almost any team. I just have a feeling we got drawn with two pot 1 teams.

But hey, I trust the Eagles to be up for it. I also believe the other three are cursing their luck as we speak grin

No one has ever noticed though, that Nigeria seems to have that competitive edge over European teams. They seem to find a good rhythm playing against them. My thoughts tho..

You must be joking bro. Croatia is the most dangerous team in that Group.

Nigeria tops the group
Croatia comes second.
