Chelsea @oki_peter_ #WorldCupDraw Dear FIFA, This is to remind you that Nigeria Super Eagles have only two matches to play because we had already played and beat Argentina 4-2 in Krasnodar, Russia. Therefore, we have only Iceland and Croatia matches left. Thanks for your understanding. 4 Likes 1 Share |

(under 23) is more ranked than many leagues in the world.... so nacho and musa playing there shouldn't be a problem to him.... 5 Likes |

Eseose9:Since. And its something I don't understand. When we defeated Argentina, we talked about it oooo but he just skimmed over it like nada. I was surprised and then today again when every football fan whose team are WC bound are talking about the draws, talking opposition strengths and weaknesses, chances for qualification to the next round etc he's going on and on with Kc matter. 1 Like |

My proposed friendlies Sweden, very organised, similar to what you'd expect from Iceland. We saw it against Italy. Serbia, similar type of football to croatia. Uruguay, another south American test for Argentina. 1 Like |

Ezenwa has got his fair share of games in the green white green. It's time to give other home based goalkeepers a chance in this coming Chan to see the stuff they are made of. |

Rohr: First Game Vs Croatia Crucial; Eagles Will Make Nigerians Happy December 1, 2017 7:20 pm By Kayode Ogundare in Moscow: Technical Adiviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has run the rule over Nigeria’s Group D opponents at next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia and revealed that the team will have a good start to the competition if they get a favourable result against Croatia in the opening match on June 16, 2018, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. Speaking moments after the draw were conducted at the Kremlin Palace here in Moscow on Friday, Rohr also said he is wary of ‘dark-horses’ Iceland and South American powerhouse Argentina but will pay special attention to the Europeans. “The first game (against Croatia) is the most important because you need to start well for your confidence,” Rohr said. “Croatia are better ranked than us by FIFA so we are supposed to be the weakest team in the group. If we win the first game, it will help us against Iceland in the second game because we will not be under pressure.” The German also called for quick and efficient planning and preparation as the Super Eagles will be playing their three games in different parts of the Russian Federation which are very far from each other. He said: “Our first game is in Kaliningrad which is in the western part of the country. Then we travel to Volgograd in Central Russia to face Iceland before goint to St Petersburg for the final game against Argentina. All of these require planning and preparations.” Rorh was also full of praises for his young team which he said was getting better with each passing game. “We have a young team. We are getting better so we will be humble and continue to work hard in other to bring happiness to the Nigerian people,” he added. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I pray the money be well spended. Checkout the Whopping Amount of Dollars CAF is Paying Each African Rep for World Cup Posted by Odinaka on Fri 01st Dec, 2017 - tori.ng - source The whopping amount of dollars African teams including the Super Eagles of Nigeria will receive from CAF, has been revealed ahead of World Cup draws on Friday. At its last meeting held on 16 November 2017 in Rabat, Morocco, the CAF Executive Committee decided to set up an ad hoc committee chaired by the CAF 1st Vice President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, to map out a kind of support to be provided to African representatives to the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. The committee, which has CAF Executive Committee member Kalusha Bwalya and presidents of the Football Associations of the five qualified countries as members, met in Moscow, Russia, on the sidelines of the draw for the FIFA World Cup scheduled for 1 December 2017. At the meeting, it was decided that the body will grant a financial subsidy of $500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand dollars) to each of the five African teams. The financial package will be used mainly to strengthen and improve the technical supervision of each team. In addition, CAF will provide each African representative with “fieldwiz” equipment, a technological device and physical performance measuring tool for outdoor team sports players. 7 Likes |

Mujtahida: I have been waiting for that friendly for over 24 years. Please do not say that. In actual fact the Icelandic team play in a way that is similar to England. They are the unknown quantity and the one I am more weary about. Beatable yes but we must be very professional and planned. They do not have our pace or anything vyo match it with. But they play a very good cohesive team game that makes them dangerous. Do not forget Iceland beat England last year 2-1,we need to be well prepared because it's a game we must win and convincingly, because I suspect goals difference may be key. Croatia and Argentina we know and we have to be on the very top of our game at every level to contain and beat them. 4 Likes |

Troost-Ekong To Miss Konyaspor Clash On Sunday Bursaspor of Turkey defender, William Troost-Ekong is down with a muscle strain and has been ruled out of his club’s Turkish Super Lig clash against Konyaspor on Sunday. The centre-back who has been a regular member of the Bursaspor side this season sustained the injury during his club’s Turkish Cup clash against Adanaspor on Wednesday. He limped off the pitch in the 78th minute and was replaced by Ismail Konuk, but the Super Eagles star was immediately taken to hospital, where tests revealed the extent of damage in his right leg. A statement by Bursaspor read: “Based on the controls performed and the MR result, William Ekong was found to have muscle strength of 1st degree in the right posterior canal. “Ekong started treatment immediately with our health team and he will return for our Super League in our home clash against Fenerbahce on December 15.” The 24-year-old player, who linked up with Bursaspor from AA Gent of Belgium this summer, is however, taking the setback in his stride, as he thanked the fans for their support and is says he is looking toward returning to the pitch pretty soon. “Good win last night away in the cup. Thanks for the messages I will be back fit soon! #TexasliEkong ?? ,” Troost-Ekong wrote on his Twitter handle. Source: Football live |

cc: jihday Nothing irritates me in football analysis as someone arguing something that he does not know. First of all, Sylvain Wiltord played as a striker in games for Arsenal. It is clear you just browsed wiki and came to argue. Anyone who followed Arsenal back then will not debate this. Saying Kanu does not come close to Bergkamp is another baffling statement. Keeo in mind Kanu had a heart condition and could not get a fair run of games. However, when he played, his quality was not a doubt. Watch this clip and tell me Dennis Bergkamp could ever produce this kind of quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOGvmsanDAk Calling Nsofor average is another weak one. Nsofor was on fire when he had his run at West Ham. Certainly one of the best in the English Premier League during his run of games. It was terrible when he was unfairly dropped. A big case for the Nigerian factor point. For you to use the term average, shows you did not watch Nsofor at West Ham at all. Those who did knew how brilliant he was during the window of his run. For you to say Okocha, 18 games no goal for Hull, shows another misconception. Okocha played his role for Hull and he was vital. I even remember some assists he gave Fraizer Campbell, who I think was on loan from Manchester United. There are also pre-assists and also vital passes that create scoring opportunity to hinge your point on goals to value Okocha. 1 Like |

Not quite the hamstring injury I had in mind, but we will take the muscle strain...for a moment I thought this guy cannot just display one mortal flaw and mistakenly injure or something. Good to know he can at least have muscle strain that will keep him out of a game Next up, Ndidi and Shehu...make dem just collect all the injuries wey dem wan get before World Cup 1 Like |
