Fhemmmy: yes --- its a local restaurant. its not a new phenomenon ---- they serve all types of food. Amala plus ewedu, eba with ogbono, pounded yam with egusi soup, edikaikon, ewa agoiyin, fresh agege bread, rice with dodo ---- the list is endless. 1 Like |

Mama put don dey expensive for lagos ooo. i remeber somtime in may i decided to arrange mama put and told dem to give me rice =N=50 and i was shocked at the quantity i had to increase it to =N=150 and he meat sef was something else. =N= 20 meat was like chin chin, i had to buy =N=100 worth and since not really a fan or pure water i had to arrange a bottle of coke for =N=50 and then garnish it wth dodo =N=50 so in total i spent =N=350 BUT in all honesty the food no reach anywia at all. 1 Like |

@Poster it depends sha! If you are buying from a typical yoruba woman Mama put, it might be quite cheap( like in the range of 200-300 naira) when compared to an igbo woman mama put in Lagos, which am sure will be in the range of say 400-500 naira although sha da difference in quality will be clear. However, if it is very porpular mama put join like that overhyped Ola iya in Ojuelegba, might wanna remove em two 500 or 1000 naira notes cos what you eat there is not just food but hype and don JAZZy! 1 Like |

I remember this gbegiri and tuwo joint with cow leg at Bank Olemoh street in Surulere. Chei, that food sweet die. My advice for these cheapos looking for 20 Naira rice and beef stew and 5 Naira meat in Lagos, you are going to eat food that will kill you that same day. A word is enough for the wise, my brodas & sistas. Even a lot of those places will sell you fake pure water. 1 Like |

seems you guys a patronising restaurants. for any road side food will not be more the NGN200 Rice - 60 Beans - 20 Fish - 50 Plantain - 20 7up+Pure Water - 50 this is just my estimate for 2010. my trend from 1999 1999 - NGN20 2001 - NGN40 2005 - NGN50 2007 - NGN80 2008 - NGN120 1 Like |

These days, ther's no difference btwn mama put and Mr. Biggs oh! (In terms of prices). When I was in Lagos, I got food from a popular mama put (Ghana High) on Lagos Island for N300. And that's the cheapest, methinks. Rice - 200 3 slices of plantain - 50 One piece of beef - 50 But some of them can be expensive oh! Those women who sell behind a Coca-Cola depot on Lagos Island sell a piece of cow tail for as much as N500!! So if you wanna eat a "wholesome" mama put meal, it can get up to a thousand bucks! 1 Like |

''Mama put'' is all about choice and there is no specific amount that you can spend,it depends on your eating habit.eg fufu------#20 x 4 = 80 assorted meats = 200 pure water = 5 total = 285 you've got a variety of choice to make whenever yopu enter area.just show your swagger. |

lol, aiight depends on the location and how neat the place is, white house's the bomb like 400 sha but for a very tight meals you need to have like 600 but local mama put you'll probably need like 200 max, if you want to cut cost just buy bread and beans(bread 60 and beans 50 with fish 50) 150 and that will be in ur stomach for another 10 hrs. 1 Like |

i think 400-500 is a fair price for places like Ola iya(akerele) ghana high and the more popular places, except u wanna go into assorted meat and finks, can cost u up to a grand if its the local bus stop wayside locations, 150-200 is aight! 1 Like |
