Rohr’s Scout Agali Hints – Bologna Forward Orji Could Take Kayode Eagles Spot

Red hot Bologna forward Orji Okonkwo could be in line for a first time call up according to the head scout of the Super Eagles Victor Agali during a radio interview monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com in Lagos.
Okonkwo has scored three goals in the Serie A from seven substitute appearance for Bologna, and Agali confirmed he is no doubt in the picture of the Super Eagles ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

” Every player doing well will be called up when the team resume preparations for the World Cup next year, just as some players not doing well for their club could lose their spot”, Agali said.
Although he didn’t mention the names of players who are on the brink of losing their national team spot, he however failed to provide any assurances that on loan Manchester City forward Olarewaju Kayode will be given a look in.

Kayode has struggled for game time at Girona since joining them on loan from Manchester City, and the forward who is presently out injured has also not made good use of the chances he has been given by coach of the lipsrsealed Nigeria national team Gernot Rohr.

Kayode has never been on Rohr's plan. So, save us the lies he will lose his place.

Which place? Person wey never kick ball don dey lose place?

Kayode, if you like score 1 million goals, accept now that you don't have a place in current SE before u go develop heart attack once your name goes missing on the WC list. Why? Me I no know. grin na just ya faith be that.

Croatian Coach With Links To FCIU: Super Eagles Defense Weakest Link, Attack Very Dangerous

Croatian coach Zdravko Logarušić has provided the lowdown on the Nigerian national team ahead of their very important 2018 World Cup opener against Nigeria, and has written off the Super Eagles defense.
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr played with a four-man defense during the World Cup qualifiers, with Abdullahi Shehu, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and Elderson Echiejile his preferred formation.

In his own words, Logarušić claims he has been contacted by one of the richest men in Nigeria, Ifeanyi Ubah, to handle the Nnewi based club ahead of the new season.

''According to what I have observed with the Nigerian team, their defense is the weaker part of the team, but they are very, very dangerous in attack,'' Logarušić told sportske.jutarnji.hr.

''Also, they are exceptionally strong in dead ball situations, they are dominant in heading.

''The first match at the World Cup will be the best, because it will be full of motivation and confidence.

''If they do not get it, then they know they will fail so it is very uncomfortable to play with them first.

They have to be monitored well, have all the information they need.''

Nigeria and Croatia face off at the Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad on June 16, 2018.

Why are you guys always targeting forgiveness for God sake cos i don't see where Agali mentioned Kayode.

Pls the headline was misleading and not good for our discussion here and don't be surprised if you see Nwakaeme dropped for Orji.

My man anything can happened when it comes to player invitations or was it not the same Agali that said no more invitation for new players.

So because somebody will be offended by the headline it is not good for us to discuss it here? undecided

I had high hope on the guy after John Ogu hyped the guy saying that if em no score in their club , no party. I looked at his Statistics, he was indeed firing goals, em follow for the top scorers in their League sef . Nigga got me anticipating only to play like it was a street match.

To your question, why would I pick between the two when Onyekuru, Kayode and of recent potential "Orji Okonkwo is there?

We keep recycling the same argument.

I thought that after knowing our WC opponents our discussions and focus would shift in that line. But here we go again arguing over PRO and ANTI Martins.

We have said every on that Let's leave Rohr to do the needful.
The argument is a huge waste. Rohr will invite who he will invite. What if he doesn't invite Martins? What would the Pro Martins people do? What if he invites him? What would the anti Martins people do? Both will do nada!

The media hype was just too much and annoying, he and Ogu went from one radio station to the other to hype him up at the end of the day nothing.

I hope he makes a wise decision by staying, he will have a better playing time there now. He can move after the world cup.
It's better for him to stay. The time is not appropriate for him to move. Maybe he is deliberately stalling so that the club can give him a raise

The time not just appropriate at all, imagine leaving the club to go to a new club where he will chop bench.

If he stays, they will give him more playing time more than he was previously given.

Like I said sir, that's his style of coaching, he's more of a klopp/pep/mourinho (coaches that prefer players they can control), that's his philoshophy and I don't see him changing it for anything. He's been like that even from his playing days so you think he will just change all of a sudden? He's blunt, outspoken and likes to have his way and like I said, it's working for him.

Pep chased away some players when he took over Barcelona, did same in Man city, mourinho did same too.

Keshi was known for that too but talked less unlike oliseh, what he's doing is not peculiar as you have also noticed so let's just wish him the best and allow him grow in his own right.
junnyjake:

Of course, I respect what Oliseh is doing at his club and I'm proud of him. Yes, those coaches also have problems with their players, they go about it maturely.

This article is kinda long, pay attention to the bold.

I still believe he wasn't appointed to scout for players, rather to monitor our already known players and also spy on opponents.
komekn:

That's a huge contradiction, doesn't make any sense. The supposed chief scout saying no new players needed.

Then what on earth was he appointed for.

Ryan Sanusi declares for Nigeria dunno how true but "our" media outlets carried the story

BELGIAN WITH NIGERIA TO WORLD CUP? "BELGIUM DIFFICULT STORY"

Nigeria is keeping an eye on the situation of Cyriel Dessers, but there is another Belgian who does see what to do for Nigeria.

Ryan Sanusi plays for Sparta Rotterdam. "It's not something I'm really working on, but it would of course be great," acknowledges the cousin of Belgian international Moussa Dembélé to Het Algemeen Dagblad.

The Red Devils are far too ambitious. "After all, every player wants the highest possible, and higher than a World Cup you can not come as a football player, and the Belgian team will be a difficult story for me. But who knows, there is a chance for me to come out for Nigeria World Cup In Nigeria there are also a lot of good footballers, but it seems to me that I will get a chance there rather than in Belgium, although I do not really take it into account, I focus entirely on Sparta. "
