What was Ighalo's impact after two games in the WC qualifiers?

They all deserve to be given a chance if they remain inform prior to the WC.

good you've shifted the goal post a little.
mind you and your cling....Martins is not the most inform Nigeria player at the moment...
I read where one myopic mind already start to rate him as the super eagles current best striker.....

I tire o. If the guy were a midfielder or defender, I would have said yes let's try him. We have too many options in attack.
exactly, if there was any player whom Nigerians should eagerly want back, I think that should be Vincent enyeama because Nigeria really needs leadership at the back.

In team building, cohesion is very important.
Have you noticed response time of this current crop of players to invitation? Their behaviour on and off the pitch? Are we improving? Has the players you guys clamouring for shown any form of solidarity with this winning team? Are they passionate enough? What would've been their reaction to money NFF was owing them?

These current players were not paid match bonuses for Nigeria vs Algeria match until we were about to play Cameroon. Yet they reported to camp on time. That's passion.

Would you rather have a team of players that understand and play collectively or a team with talents with potential yet not achievement? You don't change a winning team anyhow. Yes we have a winning team. Martins and Enyeama have been divisive elements before and yes we are scared that they may yet be again. The records are there.
the reason why some people will never understand this life is that they think everything is a one way street.

All of them shouting performance, as if there is anything wrong with the team's performance. They think it is by gathering the best in each position and the team will be successful

That is the biggest lie anybody can ever peddle in a team sport. It is not about getting the best, it is about getting a group of good players who understand each other both on and off the pitch. This is not just the Super Eagles team of players, it is a BROTHERHOOD

The other day some people were here commending the way the players fought for each other against Algeria, when last did we have such in our team? If you check the statistics, you would find that we have had better players in key positions in the Super Eagles in previous times, but no matter how great they are, they were always hampered by one idiotic fight or the other. There were cabals and caucuses telling each person who to pass ball to on the field in a TEAM SPORT

That is what you get when there are too many captains on a ship.

This team is WORKING, they are not working because they are all top scorers or defenders in their clubs, they are not working because they all play in top clubs, they are working because they LOVE and UNDERSTAND each other. They work AS A TEAM on AND off the pitch.

And while individual brilliance will always be appreciated in Tennis or Badminton, the brilliance of an entire TEAM is more important than that in football.

I don't want a team that only Kelechi is carrying us, or only Mikel or only Martins, what happens when Martins switches off? We are finished then?

I like this team, I like their brotherhood and I love their chemistry.

So, to Komekn, forgiveness and their likes who can only see through one lense and are blind to the others, I hope you visit social media during an international break....you probably think you are too old to visit Twitter or Snapchat or IG, but find someone who visits those places and watch those boys and how they relate to each other because you are obviously clueless as to what a TEAM is really about

We missed 2006 world cup due to attitude of Okocha, Martins etc.
They were always reporting to camp late.
We lost to Angola because we paraded a depleted team.
a player's attitude does not matter.

Who cares if he's an arrogant, indisciplined soul as long as he is consistently scoring goals in every league there is?

Team Big Names should come and tell us if the Iceland team had better performing players than England when they booted them out of the Euros

Team Consistency should also tell us the top players in the Icelandic team that won a whole Croatia and sent them to play-offs in the WCQ

If none of those people who think football is by the league you play or your consistency in the league can explain how Iceland won those two TOP teams with TOP players, then they have no leg to stand on and should stand down.

Rohr’s Scout Agali Hints – Bologna Forward Orji Could Take Kayode Eagles Spot

Red hot Bologna forward Orji Okonkwo could be in line for a first time call up according to the head scout of the Super Eagles Victor Agali during a radio interview monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com in Lagos.
Okonkwo has scored three goals in the Serie A from seven substitute appearance for Bologna, and Agali confirmed he is no doubt in the picture of the Super Eagles ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

” Every player doing well will be called up when the team resume preparations for the World Cup next year, just as some players not doing well for their club could lose their spot”, Agali said.
Although he didn’t mention the names of players who are on the brink of losing their national team spot, he however failed to provide any assurances that on loan Manchester City forward Olarewaju Kayode will be given a look in.

Kayode has struggled for game time at Girona since joining them on loan from Manchester City, and the forward who is presently out injured has also not made good use of the chances he has been given by coach of the Nigeria national team Gernot Rohr.

some people self....
just since they made him a scout...
he has been running his mouth like tap....

it is not under his prerogative to tell who gonna be the 3rd chioce striker....but the coach...
I would have apprecaite rohr keep away from some of this Nigerians...whose major drive is monetary rewards....and not the desire for glory....

who knows if all those dubious agents have not start to approach him.....

best bet on top club performance?

No be so dem dey do bros. Akpeyi has been calamitous for us and can never be our best bet.

If you watch Uzoho' game now, you will also say he is our best bet after seeing his saves. After all, the SA league as far as I am concerned, is on the same level as Spain's third division

He doesn't need the team, so why the hell is anyone forcing him on a team that CLEARLY does not need him as well?

Lol.........
he first call this young players pretenders at some point...
pretenders scoring in their European club leagues weekly.........if the likes of Henry, yinka Dennis etc are pretenders so be it.....
better than one tired leg...in China playing wit Chinese players who can't even manage get their country to playoff spot in world cup qualifiers.....

I pick ighalo ahead of him even though they both play in China...ighalo is not just a striker good wit his legs but his head as well.....and @world a striker need both to excel.

yeah...you're right.
enyeama on his own personality has pride...and kind of stubborn..
though he is a great guy and a very good goal keeper.....

I think he should let go of the past and as well just give the coach and Nigerians...this last respect......he don't need the nff to talk to him to rescind his Decision....

Nigerian Journalists are promoting their players. Just read an article about a South African based player. The headline was ,

"Must ____ break his leg before he is invited to the Super Eagle"

Expect to see more ridiculousness as WC approaches..
Searched for the news after reading this comment and noticed how the journalist quoted just two people;the player and his agent. It is clearly a media campaign.
