Mujtahida: It was a bad pass by Kelechi. Ndidi recovered the ball, passed to Kelechi who laid it for Iwobi. Ndidi is a tackling machine. If he keeps up the pace and plays to his potential at the World cup, i see him joining a major club. |

goldfish80: Nsofor has managed to find his best form in recent weeks hitting the back of the net five times in his last three games. The highpoint for Nsofor arrived in the FA victory over Nottingham Forest where he netted a hat-trick coupled with his trademark somersaults and back flips. And Grant has no issues with Nsofor’s mode of celebrating his goals and hopes he gets to grab more goals. “I don’t have a problem with his somersaults,” Grant said ahead of Sunday’s loss to Birmingham. “I hope he will have a lot of reasons to do them again this season. “It took him time to adjust this season because he didn’t play much in Italy, but he is playing well now.” http://nigeriang.com/sports/nsofors-future-depends-on-west-hams-survival/7408/ As I said, it is easy to reach stats and argue. Which is far different from those who were watching it and debating what they saw. |

TheGoodJoe: lololol. 3 goals and 1 assist in 25 appearances with one Red card is a very poor stat anywhere for someone who is firing on all cylinders. So what exactly does he do, people he passes to dont score and he too does not score, is he then a defender. If iremember nsofors game then, he shoots a lot with very poor accuracy 2 Likes |

I believe many others here too....are not ibos as well.... you can't expect every sane individual to join in you bandwagon to honor and lick the toes of this players....who have chosen to play for England...... 6 Likes 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe: You obviously didn't read what you pasted. In the last paragraph, the coach mentioned how he struggled to fit in when he first arrived. Scoring a hattrick against league 1 Nottingham Forest. On a good day, even you can do a hattrick against that team. His record in the league still reads..... 3 goals, zero assists, 25 appearances. |

forgiveness: Seem some Dudes have Problem with the Name "Dele"...... Lol. I remembered when TheGoodJoe was asking for Alampasu to be the first Choice Goalie based on the convincing Training Sessions' Reports, some Dudes claimed he's inexperienced and too young. They are quick to forget he was a former Winner of an U17 Golden Glove, the same Competition that brought Iheanacho into Limelight. But now..... Uzoho ain't too young or inexperienced to man the Posts for the Super Eagles in Russia. Dele Aiyenugba is far better than Akpeyi, more exposed and experienced than him, but once his Name "Dele" is mentioned, nah..... he's a Flop, he had got his Chances but failed. In the local League - NPFL - Ajiboye is far better than Ezenwa, a very good, talented Goalkeeper brimming with Confidence, but he also gets "Dele" in his Name, hence only a very few care for his Call up and Trial. You've really got a thick Skin Bro. Coz you've withered many Storms here alone..... Lol! Enyeama should be recalled, but Martins is too old for a Recall. Someone even claimed Ighalo is performing better than him in the Chinese League. I laughed at a Post that condemned Martins of only good with one Leg and ain't good in the Air like Ighalo. Had Mikel and Ighalo ain't plying their respective Trades in the Chinese League, they would have gone "berserk" on his professional Careers. When Kayode didn't make the Bench, you were called out to mock, thanks to Tbaba1234 that eventually posted a cogent Reason for his Exclusion. However when Iheanacho also didn't make the Bench..... Alas! It's tagged Politics and Racism. Ahmed Musa was demoted to the U23, some are already considering he should be dropped from the List coz he has lost it. Iheanacho is dropped, the Tone changes to; at least he won't be match rusty coz he would be playing and it's good for him. What will you call it bro?! Lol. I rest my Fingers. 8 Likes |

goldfish80:Nsofor won West Ham's player of the month award after his brilliant form helped the club win some important games. He capped his brilliant performance against the English Champions Manchester United were Nsofor had a hand in all four goals that led to the 4-0 decimation of Manchester United. Four days before that game, he scored in the game West Ham beat Wigan Athletic 3-1. It is not just to read stats and argue with those who watched and saw the impact of Nsofor's brilliance. |

goldfish80: “West Ham is too big to play in the lower league. I want to apologise to the fans because they don’t deserve a championship treatment. It is still like a bad dream,” Nsofor said. According to the Super Eagles forward who was loaned from Malaga, the club forfeited its top status as a result of several factors on and off the field. “Too many things went wrong, from the board, to the coaches and the players. We had a good team but our coaching crew did not know how to use the type of players at its disposal. The coaches were just incapable”. He said that Grant decided to limit his role after he came back from the month long injury he got in the 1-0 loss at Birmingham and gave more time to other players. "I trained hard after I came back from the injury but the coach and his back room staff felt I was not good to start. It is quite frustrating. The fans thought I should be playing, but it is the manager who decides and you can’t challenge him on that count,” Nsofor said. http://westhamfreeforum.com/nsofor-blames-grant-for-west-ham-s-relegation-t1544.html |

The way some of us take this issue of "who is called/who is kept" in the team very personal like our opinion here would influence who Rohr keeps in his team baffles me . He is not even a Nigerian to begin with, there is no way he will select his players from ethnic prism. This super Eagles that is giving us small joy, you guys are hell bent on spoiling it with What has spoiled every other system in this country. 2 Likes |

mazimee: Fear you say..... when Dudes can't argue with Facts but Sentiments. Modric - a regular at Real Madrid. Rakitic - a regular at Barcelona, Kovacic, another Madrid Player, guess what?; their midfield Combo is viewed inferior to Ndidi, Onazi, Mikel Combo on this Thread. I'm ain't saying we shouldn't aim higher or have Confidence in the Team, but we should be fair and factual with our Submissions, cos there are Monikers that are viewing to learn from the Thread. |

mazimee: Nice Observation Bro. We get too emotional when certain Names are mentioned. We ain't part of the Board and can't influence the Decisions of the Technical Crew, hence I see no Reason we should be attacking each other. We ought to be catching Funs here, also getting to know more about the Nigerian' Players plying their Trades locally or outside the County, but gradually some Dudes are toeing the Path you fear most. We can't always be on the same Page, if I reel out Names you do not fancy or like, don't condemn it rather ask Questions, perhaps you might be convinced and learned one or two new things. It's not late to bring Sanity back to the Thread. We simply need to be fair and respect Everyone's Opinion. 1 Like |

Mujtahida:The best games that Ndidi have played for Nigeria so far are games that he partnered with Ogu. Against Senegal, he was almost unseen until Ogu came on and his performance rose and he won the man of the match award. Although I didn't watch the match against Algeria, but from the highlight I watched and player ratings, he was solid. We can also say he did very well to against Argentina playing alongside Ogu. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by CityJoe: 7:53am On Dec 08, 2017 |
Oasis007: I do not remember people saying the midfield of the Super Eagles is better than that of the Croatians. What I saw pointed out was that there are weaknesses in the midfield we can exploit. For instance, they do not have a natural defensive midfielder and also Rakitic and Modric are limited in speed. Which means our counterattacks can cause them problems. I think this is a fair and balanced analysis. Not blind patriotism. 5 Likes |
