Pep Guardiola Pleased With Nigerian Defender : Everyone Saw He's A Talented Player Published: December 07, 2017 Pep Guardiola Pleased With Nigerian Defender : Everyone Saw He's A Talented Player Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola was pleased with the contribution of Manchester-born Nigerian defender Tosin Adarabioyo despite his side losing 2-1 to FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night. The promising central defender started on the right side of a three-man central defense and was impressive in a full shift, in what was only his sixth competitive game for the first-team of the Citizens. ''But we fought, and I’m so pleased for Tosin, Brahim and Phil for how well they played in the Champions League against a really good team in Shakhtar Donetsk,'' Guardiola told mancity.com ''They are resilient and talented players and the people saw it. We came here to win, we couldn’t, but we were there until the end to trying to do so. ''We were helped by Fernandinho in our build up because Tosin and Mangala have other qualities from that and we created good spaces outside because they defend really well. I’m pleased and happy for the performance.'' The 20-year-old Adarabioyo has been on the books of Manchester City for fifteen years. Oasis007: They have made their opinions which from my research, seems balanced. If you disagree, you can research your opinion and counter the points. Not just say it is sentiments. Based on speed, I did my research. Ndidi and Onazi, seem faster than Modric and Rakitic. However, Kovacic is faster than both of our players. Mikel Obi is limited with respect to speed, which makes me tilt towards the Croatians. However, when you consider the pace of the likes of Simon Moses, Victor Moses, Nwakaeme, Iwobi to some extent and Iheanacho. We can cause them problems with repeated counterattacks. So I feel the analysis is balanced. |

forgiveness: Tosin was exposed repeatedly in the first half but in the second half, he was outstanding. However, I did not bother talking about his brilliant display because I do not see him as one of ours. However, Tosin Adarabioyo has a bright future ahead of him. |

mazimee:Hmmm you are right my brother but what can we do,nothing,is a free forum where i and you are entitled to our opinions but if it's based on objectivity better for us. I don't want to say anything on tribal stuff cos is a fire and when it start nobody will have the power to quench it.Please go to political thread a very objective moniker would run away from the thread cos you see hatred all over. It's better not to allow such here or else the thread would lose it all.A lot peep here to be updated on what is going on especially on Eagles meaning we should stop takes things personal. I remember sometimes ago how some guys gatecrashed this thread and make it unbearable for all.It was terrible for some days here to the extent some monikers who cannot bear it left the thread until normally returned. My man i believe allegation of tribalism should stopped cos for someone to identify a moniker as ethnic championing such accuser too must be real tribal man. So let us stop labelling anyone tribal,we are free to mention any players we like irrespective of the region,it's opinion.I don't think it should be an issue mentioning five good players from Edo state which i believe should be in eagles. We should have it in mind that we are here to share love not hate. 4 Likes |

CityJoe: That's good. Can you share your Research here pls, let others learn from it bro. I think we should try to analyze the Croatia Team, compare their present Players with ours, then we can come out with valid Points. Let's start the comparison from the Goalkeeping Department, to the Defenders, Midfielders and finally Strikers. Let's everyone learns what we are up against, and what we should be expecting from the Croats in Russia. |

Oasis007:Obviously, you and this guy have an agenda. Wanting to make it look like a tribal stuff and it is sickening. Lot of individuals on this thread has stated that barring any injury, Musa is certain to make Russia. Sincerely, I feel they have all been nice with their comment... Because if na me, Flop or no Flop, Kayode, and all the Dele you listed and Martins ain't making the final least. Whether they belong to one group is non of my business. I also Remembered how sir TheGoodJoe advocated for Alampasu to start ahead of Akpeyi. I had towed that line of thought to but let's stop acting like he wasn't given a chance. Na for friendly too we see Uzoho. 4 Likes |

Humility017:Humility17 you are a respected moniker here, pls you don't need it cos tribal accusations will turn this thread to a war zone that would not be comfortable for us all,so let continue with our football talk in a mature way. Ethnic championings or accusers can carry on just ignored and move on.It's apparent some don't want to hear Igbo or Yoruba name but football is pure talent game not federal character schemes where the best are sacrificed for mediocre. 5 Likes |

Oasis007: Most times I want to compare players, I just use fifa 18 stats. You can Google the player with fifa 18 and read their stats. Like Vedran Corluka who is one of the key players of Croatia. You can see the FIFA 18 team put his sprint speed at 65 and Acceleration at 49. Overall pace at 58. However, his defending including his marking, heading, slide tackle etc are high. http://www.futhead.com/18/players/7651/vedran-corluka/ It makes an easy study of players for me. You can check others by Google search Player name + FIFA 18 or FIFA 17. |

Pls Kayode, Martin and Deles are Nigerians and are eligible to make WC team if Rohr said so,nothing anybody can do about it.And if Rohr said my 23 man list are Igbos or South south, pls what can we do. Honestly no shortcut to football cos it is an open game and biased coach always paid dearly for it. This thread is too damn good to be divided on ethnicity line. 3 Likes |

I am a barca fan and to be sincere; Rakitic is quite slow o and he displaces passes a lot this season. Even his all round play has been quite horrible. Simply put rakitic is declining, same thing with modric; Even though modric is still a baller . I have zero fear for the Croats we go match dem well, in fact we are actually better than them forget fifa ranking and say they are europeans. We should be wary of perisic sha that guy is quite good but we go still pocket am because our defenders are young, strong and have alot of potentials unlike the Croats defence that is weak. infact our forward and midfield is better Nigerians too dey fear Let's be optimistic and believe in our squad, be cos am dann sure Croatian fans believe in their squad and feel they will win us; so there's nothing wrong in us having same Confidence that we will also beat them 6 Likes 1 Share |

Kog45: I get your Point Bro. There were Times I bookmarked the tribal Posts made by some popular Monikers on the Politics Section and waiting for a moment to drop it here, but I had to rethink and deleted the Bookmarks. There are no Saints here, and it's better we drop accusing some Monikers of being tribal on this Thread. We can discuss the Eagles, we can catch fun and we can learn. I remember the Day we won U17 World Cup, there was undiluted Euphoria on that Thread to the extent that Contacts were shared and Icon4s dropped his Pic, with Face covered though. LOL! 4 Likes |

Oasis007: He was one of the best players in the Super Cup this season. Unfortunately, not long after that, he injured. That was why he was not playing. When once he returns, he will be back to the team. At the end of last season, he had the best dribbling stats in the La Liga. Croatia will not leave him out. |
