Yes it would be great if he missed the world cup. He will have another 4 years to think about his international future, that's IF he will have a choice.
grin

Tammy is a very good player, it's just that the draught season has come for him.

goldfish80:
I can see the hype about Tammy Abraham have ceased and reality have set in. I've always maintained that guy was an average man.
Statistically, Swansea managed just 4shots on target in the month of November when he lead their attack. The team have become much more dangerous going forward since Wilfred Bony have been reinstalled in the attack.
On the back of this form, he won't make the English D-team if there was one.

Nigga thought he was doing us, by the time Swansea get relegated he will return to his favorite Championship where he can break his own record again, since that is his level.

Where is that Mr. Ibu's "You See Your Life?" meme when I need it? grin

We will start talking when you make Lille's first team and show that you are back in form.
I'm sure Rohr will not be making another approach. There is nothing more to be said. Just say you are ready to return, else keep doing your thing. We can do without you anyway.

Welcome again Uzoho!

Enyeama Could Beat Rufai's World Cup Record, Saves Penalty On Return From Injury

Former Nigeria international Vincent Enyeama played his first game in over seven months as the reserve team of Lille beat Croix Football IC 3-1 in the Championnat National 2 Group C, equivalent of fourth-tier.
Prior to stepping out onto the Complexe Sportif de Luchin (Camphin-en-Pévèle) turf on Saturday evening, the 35-year-old last figured for Lille at any level on April 15, 2017 when the first team lost 2-0 to Rennes in Ligue 1.
Having returned to full fitness, Enyeama agreed to play against Croix Football IC and was impressive, and the highlight of his performance was saving a penalty kick.
Enyeama expressed his pleasure at returning to action, posting on social media : ''God has been so faithful.7 months and some weeks, God has taken me up. I had my 1st game.
''I want to thank everyone that worked for this day to happen. God bless you all.''
Enyeama will become Nigeria's oldest player to feature at the World Cup if he rescinds his decision to quit the national team and is selected for the mundial by Gernot Rohr.
Legendary goalkeeper Peter Rufai is the oldest Nigerian to feature at the World Cup, at the age of 34 years, 10 months and 4 days.

I don't even like the fact that people are clamouring for the young man to move, he's not even spent half a season. truth is he's no messi and he met people in the team when he joined and they aren't doing badly. I think he should stay and fight for his shirt, his time will definitely come, verdy is above 30 which means he has limited time. the only advice I'll give nacho is to grab the opportunity with both hands any time he's being called upon to play, like Martial, lingard and rashford are doing at United, make it hard for the coach to drop you

Wise words and good advice.

Jumping ship does not mean you will land on sand.

Three managers have found him wanting in terms of performance. Pep, Shakespeare and now Puel. You can no longer ignore what's becoming obvious three managers have found KC wanting.

He very rapidly needs to up his game.

lol, after Chelsea must have loaned him to about 5 epl relegation threatened clubs and 25 lower league clubs and release him on a free, he'll now start begging Nigeria that he wants to play, some people here will now start soliciting for him and telling us how he's the best thing that can happen to us since rashidi yekini. mtcheew

My goodness see bad belle.

What has brought about this unrestrained hate speech and wishing him downfall.

Shittu ke? Shittu was never one of our best defenders. I even prefer Omeruo at his best to Shittu's best. Nobi by muscle.

Omeruo isn't that bad (at his best), and he's gradually getting back to his best.

In my personal opinion and that opinion was fortified from talking to players who played along side him.

I remember Shittu when we played Ghana in the AFCON he was outstanding. For such a big guy he could run so fast. Outside of Yobo and Taribo of that Era I can not think of any better CB.

Omeruo best is simply not good enough for a team that has ambitions of progressing in the World Cup 2018. We truly definitely need better in order to progress. However, if that's the best we have then we will have to accept it.

Now today guess what? He scored against his former club grin
And they 're sitting 4th in their table.. cheesy

He's a big asset for Super eagles.. We still need him... I believe he can make 30 man list ..hes a utility player too..

The same anywhere belle face Danny shittu? I can't forget our game against Ghana in Ghana. He kept parachutting all the balls that came his way. BTW, where is shittu now?

I rate defenders based on how they handle attackers or balls that come their way. Any defender that is only good at bashooking balls into the thin air, corner, throwins or to his opponent's halve isn't a good player IMO.

I have what I use in rating defenders and to me, Danny shittu at his best is not as good as Kenneth Omeruo at his best.

I remember that game when the SE broke from a corner the speed at which Shittu got to the Ghana 18 in open space with no one to beat but Odemwingie failed to square the ball to him.

I don't want to quote players verbatim but in that team they classed him as the best CB, his professionalism second to none.

He had serious contract issues with his club and could not honour more SE invitations as a result. Apart from that a down to earth, humble and straight forward dude.

Danny Shittu is a very good defender. Very determined too.

He was one of Nigeria's better players in 2010. Better than Yobo.

He was already old by 2010 so he should be retired.

In 2010/11 voted the best CB in the championship.

He was only 29 he wasn't that old, if he had decided to have a football age he would have been 25 or younger.

Even this whole idea of young in the Nigerian context is in reality irrelevant, we all know our issues with age in Nigeria. But that's another can of worms we do not need to open at this point.

Komekn sometimes you baffle me why can't you defend your own player without bringing someone else into it to downgrade. Omeruo that you mention during that period was our best defender. He did well during the nations cup and also stood out in the world cup. You make it sound as if kenneth was undeserving of his national team place which is far from the truth. I'm not saying he's a world class performer but he has paid his dues in the super eagles. Anyways since he has lost his place in the starting 11 as a result of poor form I think mentioning his name is mute. Dominic on the other hand must improve the man of the match performance you keep mentioning was 3 or 4 years ago he needs to step up his game before he can be called up to the national team

Firstly, do not know what you mean by your player.

Secondly, Dominic was a regular for England U21 and has been playing consistently and continously in the championship for near 4 years.

Omeruo has not been exceptional or outstanding for the SE. There just it seems to be a lack of quality top level CB's available to us at this time in the SE. I can not explain why.

In other areas we have quality in some regards top quality. But for me our CB's are not on the same level of quality as our forwards or midfielders.

The team needs quality in all areas.

we sef and tagging.
The real questions is how many German-Nigerians have we courted in comparison to Anglo-Nigerians?
We also need to consider other factors. The timing of our approach. Let us approach all those Anglo-Nigerians in league one and the Championship and you will see a shift. But I wouldn't support that.
