Lol. If u have been following me u would know I’m very comfortable with Uzoho as our number 1. I’m not sentimental like that. What’s Idah stake in the matter? Announcing that Enyeama told him this and that. He should just have said Enyeama told me to put it out there. Rohr clearly gave Enyema conditions. And so be it. Modified There are some kind of people that will find ur mouth and use it to hurt you. Idah seems to be that kind of person, unless he comes out to say Enyeama told him to put it out there. safarigirl: |

Joebie: Peterside said on the radio which I listened to on Lagos talks that the conversation he had with Enyeama was actually after that Oliseh incident occurred, so this report isn't recent but around last year. 4 Likes |

Thanks for clearing the air, because it totally makes no sense that Idah will be making such comments after Rohr’s talks with Enyeama directly. Magink: 2 Likes |

kennysville:I watched the interview he had on channels and I watched that of Oliseh. The analysts on channels said both of them are to blame. My position based on what I watched is that none of them is to blame. We just had two people misunderstanding each other. Oliseh gave certain context that made me understand the issues. Both of them acted based on their misunderstood positions. |

Rohr already said it plainly, Mikel will remain captain. The conditions have been well spelled out as regards Enyeama’s return. Let’s not make noise over a non-issue. MetalJigsaw: |

Rohr has been doing the needed talking with him. But he did not stop there. He also gave conditions meaning he wasn’t giving Enyeama a free pass. Rohr can do without Enyeama, but Rohr has shown from his utterances that an in-form Enyeama is needed MetalJigsaw: |

kennysville:The bolded is precisely well put. There's a kind of cheap tactics some are using on this thread: we take any category like youthfulness, team spirit, experience, clubside, performance, old legs, homebased, foreign born to set up totalitarian criteria. When you call for Martins team youth will attack you, when you call for young players, team experience will attack you sometimes with valid reasons but most times with emotion and sentiments cos they simply just love their category. Do you know I once argued strenuously against the invitation of Martins but I had to re-evaluate my stance for four reasons: 1)we need at least one more attacker(2) Martins was performing at par with Ighalo in the same league (3) it's just an invitation for God sakes (4) the overall goal of glory for the team should override my personal preference and sentiments. You see those categories I mentioned above? There are our equivalents on this thread of the tribes and tribalism issue that has bedevilled us as a nation. Tribe of youth doesn't agree with tribe of experience etc. Meanwhile we forget that what should guide our discussions is performance. Will youth help us post quality performance? Will experience help us? Will the home based help us? Will the foreign born help us? A team is not youth, home based, foreign based, team spirit solely as criterias in themselves but all of these criterias in good measure but performance trumps them all because football is a performance sports and that's what will be recorded not all the other criteria. If we like we take all the youths, if they fail to perform we will feel the pain like we did after the SA defeat. If we like let's take all the experienced players, if they fail to perform experience will not give us any satisfaction like it has never done in tourneys we took experienced players to and failed to perform. If we like let us swoon over team spirit, about chemistry if we don't perform that team chemistry will turn sour in our belle. A team is a pot of soup being cooked for public consumption not personal consumption. It needs many ingredient to make it sweet. Let's those who love salt not say oil is not good and let those who don't like pepper say onion is all we need to make the soup sweet. All categories must be carefully filtered through the sieve of what will give us optimal performance. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Famocious: Its either BBC didn't use fan votes alone to decide the award or most Nigerians simply weren't patriotic enough to vote for Moses.. The Egyptian are very fierce supporters of their football teams and numbers but we obviously have more football followers than them.. As a Liverpool fan, I say congrats to Salah .. His form this season has been hot!! He's likely to win the CAF award too.. 1 Like |

Questence:You have spoken excellently well. Defence they say wins tournaments. Ikeme kept us in the game against Zambia in Luanda before we scored. If he had conceded maybe na calculator things again for be our case. I am not by this saying Enyeama it must be. But the thought bears consideration Now at the bolded: last week we talked about team spirit and I was entirely in support of it and I gave examples of Dominech and Anelka, Maldini and Balotelli. But please let's not set up team spirit as a bogey man to stop the INVITATION of any player. We should be cautious and careful not to upset the delicate balance in the team but team spirit is one of the things in the mix not the only thing. Dennis Rodman was a cantankerous, trouble shooter. He was wahala himself. By his own admission he didn't speak with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippin for two years meanwhile they were team mates in the Championships winning team of Chicago bulls. Why am I saying this? Nothing is an absolute as such. 2 Likes |

Mujtahida:it is not based on last season. It is just fans voting Congrats to Salah. I don't think any Nigerian will win this award even in the next five years.... Such a waste of time. These days, if you are not scoring goals in football, you cannot win anything |

Mujtahida: It covers the whole of 2017.. Salah was in good form at Roma too. But like I said, if it was based on fan votes alone, then Nigerians didn't do enough.. I saw many comments on BBC Africa social media platforms where some Nigerians endorsed Salah. The Egyptians will always support their own no matter what... Moses was playing wing back sha.. How many people appreciate wing backs?? na d goalscorers dey get d glory oo.. Even Naby Keita with his fine form last season(he is still in fine form) finished last in d award.. |

Goke7:I am a 100% believer in this team and I am trusting them to to go all the way. I oppose fear: fear from those who call for youth because they are afraid some of their choice players will be displaced if the old guys are invited. I oppose fear from those who believe the team will fail unless the old legs are brought back. My perspective is simply guided by what will help the team post quality performance. I don't care about categories as such. Finally always think about this word INVITATION. It would help you alot. To be invited doesn't mean you will make the team but many of you argue that this players should not even be invited at all. 1 Like |

Danielnino00:Keita is a Bundeliga player....most Africans do not watch anything outside EPL and La Liga, so votes will not favour players outside that scope unless the player is extraordinary Then of course, there is the goal scorers angle 1 Like |
