Whenever someone from the South South does something stupid its only then that the rest of Nigeria will recognise him as an Igbo man. The Nzeogwu, Jonathan, Secondus, Wike are just a few that come to mind right now. But same people will nearly loose thier minds when you allude that the igbos do have oil...

The average Nigerian mindset still needs healing

The dullardry in Nigeria has assumed astronomical proportions

I had watched sadly from the sidelines as events unfolded following the recent PDP convention where non Igbos from SS got one over the Yoruba PDP caucus.
It was indeed interesting as Wike now fully incharge of Rivers state treasury like Amaechi was was, flexed his financial powers and translated that into political power, aided by the "cash and carry" politics of Nigeria.

Naturally I am apathic to any thing that has to do with Nigeria, as I see no future hope for Nigeria, but I had to break my silence, after watching from the sidelines how Ndiigbo had been shooting ourselves on the foot again and setting us up for national backlash via unintelligent political calculations.
This is majorly highlighted by the manner Igbo persons all over the Nigerian social media had hijacked an other wise battle between SS people and Yorubas and turned it into an Igbo vs Yoruba battle.

Having observed this trend, the following questions came to mind.

Is Wike Igbo? Cos last time I checked, he isn't.
So why are Igbos being dragged to Wike/Secondus mess, and why are some Igbos taking the bullet for Wike and his Ikwerre people?

Ndiigbo, emelu unu ya eme?

Why can't you learn to choose you fight? This fight should be an Ikwerre Vs Yoruba fight, with Ikwerre warlords like HopeAthand fighting for their brother, and other we SS people supporting him, instead Ndiigbo bought the fight, while these people ( Ikwerre and SS people) sat back and watch you take the bullets from the sidelines.
When the dust settles, Ndiigbo becomes the scape goat, while Ikwerre and SS people goes behind the scenes to get crumbs off the table of the ruling government, while not forgetting to display Igbophobia to please the Yorubas and other Nigerians.

Haven't we been down this line with GEJ before?
Why do we purposely make ourselves pawns in people's political chess board?

The way Ndiigbo are vocal all over the internet defending Wike and Secondus, one could have easily mistaken them for Igbo persons, when they are not.

Ife aga eme unu ugbolo one tupu unu amalu ife, umu Igbo?

you see the typical ibo man. he will blame everyone else but himself.

After the Nzeogwu's coup ibos in the north celebrated and mocked the northerners. the ibo coup was in January and riots and killings targetted at the ibos didn't start until may that year. have you ever asked yourself why? that's because ibos refused to let the pain of the coup go away. northerners were mocked on how Nzeogwu killed their sardauna.

the average ibo person is just like a wife that will mock you and laugh about your pains. she will sing songs to spite you just like ibos had songs mocking the death of the sardauna but the moment you lay your hands on her and start beating her she will cry for the whole neighbourhood to hear (same way you start calling ICC and UN when the heat is too much for you to take).

this is exactly the same way KANU started insulting and mocking Yorubas and Hausas in 2014. I listened to radio baifra live in imo state and on the internet whenever I'm in calabar. No one called him to order. when the northerners gave a quit notice everyone started blaming the north while forgetting that the sees of hate was planted as early as 2014.

you people should learn to accept your fault too. you are far from perfect!!!

My brother go and sleep...... Ezenwo Nyesome Wike is a full blooded igbo man stop allowing the divide and rule tactics initiatiated by the northern cabal after the Civil War create division among igbos.

If Ezenwo Nzenwo wike was probably caught in India with hard drugs they won't care if he is an ikwere man but will remember him as an igbo with the popular saying on nairaland na them fla-tties, IPOB, miscreants, developers even when Nzeogwu chukwuemeka who is clearly from Delta State then Mid West carried a coup he was tag an igbo man, every igbo man in North was killed

If by any chance riot broke out in any Northern state e.g Kano, do you think the average hausa man knows anything like ikwere or SS?
Ezenwo is Ikwerre. He had always maintained that. We must deal with that reality and stop being politically naive.

It doesn't matter what Yorubas see Wike or his Ikwerre people as, what matters is what they see themselves as.

Ndiigbo should let Wike and His Ikwerre people fight their own battles, if the table change, they won't fight ours.

well spoken Nwanne, but its a pity my people never learn. the way they spend their time and energy and defend others amaze me sometimes, which they can never do same to their own kingsmen. Mention Orji Kalu to their ear they will call him Unrepentant criminal, how about Rochas they will call him okorohausa ( betrayal), what of Oby ezekwesili? to them she is olosho, Anyim Pius Anyim a coward, and the list goes on and on. But the same people will apply everything on their arsenal to defend Fayose, FFK, GEJ, Wike, Atiku and host of others. My brother this crop of igbo youths re wasted generation. OP- I am not sure about NL but everywhere else whether in real life or television interviews I see yorubas in APC trying their best to use Secondus victory to whip up anti-Igbo sentiment and destroy the PDP.

On tv some days ago one Niyi Akinsiju in a discussion on AIT while discussing the PDP convention from nowhere out of all the tribes that voted Secondus, the man singles Igbos out for mention. It is a combination of old tribalism and a political scheme to use that hate to remove the few yorubas from PDP. Similar to how many northerners left PDP when Jonathan became president. Of course we know who the APC yorubas and northerners singled out when Jonathan won re-election....Igbos. So you see it's a pattern that they have perfected. That's why if you look well the only yorubas talking about it are the APC supporters who have saying that PDP is dead in the south west.

That Igbos are replying the insults with compound interest is normal

The entire country rejoiced after the Nzeogwu coup until evil people decided to single Igbos out by creating a phantom Igbo agenda out of the coup.
No evidence whatsoever of Igbos taunting northerners, the song called "Ewu na ebe Akwa " song used as a propaganda by Yoruba controlled media was sang by a Kalabari man and had nothing to do with the coup.
You simply regurgitating the demonic Igbophobic agenda your hateful fore runners handed over to you.

Really? Yet NL is filled with threads of Yorubas mocking Igbos and celebrating their supposed victory ever since Buhari defeated GEJ in 2015. All glaring injustice against Ndiigbo had been justified by Yorubas on social media with great taunting and mockery of the Igbo misfortunes. Perhaps, it's time you take a look at the mirror.

Uwazuruike didn't mock Yorubas, yet Yorubas were at the forefront of the media attack against Uwazuruike and MASSOB with many of them calling for police brutality to be meted at him and his group, and they all rejoiced and taunted Ndiigbo on and off this forum when the NPF eventually started malhandling MASSOB members leading to incarceration and death of many of their members, including the incarceration of Uwazuruike himself.
Kanu was part of that MASSOB and witnessed first hand the demonic tendencies of you people, little wonder he was out for you from day.

Gowon’s Mid-West State Governor (1967-1975) and Abachsa’s Labour and Productivity Minister, Brigadier Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia (Retd.), who by his own admission was hardened to believe in the sweet innocence of Nigerian soldiers until January 15, 1966, recollects the early “ecstatic jubilation” that greeted the putsch by all and sundry. The Benin-born retired soldier ominously comes clean in his 272-page book, Years of Challenge (Heinemann Educational Books, 1991):

Also, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai (b. 1926), NEPU’s second-in-command to Mallam Aminu Kano (1920-1983), who geared the Northerners towards pulling off the pogrom that followed (See African Revolutionary: Life and Times of Nigeria’s Aminu Kano by Alan Feinstein (b. 1931), claims in The Story of a Humble Life: An Auto-biography, Vol. I (Amana Publishers, 2004), that:

“At the beginning, most NEPU members were happy with the military takeover. It was only after some few days that they started to think twice about the situation…the way some Igbo traders at Sabongari market in Kano started to treat Northerners.”

So yes! There was earlier nationwide celebration, until demonic people decided to single Igbos out and started spreading Igbo agenda propaganda.

On the Yoruba hateful black Igbophobic heart :

“Among the large majority hailing from that tribe (Yorubas) who are most vocal in inciting the complete extermination of the Igbos, I often heard remarks that all Nigeria’s ills will be cured once the Igbos has been extaminated from the human map , ”
Dr Conor Cruise O’

It was Dr Akunyili and not your powerless circus called SNG, that rubbished the Turai kitchen cabinet and called them out to order.

What made Afam almighty? Because you want to use his views to represent those of all Igbos?
Never did GEJ maltreat Yorubas, he vigorously pushed for Mulikat to become the speaker of house of reps, which would have made Yorubas higher ranked in his government than Igbos, but Tinubu and Yorubas scuttled it, Preferring Tambuwal instead.
You cries of marginalization under GEJ was aptly represented by this saying : "To those used to privilege, equity looks like injustice".
You were already used to having lionshare in the South, GEJ brought equity to proceedings and you were crying foul, because equity meant that you had to give up on the excesses you had previously enjoyed, and it didn't seat well with you greedy lots.

Before GEJ came to fore front of Nigerian politics, Yorubas had been at the forefront of Igbophobic agenda.

You had been raining down hate speech on Igbos, right from the days of Ojukwu, when you were the most vocal group in calling for Igbo extermination in Nigeria, to the days of Uwazuruike, when you lots were all over the internet calling for Uwazuruike and MASSOB death even when Uwazuruike never mentioned, let alone insult Yorubas.
Kanu was a part of MASSOB and witnessed your hate first hand.
Your hate created Kanu hate towards you. You can't continiously dish out hate and be expecting love in return.

see mumu post grin so you couldn't bring igbophobic threads for me to see? like the ones I showed you where your people mocked Yorubas endlessly.

as for the so called jubilation over the coup we both know that's a lie. the other regions felt wronged and that is why it was perceived as an ibo coup especially when the coup plotters were let off easily

Despite the uncountable times this lie about Igbos jubilating in the north has been punctured, people still ignorantly or mischievously repeat it and fail to prove it when asked for evidence

entire country my as$. how could the entire country rejoice when the northerners worship the sardauna of sokoto who was killed in the coup? how about akintola that was killed in the coup? keep lying. that's your lie number one.

and as usual you are pushing the blame to Yorubas. so the Yoruba media made the song popular in a military government where the government even decides if you will go to jail for sneezing? ibos were the ones singing hate songs not Yoruba media (lie number two).

you are just a deluded illiterate with all the other tantrums.

before Jonathan even became President in 2009 the Yorubas (Save Nigeria Group of bakare and prof Soyinka) were at the forefront of the attack on the northern cabal that refused to swear him in. Sahara reporters exposed all their gimmicks.
in 2011 Jonathan won all the states in the southwest except osun state(please confirm) but after the election your brothers mocked Yorubas on this forum when some Yoruba elders went to Jonathan to complain about being marginalised after voting in as president but voting ACN candidates as governor. check this thread below and see the reaction of your ibo brothers including the all mighty Afam4ever

https://www.nairaland.com/745731/yoruba-marginalization-elders-met-jonathan

prior to 2015 election your people labelled Yorubas Hausa slaves because we wanted an buhari to win an election as an osibanjo deputy (PAY ATTENTION TO THIS LINE).

see a thread on the attack on tinubu just for bowing to greet a man ten years older than him

https://www.nairaland.com/1027764/tinubu-bow-greeting-buhari-picture-slavery

see another thread of the same nature where Yorubas were mocked

https://www.nairaland.com/1581587/tinubu-taking-bow-nearly-kissing

so you can mock us prior to election and we can't mock you after coming or victorious in the elections? first to do no dey pain grin

but after Yorubas voted Jonathan out in 2015 for none performance (he only gave us FUOYE, 20% completed lag-ib expressway and Benin ore road in 6yrs) the mockery of Yorubas still continued

see IBO attacks on Dolapo osibanjo here after 2015 election
https://www.nairaland.com/3020314/slave-girl-dolapo-osinbanjo-vs

yes uwazirike's massob didn't mock Yorubas but as far back as 2012 your people were already mocking us fr the marginalisation under Jonathan and for the alliance that was about to give birth to APC calling Yorubas Hausa slaves

even before the election as far back as 2014 KANU already started his hate speech against Yorubas and hausas. so how did we start that too

see 2014 threads on radio Biafra when ibos started their hate speech unprovoked again

https://www.nairaland.com/1951830/best-radio-biafra-broadcast-15.10.2014

see another one
https://www.nairaland.com/2021540/b-r-e-k-n

the internet never forgets. your people have mocked Yorubas more than Yorubas can ever return the favour on this forum

you called us awusa slaves in 2014 now ibos are in the process of gifting another aboki the presidency till 2023 for the she VP ticket they mocked us over.

my people are not perfect but the ibos are the number one trouble makers in the country right now.

it took 3yrs of hate speech on radio Biafra before the arewa gave the quit notice while Yorubas didn't even really react to all Kanu's hate speech apart from Nairaland arguments.

Actions would always elicit reactions. You don't hate people, put planner in their wheels and expect no reaction and backlash from them.

You are simply a reflection of the average man from your group. Always out to blame others but yourself, always expecting love in exchange for your hate.

Shior I personally asked this question during my youth service and I was told that Nzeogwu's pictures were being sold in the Northern Nigerian markets.
Igbos were selling the pictures, making money and Hausas were buying and keeping in their homes, as a reminder of SCORES to settle with those who MURDERED HAUSA LEADERS and still made a show of it.
People who stick their heads our for nonsense deserves a broken head, simple.

I see nothing wrong in what the OP wrote, Ndigbo have been committing political suicide for some time and the earlier we stop the better.

I have expected such write up since yesterday. You in collaboration with anti-Igbo band have sucessful single out your tribe. If you claim you have been following events since pdp convention you will notice that "Igbo this n that sentiment" have been mostly from non Igbos.

O bu nwata amaghi ihe na ebido ogu n'uso ekwu nne ya... It is a shame you opened up this thread, because you will run around circles and end up increasing your woes.

Why not write positive articles of your people.
Saying the truth is not alien to the Igbo people or culture and the OP is spot on with his write up.

Mister man, here is not your local Yoruba Yoruba beer parlour in Sagamu, Ogbomosho or whatever other place you lots usually crawl out from.

Provide a concrete THIRD PARTY evidence of the celebration after Nzeogwu coup being a solely Igbo celebration and not a nationwide one or take your demonic Yoruba lies elsewhere.

Because the north coordinated revisionism and non-stop propaganda to paint the Nzeogwu coup as an Igbo affair and it took them four months to perfect their plans of a countercoup. Why did you ask?

well spoken Nwanne, but its a pity my people never learn. the way they spend their time and energy and defend others amaze me sometimes, which they can never do same to their own kingsmen. Eziokwu ogaghi adiri onye mere anyi ihe ahu na mma.

The reason is simple
If you are in PDP, regardless of tribe, you are the darling of ibo youths
However, if you are neutral like Oby or in APC like Orji or Rochas, you are in trouble with ibo youths and they will pour all their venom on you
