It would be a blessing for us. According to the Dependency Theory, the less we depend on core states, the more we would develop. You think these core states like America are doing us a favor by giving us aids? Of course, not. They are simply encouraging us to depend on them, thereby suppressing our chances of developing. It is a sort of neocolonialism that needs to stop soon for Nigeria to truly attain greatness.
You are on point

But couldn't our dumb president stay neutral. What's our biz with Palestine. Us is a major contributor to our economy. Should we be bitng their fingers without a replacement for them?

Presidents of Germany, France, England, China, Russia and others must be dumb as well.

If 127 other countries voted against the resolution, then Nigeria has done nothing wrong. Over vote is not for sale. Even SA is going downgrade their embassy to a liaison office in Israel. Nobody rigged the vote. Every body just gave a piece of their mind.

Yes, but brother buhari should have understood and consider the secularity of Nigeria.

UN is toothless bull dog. I recognize Togo's courage. Nothing united for united nations. Even if the votes were in favor of Israel, Islamic countries will still terrorize the world, reason why UN should not take definite stand on the issue

Even though the world in it's entirety gather against the Word of God, the Word will surely prevail. Its Jesus that declared that "heaven and earth will pass away but His word will remain"
The word of God declared that there will be a third temple and the people of Israel will be gathered back home. Because that Temple when built will be used by the Antichrist to profane the name of God, and also declare himself God.... I don't want to go into full details but with what I knw and believe, whether the world stands against Jerusalem/Israel time is coming when the third temple will be rebuilt.
God has brought his children back home, whether they acknowledge him or not, but Isaiah 55:11, says so are my words it cannot not come forth and return to me void, for it most accomplish the purpose for which it has been sent. God will always hold on to His words.
I just pity guys that have become over familiar with God, that you speak as though you're making a jest of Him... Its OK...

It was a wanton charade by UN. That election is a diplomatic misfire that should not have happened. U.S is a sovereign nation with right to move their capital and recognize any place in the world.

The vote against that decision is so useless that it will further show how weak UN has become. Nothing will happen to U.S and Israel. That decision of Trump stands.

America carries 22 percent of entire UN budget. If they withdraw that. UN will retrench staff for the first time in History. Humanitarian aid world over will feel the impact.

The vote was wrongly timed. Diplomatic reach out should have continued....see Nigeria wey dey beg U.S for military arms and support dey vote against them. Issoari
guy your analysis is on point but the issue is that most africa countries voted to support their colonia master

SHAME, SHAME ON TRUMP FOR MAKING AMERICA TRUMPED.

JERUSALEM REMAINS THE CAPITAL OF PALESTINE

No need to be happy. America has recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital and it remains so. A UN vote against US decision does not carry much weight at this time. America is still the backbone of the UN.

Bihari is a Muslim and he will simply support his religion. If a Christian were in power he would support his religion too.

It is funny how people do not understand that Jerusalem is the convergence point of all religions

Jews are not Christians, and when they get Jerusalem as their capital, every other religion would get kicked out of Jerusalem

Even if Christians in their "turn the other cheek" manner walk away, Muslims who believe they have a claim to Jerusalem would not even take the first slap

#ReligionInstigatedWorldWar shocked

Trump is dumb in a smart way lipsrsealed

It's Good everyone begins to show the USA Leadership that it can't continue to hold the world to ransome.

GOOD MORNING BY THE WAY.

Although some Nations had ulterior motives behind their voting ascend and pattern but that not withstanding, Our (GOD) it is that is to manifest at the end of the day.

And what is that Will of Ours (GOD)? Status quo be restored and maintained in other to continue to sustain the PEACE AND LOVE that had already been established in the region between both ISRAEL & PALESTINE.

For We had identified the decision by Mr DONALD TRUMP to declare JERUSALEM as New ISRAELI CAPITAL as being a Voided & nullified pronouncement by Us already even before the UN resolution.

Of interest though is the revelation about some fellow African Nations and their voting choice and the decision of others to abstain actually speaks volume of the leadership status in those units and their allegiance of toeing the same line of Old World.

Or was it because of the withdrawal threat by the USA leadership of it credit grants?

Finally, What should be of paramount interest and importance to the world in particular presently is the reported case of acute food, water and shelter shortage in YEMEN and other trouble spots of the world rather than dwelling on an already ineffective decision.

ALL WE (GOD) WANTS, DESIRES, DEMANDS AND IS HEREBY DECLARING THIS DAY IS PEACE AND LOVE TO REIGN SUPREME AMONGST MANKIND ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE ON EARTH

LOVELY UNITARY GOD

Well said o jare.

I am really disappointed at the childishness of the UN. So after their voting they will now go to the US and force them to unrecognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel abi?.
