Well I realised marriage will give me access to green card than H1b... After school, i wont be killing myself with employers.

The truth is i married for love. If she is not an American, Yes, i will still marry her. That's the truth! But then i let her know that i hope she will file for me if we get married, she said that is not a problem and she did.. papers is an added advantage... I was messing with a nairalander the other day saying by the time we finish school, You will be looking for H1B whereas I have no need to..

Getting married for papers(Sham marriages) no really worth am but I cant decide for someone what he wants to do..

Bros, why are you so wise!!!... I love you brother (no Homo)

Honestly guys, if I could update this thread every single day, I would. In all honesty, My life is not that interesting. Some of my days consist of working all day, barely grabbing stuff to eat, getting home and going straight to bed out of exhaustion.

The second time I lost my temper at work was some days back.

It was on a Sunday morning, I was scheduled to work from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Work was going slow as was expected for a Sunday morning. One of the customary down-time conversations ensued. This time someone brought up a topic about flu (common cold).

So this gay dude chips in, that these days the flu shots are becoming less effective because the mosquitoes have gotten bigger. I replied, telling him the size of mosquitoes have nothing to do with the effectiveness of flu shots. Next thing, he goes: "well, the mosquitoes have gotten bigger because of you immigrants"

I sarcastically asked him "How, please explain"

Being too shallow to understand sarcasm, this dude went ahead to say, (we) immigrants carry mosquito eggs in our luggage when coming into the USA, that that's the reason the flu shots are no longer effective.

I swear, my jaw dropped in astonishment. I jejely told him mosquitoes lay eggs in stagnant water and that there's no way immigrants could enter the USA with mosquito eggs. I ended the "conversation" with: "you are so loud and ignorant, read a book"

The dude started raining insults on me o. And hit me with "go back to your country you f*cking immigrant"

I could feel the adrenaline rise, I could feel myself 2 seconds away from losing my temper, but I just smiled and walked away.

I later reported it to the general manager after I discovered that the dude went about talking _shit with my name to other co-workers. I decided to rise above the whole drama and put in my resignation.

Education

Honestly, if you're leaving the country for education and you need your transcript evaluated FAST, don't use wes. I applied for my transcript to be evaluated since March 2017, up till now, they are not done, it has been a series of stories. From one verification to another, from one letter to another. I'm honestly fed up.

Some time ago, chicago state university erroneously sent me a letter congratulating me on offering me admission, but later sent another email telling me it was a mistake. I've been in contact with them, I've paid the application fee, I've instructed my previous institution to send my transcript (which they did), the only thing left right now is the transcript evaluation from Wes.

It turns out I didn't lose the Amazon job, I even got paid around $200 just for showing up for the orientation (even though I came late). I've been receiving emails from Amazon recruiting, telling me to be patient, that they would inform me of any new orientation date. I go knack una the gist sha. Right now, my 30 minutes break is over, I'm going back to work.

Merry Christmas guys. One love.

It is well bro. That guy is nasty though from your story.

I remember when I was working at superstore, one of the Philippino guys (they were like 60% of the people in the Produce Department) who was actually friendly asked if I was from Africa.

I was like "obviously".

He said: "Africa must be a very big country".

Ah. I sharply did some Geography 101 for him that Africa is a continent and there are over 50 countries. My country, Nigeria, is just one of them. I asked if he had never heard of Nigeria before, the most populous black nation?

He continued: "I have heard of South Africa. Isn't that the Southern part of Africa? And you are saying Africa is not a country?". grin

Na so I just ignore am.
