hardeycute: I am not blaming Benzema for the loss. I am blaming Zidane for being obdurately obstinate with fielding Benzema when its clear he needs to sit the bench. He just wants to prove he is right and everyone else is wrong. Something not worth it. Why throw away greatness to make a certain setbof players happy. No competition for Benzema was the start of the problem. |

usbcable:Benzema hit the post, you know? I don't think anyone hates Benz as I do, I can't put the blame on him alone. He had few misplaced passes. We dominated them in FH but came back to look disjointed and uninterested. Toni kroos? What does that albino do?Many bad decisions in the final Third World I stopped watching after the first goal. |

usbcable: True, Benzema shouldn't have started. But what the hell did Zidane tell them in the dug out at half time? To soak pressure and hit on the counter? Because I see no reason why Modric would be It beggars belief that we actually had 4 midfielders in a game and there was that much space for the first two goals (and other open opportunities that Barca could have put away). First half, we showed glimpses of Madrid of last season, in the second half we went into default mode (aka our nonchalant selves). Personally, I'd have no issue if Benzema or Zizzou is made the scapegoat, but that second half has been Madrid all season. Not that bothered tho'. La liga is gone. We may likely not get any trophy this season playing like that. Now, it's just about watching if the expected changes and corrections would be made. But knowing Zizzou, I don't see that happening. Sucks to have an adamant manager. hardeycute: We aren't winning sh*t. The midfield and defense will fall short at critical moments. Benzema would miss consistently and add very little, if anything. And we'd continue having our poor run of luck. Two handballs and no penalty today. And let's not forget that the third goal shouldn't have happened because the ball went out of play. And that Navas spill (I'd give him a break tho', scoreline could have been much worse). -Lord |

hardeycute: Good you stopped watching. It was a disaster after the first. Don't blame Toni Kroos alone. The entire midfield just took a leave of absence in the second half. And we both know Marcelo and Carvajal are attackers masquerading as defenders. Ramos is the Defensive Benzema (shows up whenever he feels like it). So whenever that midfield cover blows open as they did for the three goals, we can only look at the score sheet and hope bad doesn't become worst.. We could easily have bossed this Barca team from start to finish. But we just had to switch off. Sums up RM this season. You know what they can do. You know if they put in the requisite effort, they'd get something. Then you have your hands in your mouth hoping they don't come out playing like Nigerian civil servants (weda we work or we no work, pay dey sure end of the month). -Lord |

WTF let the ball do in.It was a reflex action but should have refrain from stopping the ball 11 vs 11 would have been better.

LordAdam16:From the onset I saw how barka was looking more interested and dominating I just knew we were going lose Don't blame Toni Kroos alone. Failure to bury the chances in the FH was what we paid for We could easily have bossed this Barca team from start to finish. But we just had to switch off.You gave the best description of the situation. The B2B UCL was a curse in disguise. 1 Like |

In this business, if you don't take your chances, you risk these sort of outcomes. Kovacic did a great job though. |
Re: R36L Madrid - Most Successful & Greatest Champ15ns of Spain, Europe & W8rld by LordAdam16: 3:51pm On Dec 23, 2017 |
FBS: Yup. Navas was a life saver as well (barring his gaffe for the last goal). CR7 wasn't bad today (although that air shot was embarrassing). Varane was reliable as ever. I have no words for the rest of the team. I think Zidane finally has his chance to give all the players enough playtime now that La Liga is out of sight. The oldies should get a long rest. Now's the time to build options he'd be confident in for next season. -Lord |

One thing have also noticed is that we have some of the best defenders ITW but as a unit they are Shiites!!! is it Zizou or the players that lack positional discipline? Tottenham game at Wembley comes to mind. Real Betis Laliga loss Girona loss |

Re: R36L Madrid - Most Successful & Greatest Champ15ns of Spain, Europe & W8rld by LordAdam16: 3:58pm On Dec 23, 2017 |
hardeycute: @ the bold. Hard to tell. RM had lost or drawn multiple games this season and even had scares with wins in games were we went up first. Even if we were a goal up at half time, we could just have lost this game with our poor showing in the second half. There's simply no excuse for our second half performance. Reminiscent of our Tottenham loss. The team can switch off whenever they want. And they know there'd be no repercussions. Every player on today's squad knows starting the next game is a given. Unless, Zizzou just wants to rest them. -Lord |

FBS: Kova did a great job in the first half. Only God knows what exactly wet wrong in the second. If am to put it on someone then it will be the coach. For goodness sakes start someone else instead of Benzema. No matter how many times you fu*king use him he is not going to Russia. Secondly he needs to start playing the new comers now that the liga is gone for good. But guess what he will still defend Benzema till Resurrection day. A painful game of 2 halves RM dominated the first with nothing to show. Barka dominated the second by the goals they scored. Summary Zidane needs to stop being emotional with certain players |
