It’s high time Nigeria govt stand up as a sovereign nation and tell USA to Bleep off with their fucking money

Are you not ashamed of yourself when America threaten your country that if Nigeria doesn’t follow her instruction to abstain from the voting process, she ll punish your country?

What is your sense of pride?

How do you feel when a USA citizen is proudly talking about his country while your own country is cowing whenever USA sneezes?

We should all be proud of our great country at this point in time for standing against USA foreign policy.

The USA citizens see our continent as a result of their government propaganda via CNN and BBC like animal farm where monkey live due to the fact that African leaders and citizens parade themselves without self respect and full patriotism.

128 have called USA fuckingg bluff and there is nothing on USA table to use against Nigeria.

Margaret Thatcher tried this Nonsense with Nigeria in early 80s when Nigeria Airway was grounded in UK. If it was now, i guess all these sissy men in this generation would have asked this strong and patriotic man called Buhari to chicken in and take a defeat. Thank God for giving us a man with national pride who told Britain that Nigeria ll give Britain 48hrs to release Nigeria Airways with 3 British Airways already grounded in Nigeria in retaliation. Nigeria gave British Embassy staff 48hrs to start packing their bags to leave Nigeria while Nigeria diplomats were asked to return home. What a National pride!

What is wrong with you guys in this generation without Shame? So you expected Nigeria to stay away from election cos USA say so. Pathetic!

In all your years of relationship with USA, tell me what have you gain as a country from that relationship in terms of social infrastructures, FDI and technology.

The little new infrastructures you see in Nigeria and other countries in Africa are made possible by China within the last five years of Africa relationship with China.

Finally, in the midst of Nigeria war against Bono Haram during Jonathan Administration, Nigeria govt did everything possible to get some military hardwares from USA with our money but what did USA do? She refused to sell to Nigeria with the help of Congress. USA even went as far blocking other countries from selling to us hence why we lost over billion of naira to South Africa when we were trying to get those military wares clandestinely. Thank God for Russia who later stepped in and help Nigeria out.

USA can’t hold us to ransom. It’s high time we throw their help to their face and tell them to Hell off.

The only economic power they have over Nigeria is our trade deal with USA which is our oil. If USA decide not to buy our oil, there are over 150 countries around the world ready to buy it. Why the stress?

If Ghana could proudly voted against USA foreign policy with the rest of the world like what we had few days ago, you guys lamenting and whining about why Nigeria shouldn’t have voted against it are nothing but freaking wimps and deserved to be castrated cos you are not real men.

128 countries stood together against tyranny and here you are telling 50 reasons why Nigeria shouldn’t have voted against USA. Bleep off Dawg.

If USA raises a resolution tomorrow that’s fair to the world, Nigeria is ready to work with USA.

Peace

I bet you are a Muslim. what the united states did is not injustice.

pray tell, do you know the history of Jerusalem? How it was founded from tents thousands of years ago. For your information, in that way Niger river is connected to the name Nigeria and Nigeria's so also Jerusalem is connected to Jews. The Jews built that city thousands of years ago, its their home, the city of David since 4000 BCE.
They chose and built the temple on the temple mount the Romans destroyed it. By the time it put up again the Islamic Ottoman Empire was world dominant.

some one say Prophet Muhammed accend into heaven at the temple in Jerusalem. no on asks how legit such an event is or if it simply signifies unity of 2 warring religions,no. The ottoman empire razed what was left of temple in Jerusalem and massive shrines.

if I come to your village and concert it to a chur and send u packing how will u like it?

Those mosques in Jerusalem has stood for so long that everyone forgets its Jewish ansestral land. But the God himself warned to Jews not allow other tribes live in their land else they would become a thorn in their flesh. The Jews never listened

Igbo people don't want to be in your Nigeria. We are only here because of the guns countries like the USA and her allies have given you to subjugate us. When they take those guns and give them to us, we will revisit all your atrocities against us. It is a promise that will be fully fulfilled if tables were to turn against you guys. No the op stated a very valid point if u ask me although I'm not in total support.

However, I think it's best we took a stand in this matter than remain neutral as someone said the deepest part of hell is reserved for those who maintain neutrality in time of moral crisis. Jonathan knowing fully well what voting against Palestine then would have against his regim still took a stand rather than remain neutral.

Undeniably, Voting for or against sure has its pro n con so basically it's best u do the right thing u think and make plans in good time to mitigate against the cons When it start knocking.

My brother, what that guy stated is an outstanding fact. If trump cut ties with Nigeria today, it will only mean positive for our dear country.

How can you threaten a sovereign nation
United nation unanimously agreed on a resolution and just only you want to change it
The vote shows our support for human right
How many countries will America cut ties with? Trump think they can stand without those countries
And many more my brother.

When Iran was sanctioned, it only show people of Iran their strength
When North Korea was sanctioned, I don't think any Africa country can dear NK militarily even America can nit single handedly fight them

JFK in his ich bin ein berliner's speech said " ..when one is in bondage, all are not free".The world is too interconnected and we musnt take the other look when the rights of others are trampled upon. we all share a collective destiny, a collective duty to make the world a better place and our actions must be anchored on that concrete fact.

And to y'all citing scriptures and what u not. I still keep asking myself is it not God that created the Palestinians according to ur scripture? if the answer to that question is a yeah, then why giving special treatment to one at the expense of the other? And having done that, is it still right to call such a scriptural god a just God?

What was Libyan interest in Nigeria during Jonathan era? Jonathan acted in the interest of Nigerian sovereign interest.

Now tell me, what is Nigerian interest in the middle east? Please don't tell me morality because there is no such in Int'l politics.

In case you don't know, in international politics there is a difference between "dealing with America" (a country that constantly and malevolently redefines the rule of law to their selfish purposes)...

... and dealing with "other countries" of the world who readily embrace law and other, even when propped into a seeming disadvantage position.

That is what intentional politics is about: Different dishes for different dinners.

By the way ask yourself, why is USA unhealthfully continues to remain in propaganda all across the world

I will tell you.

1.Nigeria by voting for already existing UN resolution, has asserted. its global interests and commitment to global peace and justice.

You. cannot be neutral on very crucial issue. That would be an act of cowardice.
This is a meaningless benefit. Almost every country is already committed to global peace and
justice as if the term has any practical meaning.
The palestinian issue is not crucial for the world or Nigeria in particular, it is an arab-israeli
affair and Nigeria should have stayed out.
But the Nigerian government think the feel-good effect which disappears as fast as it comes
is sufficient reason to vote no.

2.Economic interests are mutual.USA will collapse if 128 countries reciprocate any sanction .

To hell with USA aid. When a door closes, another one opens.
If you understand how the world economy works you will realise that 128 countries
can never and will never sanction the US because aside from European powers who would
never contemplate such move most of them are dependent on the US economy and
they will be shooting themselves in the foot. Is it the Arabs whose major oil buyer is the USA?
It was even with the US persuasion that many of them joined the US in the first place.
Stop thinking like magicians, doors don't open unless you open them.

Nigeria's population would be very suicidal to ignore, economically.Other continents are saturated,USA cannot afford not to do business with Nigeria,Ghana and South Africa.

In essence interests are mutual,we both lose or we both gain!!!!!
Is this a joke, Nigeria have an unbalanced trade with the US and we mostly
trade in items that are essential to our survival and cannot get anywhere else
e.g military and IT equipment.
Have you also forgotten, the 50,000 Nigerians who move to US every year and the
billions of dollar they remit back home?

For your information, most of our consumer goods are imported from Asia and not USA.
Please go to any Nigerian market and try to count items that were "made in USA".

No, interests are never mutual, someone who didn't do their assignment
and act irrationally always loses more. If you think interests are mutual,
please ask Cuba how they fared with the US sanction.

You don't seem to know the kind of precarious situation you have found yourselves in. All they have to do is make a decision in their boardroom to support Biafra actualization, and you guys go know how far. The oil you are making noise with, does not even belong to you but to the people they gave you guns to subjugate.

In all, I am quite happy with the turn of events. Your sheikhs in Arabia can't bribe Trump with anything, unlike your pay for play Obama and Hilary.

I leave you with a Bible verse "blessed is he who enlargeth gad's territory. Gad is posed there like a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head". All it takes is for the US Government to exercise patriot law, designates Nigeria as ''hostile'' and all the Bill gates funds will stop coming.
Obviously going by your reasoning, US will also designate the other 127 countries including China, that voted against her as "hostile" right? Let them try it first now.

point of clarification, the 5 nuclear powers can't veto an issue bothering on State Recognition. They can merely have an opinion. Ur oda points are valid. If veto was possible on this subject matter then ur oda points will be irrelevant.

You only managed to prove you are a liar, majority of the people hailing trump and attacking Palestinians are ipob lackeys. Is it not funny you said we should support US against international Law because we benefit from then while at the same time support the same International law when ipob liars are involved, your duplicitous nature always betrays you.
I'M NOT THE OP. IF AT ALL YOU READ HIS ESSAY, YOU WILL NOTE THAT HE WROTE THAT NIGERIA SHOULD BE NEUTRAL. THATS WHERE WE SHOULD BE AS A SECULAR COUNTRY. ONCE BUHARI DECIDES TO SIDE PALESTINE COS OF ISLAMIC REASONS THEN THE CHRISTIAN SIDE OF NIGERIA WILL TOO. JERUSALEM IS NOT ABOUT CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM BUT ABOUT, BUT ABOUT ISRAEL AND PALESTINE AS INDIGINOUS PEOPLE AND NOU AS A RELIGOUS ENTITY. NIGERIA SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUTIOUS
