Merciless means bad

unpopular opinion here but black mirror season 4 was a total disappointment. Arkangel(ep2)and crocodile(ep2) are probably the worst black mirror episodes I have ever watched. USS callister(ep1) was very average and felt un-blackmirroresque with the ending. The cookie technology was over used this season. The only good episodes were hang the dj and black museum.
Black museum was the best episode by far...it was the only episode that had a black mirror ending. But even the ending was a copy of white mirror's ending(eternal cookie torture).

I have to say Netflix shows in 2017 were bad for me.
Narcos season 3 was average
The punisher is the most boring superhero/villain show I have ever watched
stranger things season 2 was subpar
I only enjoyed american vandal

About "Black Mirror", maybe this season wasn't as good as previous seasons, but it was still brilliant. yes there were a few plot holes and inconsistencies but it still delivered on what black mirror is known for, that is, a warning to society about the dangers of relying too much on technology. like the highly misunderstood "metalhead" which one can interpret as a caveat on the recent debate about development of autonomous weapon systems. Also the twist at the end of the episode where it is revealed that the item the ill fated protagonists died trying to obtain were teddy bears for a dying kid can be taken as an allegory for humanity's obsession with protecting young life no matter the cost.

now about "The Punisher", Marvel, instead of producing 13 hours of mindless violence went towards another direction and effectuated a series that while being all about character and motivation also delivers on that anticipated blood pumping action.
it's very easy to write of slow burners, it has been proven that these kind of series are the most profound

There's nothing special about it. It's something we have all seen before. An interesting watch, yes, very interesting, and sometimes, riveting, but it does start to get very predictable as you go on. I got bored at episode 6. The end.

I never said Damnation isn't good.

It's quality in it's own modest way, but in no way a marquee offering like you hyped it. It's full of flaws: censored dialogue, censored scenes, and gaping plot holes that finally made me give up on it even after going relatively far - episode 6.

I made it a priority to watch the most unpredictable of shows. There are loads out there. Loads and loads.

My best show of 2017. Admittedly, The finale season wasn't as memorable as Season 2, but such a wholesome ending brought tears to my eyes.

The writers ran out of fresh source materials after the 2nd season, and start recycling story arcs. It's a surprise it took them 3 more seasons to finally give up. 5/10 and I'm being kind.
