Surprisingly Buhari with his lengthy epileptic readings on 1st January made no mention of Fulani herdsmen. He owns 150 cows and a Fulani. People have written, shouted and echoed through media yet the presidency remain adamant. That is why restructuring is necessary where each state controls police of their own because Nigeria police seems not interested even the military. Hsbaaa Pa Buhari.
If the villagers try to revenge they will be arrested. Let vote again.

Still, Yorubas will vote for him again.

It will forever continue because its root lie in false hood and conspiracy heaped on Igbos primarily by Yorubas that have almost destroy the Igbos. While the Yorubas are busy with their media out of extreme hatred of the Igbos creating the impression that Igbos are tribalistic, hateful and etc, deliberately avoiding with their media the real haters and killers of Nigerians.
We all need to come together and stop this atrocity right under our nose

All the states in the north not ruled by the Fulani are in danger of attacks. Locals in Taraba, Benue and Plateau will always go to bed with one eye open. Nasarawa is safe because Almakura is married to Fulani, Kogi is not exempt from their carnage. State ruled by Fulani but with strict opposition from minority tribes like Kaduna and Adamawa will always have Fulani sponsored attacks. Niger is a no go area for Fulani cos it’s the home of powerful retired generals. Also, I fear for Taraba if Thephilus Danjuma (a strong man) kicks the bucket.

Why are you crying more than the bereaved, PMB and his cohort are on top of the situation and happy about the massacre. Shame on you for defending this shame we call president.
you are blinded with hatred. You call the President shame but it is you that is shamed. As I said in one of my post, 12million people voted against the President in 2015 (some of them did so due to religious bigotry, trabilism, and love for corruption). I bet you are one of them. So no qualms

Blacks are hypocrites I guess..

This is another reason why I criticize igbos always with their "I before others" mentality.

Had it been GEJ performed well and was allowed to carry every region along, instead of them hijacking his govt., Yorubas would have stood by him and things will be going fine.

Now look at the country.. GEJ failed and there was no way he could continue.

Everything Igbos think they had cornered from Yorubas have all been taken from them by Hausas and Fulanis. Now they are the ones wailing day and night.

While I agree that the FG can do more, seeing the zero-tolerance the army showed Shias and IPOB, let's not forget that Fulani herdsmen violence was widespread during the GEJ era. It was during his administration that they made the top 5 of the world's most deadly groups:
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/global-terrorism-index-nigerian-fulani-militants-named-as-fourth-deadliest-terror-group-in-world-a6739851.html%3famp.

I think the collapse of Libya led to a proliferation of arms. Add desertification, economic deprivation and demographic challenges (high birth rates amongst Fulanis) and you will realise this is only the beginning.

This I can't answer.. honestly!

But are we 100% sure these guys are Fulanis or external threat trying to throw Nigeria into a frenzy.
It's not fair to just pick on one tribe and accuse them of constant killings. That's my own take.

I feel Nigeria is currently under attack for some reasons unknown to us.

Do you really think foreigners will have that temerity to consistently attack Nigerians right here in Nigeria?

I'm so pained seeing people run away from their fatherland because some group of people who carry sophisiticated weapons to tend cows attack them in their villages. Honestly I wish there is something I could do now to physically defend those guys no matter how costly.

Worst of it all is that the President is indifferent about this. The governors and local government authorities look so incapacitated. Well-meaning Nigerians feel less concerned because it hasn't gotten to their estates, mansions and houses. Everybody is sitting akimbo.

How long is this onslaught going to continue? Are we going to fold our hands and watch defenseless people being slaughtered like goats in their own lands?
The first gift creation gave to man was land. The bitterest of wars you'll ever fight is over your land.

But right here, we keep silent and watch people being killed and their lands being taken over by strangers including cows.

Guys don't you think this is a strategic genocide, be it religious or ethnic?
Don't you think there are wicked ulterior motives behind these attacks?

The primary reason why you have a neighbor is, to hAve someone speak up for you when you have no voice, to have someone fight for you when you are defenseless. If your neighbor keeps silent while you're being attacked, after you might have been dealt with, it will get to his turn. It is a chain reaction people!!!!!

We are all disappointing humanity by standing neutral in time of moral and human atrocities. Those guys being attacked need someone to speak up for them at least.

Guys we have to speak up so that our diversity remains intact. Agatu comes to mind. That village is a complete shadow now. It's also happening in Southern Kaduna and Adamawa. Lineages, tribes, generations, nations are gradually being exterminated.

We can't let this continue, guys we can't. My heart bleeds now. If there is anything you can do to make the cries of these people heard, please do.

YES they can..

Even UK, France etc face similar attacks but they have working security systems which Nigeria lacks.

All those attacks are targeted at specific places; places where the people are vulnerable; people's lands and inheritance are at stake here

But with Fulani herdsmen that is actually killing people daily, everyone is silent.

IPOB that carries microphone is more dangerous than Fulani herdsmen that carry AK-47.

They aren't "well meaning" and they don't see themselves as "Nigerian".

They are Fulani and or Kanuri, first and foremost. "Muslims" second.

No space for Nigeria, or humanity, in their hearts.

I get your drift..

The major reason is insecurity and lack of clearly defined boundaries.
The state governors should sit up and secure their people, lands and properties.
They shouldn't leave everything to federal.

The caption of this thread is very funny. What the hell is “well meaning Nigerians”? Nigeria does not have any well meaning jackass. Nigeria is a hallmark of insincerity, foolishness and double standard. Nigeria lost the sense of neighborhood when certain miscreants joined northern region of Nigeria to prosecute war against Ndigbo and Biafrans. Unity, not union, has died a natural dead in Nigeria. Nigeria is happily waiting for sudden disintegration.
