Some foolish people are here slating Yoruba people, My friend married from a Yoruba Family and guess what, the father -in-law told the boy not to pay a dime for bride price, The cost of the wedding was shared between my friend and the father, right now my friend is in England with his wife, the money he intended to use for the bride price is what he used to process their travelling documents, I am the one in charge of building his house, at roofing stage, if the father was greedy like this IMO state man, the husbands life wouldn't have taken this turn !

Im sure she must have voiced some complaint either verbally or through body language which must have fallen on deaf ears of her father due to what Jesus called the deceptive power of riches.

i appreciate her courage and mettle.

You don't know noting about the Igbo's and their traditions... That stupid girl saw or know what's its required to marry a girl in there village.... And the list was giving to the guy on what and what is needed....

If the guy can not afford the list or need more time to get things done no one will force him to.... fix a date for the marriage....
