We have Ighalo.
so you will take just one CF to Russia? And not even a potent one, how many goals does Ighalo have for Nigeria?

Kelechi had two assists and a goal in our last game. You will drop him, but you will take Ighalo that has on and off day?

Is this supposed to be a joke? undecided

Go for Ademola Lookman of Everton
one of the many uninformed Nigerians who do not know that Ademola Lookman has categorically stated that he wants nothing to do with us.

You guys should bother to read up on news before posting these things at least

You heard the coach; he never said Kelechi ain't good but his lack of playing time has affected his confidence in front of goal. Probably Rorh and his scouts had gone to Leicester so both could play but their case is different; There performance is just below par.

How can he take players who aren't featuring in their club side. It's an unnecessary risk.

Iheanacho has lost it. Call a spade a spade.

Ighalo score a superb goal and right now, I can count on Iwobi as a perfect Supporting Striker to Ighalo.
Musa's experience might count in World cup.

one goal? Against Cameroon that Kelechi also scored against....what are you even saying?

I did not hear the coach say anything, I read some report.

Do you even know what our team list currently looks like? Do you know how many CFs and MFs we have? Because of you had any idea what our team list looks like, you would not be saying we should take only Ighalo to World Cup....Ighalo with an abysmal record for us? Haba!

so, you have not confirmed it? But there is a move? The same way Etebo is moving to Porto abi?

So, Kelechi is not a reliable striker for us again? Or has he failed you in the Super Eagles recently?

Anyway, there is still Southampton interest and the fans want him. Read it up

PS: We do not have capable replacement for Kelechi

There is no coach in the world who won't want all his players hot and ready. By the time the season is over in May the teams will have just a few weeks to prepare for the mundial and at most two or three grade b friendlies (because most cup teams will not want to risk their prime players). Is that enough time and test to bring a cold engine to speed? in a competotion against opponents who have players in good shape.

Is that not the reason Yak missed an open goal from 12 inches out. Is that not the reason for Kaita's mistimed tackle.... in football form is everyting. The best coaches in the world know it and demand it. Nigeria cannot be an exception to the generic rule of football.

why don't you focus on the players that don't need you to beg then before they make the U-turns.....Nigerians just like being embarrassed, you want a repeat of that shameful Tammy Abraham debacle abi?

Focus on Onuachu, Dessers, Bonaventure if you need forwards, people who are interested in this country. Some of you do not know any players outside of the EPL, that is why you make such shallow suggestions

We took an experienced Yakubu Aiyegbeni to the World Cup, what happened. The history was good, that he was our best striker by the records but the geography was bad as he couldn't plot the direct route to goal from two yards. My friend, form is everything.

This is one of those statements that was not said, but just inferred

Not assumed, but implied and then inferred, and you would agree that within the context is indeed a reasonable inference. I like those boys but the coach would be right to drop any player who prefers to sit on the bench making money instead of moving to a club where he will get gametime.

and I guess lack of game time also made Messi miss a penalty in Copa America?

Which mistimed tackle did Keita have? Keita shoved a Greek player openly and got a red card, was it lack of game time that was responsible for his burst of anger? Abi you watched another match?

The problem with you Nigerian football fans that wait for news on the team to reach FP is that your arguments lack depth.

drop them for who? The way Keshi dropped half his original team in 2014, only to make a spectacle of himself in Brazil abi?

We need our best legs which include Musa and Nacho. Unfortunately they both ain't playing right now which shows they're not good enough. If that situation do not change before the mundial, it's best they join us as we watch from Naija but the truth still remains, do we have alternatives?
Even those playing are mediocre at best. Our squad isn't just good enough but with the team spirit that got us to Russia still intact, we may still spring some surprises with the players we have.

There is not one of the 32 coaches going to the world cup that will not desire all his players in fine form. How do yoiu even assess form when the person in question is not playing. The risk is just too high. Gone are the days of reputation and history. That is just assumpition and can fail anytime. Sorry, but that is the fact. He will find someone else to replace him who he can assess on the field of play.
