@JandJ2017, i'll advice you to call the school to ask how their deferment works and tell them you're waiting for the approval of your visa.. The school will advice you on what to do. |

awuf: Boss! I'm sorry to see your visa got refused. I'll address your case. Pardon me because this post will be long and detailed. Firstly, looking at your GCMS note it's pretty straight forward, as i can see you don't have problem with finances here. The Visa officer is not convinced you're applying in good faith i.e they are not satisfied you're a genuine student. Your NOTE is clearly pointing at the following - 1-) PURPOSE OF VISIT 2-) CURRENT EMPLOYMENT SITUATION & LIMITED EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS IN COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE. 3-) HOME TIE 4-) PERSONAL ASSET AND FINANCIAL ESTABLISHMENT. PURPOSE OF VISIT You have failed to convinced the visa officer the benefits of studying in Canada rather than home country, having the high cost of international students. They aren't satisfied you will leave Canada at the end of authorized stay. - Your SOP should address this please. LIMITED EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS IN COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE/CURRENT EMPLOYMENT SITUATION Your employment/job offer did not constitute a significant to Nigeria, meaning the job offer/the employment prospects of your job can't compel your return back to your home country after completion of studies in Canada. I made it clear on my last post that - "Every embassy will like to satisfy themselves that the applicant has a gainful employment in their country of residence and that the prospects of getting a job when they loose their current one is high. That satisfies them that you won’t leave your job when you travel to their country. Canada’s High Commission is no exception." You failed to prove this to the Visa Officer. HOMETIE The Visa officer is not also satisfied your family members and your professional ties can compel you to return home. Did you add your family birth certificates? Did you give a tangible reason that you're coming back to continue your job with notable prove? Did your employer state that you will be welcomed to return after studies to take the company to a greater height with your international certifcate and there will be a promotion in office for you to that effect on his introductory /Recommedation letters? PLEASE NOTE - While doing this you should also put some factors into consideration like the duration of the course you're going to study, how long will it take you to complete it.? If you will be staying longer, presenting a job offer will weaken your application, because the Visa officer knows very well that no company will keep a seat/space for you for so long. "I believe that's what went wrong here" PERSONAL ASSET AND FINANCIAL ESTABLISHMENT - Since you have being working for so long now did you include your salary bank statement?, Because the Visa officer is very much interested in your finances, to know what you have achieved for the past 10years as a banker. - Do you have any landed property in your name? Lastly, you need to prove all this listed to the visa officer. Better still, i'll advice you go through the EXPRESS ENTRY as you have high chances of securing a PR with your 10years working experience, then you won't pay high for international tuition fees. You will migrate as permanent residence of Canada(PR) possibly you can invite your family and friends to join you. So I best advise you explore the express entry thread and enjoy the goodies there. I hope you find the above information helpful regarding your visa refusal. Warm Regards, Frank! 5 Likes 1 Share |

Pahpahjay: I best suggest you go for paper route as there are VFS workers to review and arrange your documents properly before submission, they will also assist you in rectifying any possible errors which you omitted on your file. #They don't help correct your SOP. |

Papa111: Hello, Get your sponspor pay your tuition fees and transfer your living expenses into your dorm account. With this the Visa officer will see that funds are in convertible currency and readily exportable. Good luck! |

Please i would like gurus in the house to put me through applying for visa with an infant with US passport. Do i apply alone, and just state in my Sop that she's a baby i need to go with her. Do i apply with her, since she's a US citizen and doesn't require a visa, will I submit her passport and do medicals for her. Please those who have gone through this should put me through, read different views in previous threads. Thanks. Cc Nogen #it will end in praise. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Moley22(m): 12:38pm On Jan 10, 2018 |
bbclue:Bank statements have to be a month prior to submission or the month of submission(not more than a month old before submitting) and has to be 6months. October is old and may not appear valid again. 1 Like |

Hello Guys Pls i need ur help on dis, i've started my visa app and i am having some issues like: 1. Surname: my Dad is my sponsor and there is a difference in our Surname as in, he does use Anifowose as his and i do use Anifowos'h'e as mine right after my secondary sch and i even did an affidavit and news paper publication for correction of name in my Waec result which has mistakes frm Anifowose to Anifowos'h'e which i used for my Int'l passport n ND certificate and some other docs so, the question is wouldn't the VO think the Anifowose which is my Dad's n Anifowos'h'e which mine are completely different surnames? Cause, Anifowos'h'e is also wat my Mum is using. 2. Gaps histories: i finished my Sec Sch in 2007 and gained an admission into Kwara State University in 2010 which i later dropped out in 2012/13. I enrolled into Laspotech in 2013 and finished my course in 2016 and i have been working with my Dad since then. So the point is i have 5-6yrs gaps which is frm 2008company would have added Kwara State Uni which i dropped out from but, i have no prove 2 back it up, proves like d Admission letter i was given back den n d results frm 100lvl - 200lvl which i have misplaced. So i planned on adding 3yrs out of d 6yrs gaps, as working for my Dad as an internship for his company but, i dnt knw wat 2 use 2 cover up d remaining 3yrs left cause, i dnt think any VO would buy d lies of working for 6yrs as an internship under his/her Dad's company since the person finished his/her sec sch education. Pls guys, any idea of what do use and proves to cover up for the 3yrs gaps? Or should i just say i used d whole 6yrs for internship under d same company which d VO would think, its not possible ? Pls guys, what do i do about this complexity? Pls help a brother out o |

Frankrobbn1: Sorry Bro, there is something i don't understand, my Dad is my sponsor and he owns a company which am working for from 2016 up till date and he is paying me salary, but he will be the one to sponsor me for the whole 2yrs program. So d question is, is it a must he deposit some money into my acct before i submit my Bank Statements for prove of working with him since he usually pay his workers through online transfer and not pay slips. Or it doesn't matter how much i have in my bank acct since am using my Dad as my sponsor? And if its a must, how much is the least i should have in my account transfered by him? And how can get an account for the convertible currency like you mentioned above? Thanks |

Nyinyez7: Hello dear, from what I have observed here is this. Your infant with US citizenship doesn't need a visa. Just mention that you will be going with her in your SOP, state the arrangement for child care and show enough funds. Wishing you the very best. NB send a PM to Nogen. You will find her quite helpful. 3 Likes |

SamReinvented: Okay, i mean there is a 6yrs of gaps in my histories after d completion on my sec school before gained admission into Laspotech in 2013 and i planned on stating dat i used 3yrs out of it as an internship at my Dad's company with prove (Internship letter) so i am thinking of what to use with proves for the 3yrs left. And about the surname issue btwn i and my sponsor (Dad) he do use Anifowose but, i do use Anifowos'h'e in all my docs, so i wanna know if this is gonna complicate my app or not? |

Papa111: Don't submit too heavy SOA that makes it incredible. Almost all the guys submitting statement of accounts reading 148 million balance for example, I noticed have been consistently getting denied. If you are a sponsored or self sponsoring student, Submit a reasonable SOA that doesn't make you the object of suspicion by a VO. By reasonable I mean 5million to 50 million. Don't create unnecessary suspicion for yourself by submitting a statement of account most people in their lifetimes have not seen. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 3:08pm On Jan 10, 2018 |
Sleemzy13: Gaps are not a problem if you can adequately fill them up doing something productive. Leave no gaps unaccounted for even if it's just a month you stayed at home looking for a job, you are required to declare it. Use an affidavit or notarized statement to correct the discrepancy in name. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 3:20pm On Jan 10, 2018 |
Sleemzy13: Paying tuition fees or doing any kind of transfer is not a requirement. They will tell you if they want you to pay school fees. Many have been approved showing only sponsor's bank statement, which is really the only requirement. Paying school fees and getting your sponsor to transfer 10k dollars for living expenses into a personal domiciliary helps a lot , but not a guarantee for a visa. Not paying and doing the transfer too doesn't prevent you from getting visa. An irony for you to go figure on how CIC operates. I will advice people pay and do the 10k transfer only if sponsor is not immediate family member, but a third party. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Frankrobbn1: 4:14pm On Jan 10, 2018 |
Sleemzy13: Hi sleemzy, Using your father as a sponsor is a credible one to your application, as the Visa officer acknowledge parental sponsorship other than a distant relative. Since you're working for him, you can add your bank statement to prove evidence that you earn something and also be guided that there are no cut off money figure that should appear on your salary bank statement. Your father being your sponspor is a good one, you can have him pay your full tuition fees and you will be fine, so you can tackle INSUFFICIENT FUNDS .We mainly encourage applicant that use distant relative as a sponsor to make sure that their sponsor pay their full tuition fees and transfer their living expenses to their account prior submission. But your case is other way round. So you don't need to worry about that okay. Note: Your father should submit both his company bank statement and personal savings account very important, as visa officer don't regard Company bank statement compared to his personal savings account. Also what jnyuwa02 said is correct! All the best! |
