It's good to always talk with facts and figures, did he score 8 pks in the just concluded season? Let's stop passing assumptions as fact or use it to form stereotype. Katsina only scored one goal from the PK BTW. That they fired blank in their first match doesn't mean they don't know how to score, firing blank isn't peculiar to Nigerian home based strikers alone. You doubt me? Ask slimani Vardy for sometimes. Morata Benzema etc Humility017: 2 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: bro's i noticed the guy too, the guy moves with the ball well and attacks space without the ball but faleye has something about him, he sabi score. i think na ubong friday go hear am but him na locals favorite. The coach his a lucky guy to have a management that is ambitious, he's got players that he can afford to play different formations within a strong attacking setup. 1 Like |

Kog45:sir...which of the main team of the super eagles are you referring to...? these present crop of players will bury those chances this guys missed yesterday... please we should be truthful...right from the preparatory stage they have been awful... no attacking bite...I blame yusuf...because this buys seems to be better organised than the keshi boys even the oliseh players...the problem of salisu's men since ages have been their inability to score goals even an empty net... trying to exonerate them on the filmsy excuse that the Rwandans were tough...holds no water...their inability to bury one out of those chances in the first half...inspired the Rwandans to come out of their shells to attack the super eagles... I expect them to play better...in the next match... |

What about the Nigerian NPFL players plying their games in the Turkish league and other leagues out there, aren't they scoring or what's with you guys and rubbishing anything NPFL? Using one game to judge a striker or even one tournament is single-minded to me. tbaba1234: |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by somehow: 10:27am On Jan 16, 2018 |
Sometimes first game of the tourney is mostly filled with errors. Not peculiar with the Change eagles. I thought by now, some of us would have at least be more exposed when it comes to the mechanics of football and tournament. Not like they didn't create chances, just were too anxious that they missed all the created chances. Make una cut these guys some slacks..haba. tbaba1234: |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by somehow: 10:28am On Jan 16, 2018 |
Just imagine the double standard. They ignore those directly from the NPFL doing well out there but use those not so good outside to judge the whole league. Why are we like this? Cherry picking is not so evolve. Kog45: 2 Likes |

somehow:you didn't comprehend my post...at all. I said..suppose they score two of that penalties they had against pillars... you talking as if what I typed was far from the truth... this CHAN team is a reflection of the state of our league and nothing else.... you can try paint it white...but deep down we all know the truth.... the funny part is should the away team be leading even by 2 goals to nil...one demon will enter into at least one away team player to gift away penalties to the opponent... one of the ways kano pillars were able to maintain 10 years unbeaten home record....even the nest European clubs doesn't boast of such record... |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by somehow: 10:32am On Jan 16, 2018 |
Akwa UTD should wait till they go away, then you can judge them better. Remember their home turf is the best in the league so let's wait and see them play elsewhere. Too bad MFM lost badly away but they Will bounce back. Kano pillars and Enyimba another tough cookies to chew.. remember some of their best players are missing in action (CHAN) so with time, we will see the real contenders. kentebemoney: |

Humility017:My man am not exonerating them but guys are just too hard on them as if the team is new to us,check their performance at WAFU not really inspiring History cannot be erased that the main eagles though not this present eagles are not that fantastic against the Rwanda team cos the record are there and i can only talk on that not assuming. |

Did you watch the match? Are you sure if the PKs are not worth it? What is wrong with awarding the PKs? Do you know how many PKs are awarded in la liga? Do you know how many PKs Ronaldo scores per season? Nothing wrong with scoring pks or getting awarded PKs as long as they are worth it. Nothing peculiar to our league alone, I know it's not smooth like the one in the major leagues but no matter how often its bad-mouthed every day and night, the bad-mouthing won't turn it good overnight. The same players we condemn here go abroad to replace other strikers abroad. Blame not the players but the game. Humility017: 1 Like |

The Lads ain't that bad as some Folks are making it seems like. The Rwandans were poor because our CHAN Eagles made them poor. Let's assume the Rwandans were in Control for the whole 90mins, we would completely have written off the Team. Besides, had the Chances well converted and we weren't unfortunate to hit the Bar three Times, I believe we would have been praising the Team and their Handlers. The Weather, the Pitch Condition also affected the Lads, and I'm certain the Story will change in the next Match! |

MetalJigsaw:the league have seriously retrogressed I rememeber when it all started in 2003 I enjoyed every bit of it...then bendel insurance (benin arsenal) then osas omokaro and sharks fc where my favorite clubs...the then League chairman Chief Obaseki did much wit his managerial tricks.. the league was eye catching..I remember then I was a regular reader of complete and today sports just to follow up the league performance.... it came to a point GLO had to fight wit MTN to keep up wit the sponsorship of the league...the league was progressing..and it reflected in the continental success of enyimba FC... I lost faith in the league...reason because of the gifting of penalties and home team must win syndrome.... I remember one match involving kano pillars in sani abacha stadium....I won't like talk much on it |

somehow: you are talking as if the npfl league is new to me...I started watch this league prior you even started...I rememeber one of the match involving kano pillars...they were loosing that match by a goal nil...all of a sudden one of the specatators entered into the pitch..slapped the ref and asking him to award a penalty even when it was obvious that it wasn't an offense... the referee for fear of his life awarded a penalty and they equalised... that and many more i saw...made me lost faith in the league... I wasn't surprised when I watch MFM celebrate an away draw against plateau United as if they've won the league.... they all go play away wit the mindset of getting a draw at best... |

Ebuehi Signs Pre-Contract With Benfica, ADO Den Haag Get Only Training Compensation ADO Den Haag right-back Tyronne Ebuehi has penned a preliminary contract with Portuguese Primeira Liga giants Benfica, meaning the Dutch club will not be paid a transfer fee. Portuguese sports daily Record writes on its print edition that the Nigeria international has inked a contract with Benfica for five years, which will be activated on July 1, 2018 when he would have become a free agent. ADO Den Haag will demand training compensation from Benfica as Ebuehi was on the books of the Eredivisie side for around five years and he's yet to celebrate his 23rd birthday. Championship outfit Norwich City, Olympiakos and R.S.C. Anderlecht were credited with an interest in the 22-year-old defender before his trip to the Portuguese capital to undergo a medical with Benfica. Ebuehi impressed in the Super Eagles 4-2 win over Argentina two months ago and has been tipped to make Nigeria's World Cup roster. He is represented by former Feyenoord midfielder, Dutch agent Wessel Weezenberg. **Ifeanyi Emmanuel Source: http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=26194 5 Likes |

Another assumption, you started watching the league prior to when I started? Well even if you started watching the league during the era of BBC lions, that still doesn't excuse your generalization. No league is blessed with perfect players but to paint the whole league bad doesn't tell well on your judgement. Humility017: You saw a match where a fan entered, slapped the ref and asked him to award a PK? Were you the fan or he was using a mic to say all these? Lastly, what year, what season, which venue and against what opponent? |

Injured Moses Simon To Spend At Least One Month On The Sidelines Super Eagles winger Moses Simon faces four to six weeks on the sidelines after suffering an injury to the ligaments of the right ankle The Gent star got injured during a friendly game between his club and Nürnberg exactly a week ago in Spain. Simon's injury is a big blow to manager Yves Vanderhaeghe who won't be able to count on the services of the winger for the upcoming Belgian First Division A match against Lokeren. In addition, the Super Eagle will miss games against Antwerp, Club Brugge, AS Eupen and Sint-Truiden while he is doubtful to face Mechelen and Waasland-Beveren. This season, the former AS Trencin ace has played 22 games in all competitions, scoring five goals. Samuel Kalu was red-carded against Anderlecht in Gent's last game before the winter break and is ineligible to face Lokeren on Sunday. **Igho Kingsley Source: http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=26195 |

You want me to answer this? Go and find out where all the players (known ones) from the NPFL play outside Nigeria and see if they aren't being used by their clubs. The foreign leagues we are always talking about, those who make these league thick are actually the foreigners there not even their local players Humility017: |
