Congratulations to you.
Yes you're on track. Go with your International passport, photocopy of the data page, the passport request instruction, and the Yellow slip you were given when you did your biometrics.
You don't need to pay any additional fees, except the SMS alert charge which is optional (#460)

Congratulations again.

Hello, house,

please, i need clarification.

I got a request for my Passport. do I go with only my passport, the letter asking for my passport and the other documents I was given after biometrics? And do I have to pay any money at VAC? because I checked the website and I saw 10k for taking my documents to the Canadian embassy in Lagos. please help I want to submit tomorrow.

Thank You.

**Applicants for Canadian visas will be checked against U.S. databases**

Saw this and would like to confirm how true it is because i have a dual passport and have once applied for U.S visa on one of my passport and was denied 5 years ago. I didn't declare the denial in my Canadian visa form because i am applying with my second passport.. should i be worried? Genuine Opinions and criticism willl he appreciated

You're big trouble Bro. They will find out using your bio-metric information, name and date of birth, and your punishment will be 5years bar from entering to Canada. When did you apply? A letter of apology may not help as they are not obligated to accept your 'apology'. Since they have not sent you a "fairness letter" to commence you exclusion process for misrepresentation, IMMEDIATELY send a letter to the visa office informing them that you wish to WITHDRAW your application. Thereafter you can re-apply.

Good morning bro, I am sure the photocopy guy where I printed this forms made mistake by hitting the wrong button and change from No to Yes on the part where it ask have you taken a test from a designated testing agaency to access your proficiency in English or French? Now I want to reapply and change it to NO. Any implication

Reapply? Have you submitted already? or the mistake was from your previous application?

Hello
First of all I'd advise to ask if you can apply foe your visa within the US. You could contact the Canadian embassy in the US to clarify this.
If you can, just do it in the US.... You may have to move your return date tho, but my guess is that the processing time should be faster in the US. And if possible, you could move to Canada from the US
Hope this helps....

Cc: @lovelywings what type of visa to the US do you have? if it is visiting visa then you can't apply from the US but if you have a study visa then you can apply from the US. Using visiting visa to a country to apply is a RED flag and won't help your case

Hello travel experts in the aoz,
I wnt to apply 4 work nd study visa in Canada for Masters degree bt I graduated wit 2.6 cgpa nd I'm lukin at PGD as a remedial program b4 proceeding for masters bt my traveling agent said isn't possible unless I retake my Bsc degree...pls is dis true dat i shud retake my Bsc or there is a way out...ur advice is needed, tnkz.
First, PGD is not a prerequisite to MSc in Canada, so if you go for PGD you won't be able to go for MSc with that. But you can search for schools that will accept your undergraduate grade for MSc program, though your chances are slim but not impossible. Best of luck

Congratulations, did you apply via online or paper route? Well to answer your question, you won't be asked to pay anyone when submitting your passport yourself.

Sir how sure are you? What lies the fate of sum1 who has a 2.2 and cannot get into masters directly because admission into most Canadian universities are very competitive then goes thru the PGD route with the intention of finally going for a masters?

Hi guys, great job so far with the help.

I have another inquiry and I'll love expert opinion.

I applied to the University of Waterloo some time ago for admission in Fall 2018. I got a reply from my supervisor that I've been accepted into the masters program with full funding and the admission letter and funding details will be sent to me later.

Considering the relationship I've built with my professor, he stated that he wants me to come to Canada in May( 4 months before resumption) and begin work with him and get a good grip of research before school resumes but I told him it would be impossible as I'm currently serving and would finish in late June or early July.

The question I'm asking now is how possible will it be for me to goto Canada in July when my program starts in September?

Would my travel be covered by my student visa (which I don't even know how long it might take to process) or would I have to apply for a visiting visa for the two months before my program starts?

I would really love your opinions guys.

Hello, house,

Thanks for your prompt response and I have submitted my passport. However, I still have questions to ask about the Universite de Montreal.

I am going for my LLM and the agent that helped with the admission process got me LLM business law (taught in French) for winter 2018 and part of my fees paid. I do not understand French and the next class with LLM business law (taught in English) starts in September 2018. I have decided to defer till then. But what I don't understand now is does the Canadian visa have a time limit to leave Nigeria once given? As I am considering staying back to work till then and secondly can I change my course from Nigeria or is it better to be in Canada to change it?

Thank you.

And what would be the reason for withdrawal? I hardly think this is the solution-withdrawal- as if he reapplies again, previous withdrawn application would be revisited again. Best thing is to write a letter citing oversight to the question asked. At least that one would preemptively prevent receiving a fairness letter and as a result there would be no ban. If refused he can apply again. And who knows, he might even be approved if he meets eligibility requirements. The only issue I worry about is discretion, even if he apologizes on the grounds of mistake, even if he meets eligibility requirements, VO can still use his/her discretion to deny. But at least that is better than a ban. And on a second application if correct answer is given, the issue of previous wrong answer would have died by then. So yeah sending a letter preemptively is the best choice. I don't endorse people lying, but given this situation, this is the best move to make.
