Whats's going to be Iwobi's fate now that Mkhitaryan has arrived and Auba to be announced soon?

Iwobi will get playing time. He just needs to keep getting goals and assists.

I fear he would find playing time hard to come by if getting goals and assists are the requisites for regular playing time. Mkhi is neithor Welbeck nor Walcott

Iwobi got games when Sanchez and Ozil were in the team, is Mkhi better than the pair?

Even with Alexis and Ozil, he was getting time. Mkhi replaces Sanchez.. Wenger appears to have a lot of faith in him.

its understandable that arsenal only had Sanchez, Ozil , Iwobi, Welbeck and Walcott. Only two of these players would play beind the main striker which could possibly be giroud or lacazette and the two main players were sanchez and ozil. Iwobi being ahead of welbeck and walcott is most likely to come on for either sanchez or ozil. Worth noting he started some few games ahead of sanchez. Thanks to sanchez's fall out with wenger. Now there's mkhi and then Piere albeit subject to official unveiling. Dont forget aubameyang can play from the flanks too. That makes it 3 players ahead of iwobi in the pecking order. I'm now wondering where the game time would come from - cup games perhaps....... Another iheanacho scenario panning out

mkhi replaces sanchez; fine. Who would aubameyang replace? Lacazette?

you guys are saying the same thing. One person is just speaking in a language that everyone understands -- not physics. if you have a slow acceleration, you can't react quickly for pace. Ogu is a DM/CM. The question is can he make up for that deficiency (if it is) with other good attributes, just as Mikel has done over the years?

realpoacher:

The thing is when people say Ogu is slow, I laugh... Lolz

There is a big difference between Speed and acceleration. What Ogu lack is acceleration not speed! sad

Ogu is tall, he has long legs, he can run, for each strides he makes Agu with his short legs will make two. He can chase down a player with speed, but for real, he is slow to pick up that speed.... In order words, he has a slow acceleration

Let Arsenal sign Messi, Iwobi will somehow still find sufficient playing time. As long as wenger remains the manager. The boy is one of wenger's achievement .
And you people think Aubameyang will play on the wing at Arsenal? A guy that has scored 20 plus goals for the past 3 seasons at least?. I see Lacazette getting rotated between the wing and bench.

I hear Dortmund want Giroud as part of the deal. If that happens, nothing really changes for Iwobi.

If Wenger gets Aubemeyang he would most likely switch to a 3 man attack, Aubemeyang - Lacazette - Mhikitarian. Iwobi will still get as much playing time as he was getting before the transfer window.

or he might switch to 4-2-3-1...

playing oezil behind striker, mikhi and iwobi @ the flanks and then auba at the center... I don't think auba is bought for the wings... he is bought as competition or backup for lacazette in my own..

bottom line is, I don't see a striker of Auba's status (who was courted by Real Madrid as recently as last summer) coming to Arsenal to play on the wings because of a certain Lacazette . For me, the looser in the Auba deal is lacazette. Mkhi will not play in every match, that's assuming that he even regains his best form which is not going to happen anytime soon, considering he will have to adapt to a new style of play. Iwobi is not in any immediate danger of getting fastened to any bench at arsenal, at least for now. He is not Iheanacho, he is one of "them" at Arsenal, nobody in Arsenal will forget him on the bench like guardiola did nacho.

moreover, Mkhi's best position is not on the wings, he loves to play just behind the striker, so when he hits top form he is more in competition will Ozil than Iwobi

There you go pointing accusations fingers.

Did i say it is not a great deal for the player?
I don't just believe in his abilities anymore. That is it.

If he goes there and start banging in goals week in week out, good for him. I am just being real, I don't expect much from him in the La Liga. He is past his prime. And I hope he proves me wrong.

na wa o, how can you say I am pointing accusations fingers and then admit to basically not liking him? or are you telling me that not believing in a players abilities means u like the player? Bottom line is that Ideye has a lifeline in la liga and it is left to him to perform

I have followed Arsenal long enough to be convinced of his having enough game-time. His job now is to produce. He has started getting a few goals and assists, he needs to keep that going.

Look at you.

Please what is the correlation between not believing in one's abilities and not liking the person? undecided

That is typically the easiest way out. "If you don't believe in a player's abilities you either hate or dislike that player".

If someone calls for the return of Osaze and Ike Uche and I say I don't believe in their current abilities. That means I dislike the two players right?

Please desist from this form of unfounded accusations.

You that claim to defend home based players but does not believe in Ezenwa's abilities. From your logic you either hate or dislike the player.

Thank you for that analogy.

Believing in a player's abilities now boils down to whether you like the player or not. Maybe that is his own yardstick for choosing which players to defend or not.

Now I see. grin

Nobody is calling for Ideye's inclusion here. We were talking about him signing a deal, what does his ability have to do with that? I said u admitted to basically not liking him and like always u have latched on to one word just to prove ur point. I never said u hate the man or have an issue with him. If u don't believe in his ability u don't like him as a player simple as that.
