This man, you don't have anything to say again. Go for lunch abeg.

I will need lunch and a drink because with the rate at which you keep shifting the goalpost we will be playing American football very soon.

this flop thing you are mentioning, towards the end of Ideye's West Brom career he actually started banging in the goals. I remember at some point he had 8goals in 11 games and one commentator during an FA cup game(I think it was either a semifinal or quaterfinal in which he scored too) was saying that he is now paying back his fee in full. Then he went to Olympiacos and basically made the Greek league's scoring chart his own. I am actually scratching my head as to why you think he flopped anywhere

Ideye that joined Westbrom on a record signing in September and took till late December before he registered his first goal.

He had a good spell some time in February and scored 6 goals.

His last 2 goals came in an FA Cup game later in the season after the club had already reached a decision to sell him off.

A record signing that scored only 9 goals in all competition even despite the fact that he had so much playing time.

I need not tell you about the level of competitiveness in the Greek league.

Continue scratching your head. Hahaha

Who is shifting goal post?

Finish eating one bag of Garri if you want. Next time you don't jump unto a discussion you don't know the basis of.

Ideye scored 9goals for a Tony Pulis side from open play. Prior to his arrival most of West Brom's goals were from setpieces, Ideye has never been an aerial beast yet he managed 9goals in a single season, his first season, I need not remind you that he was adapting to a system that was way different yet he managed 9goals. Kudos to him for moving on, that for me is not flopping.

Olypiacos defeated Arsenal....so?

or he might switch to 4-2-3-1...

playing oezil behind striker, mikhi and iwobi @ the flanks and then auba at the center... I don't think auba is bought for the wings... he is bought as backup for lacazette in my own..

I still doubt that lacazette will bench subs

Although, it going to be a tough fight for the no 9 position

These super eagles team B ehhh... I tire for them. If they know that they won't score today, they should not raise person bp. Come to think of it, only Sunday Faleye has a fighting spirit. The others are poo. Ezenwa have not faced tough opponent. Let him continue feeling like local champion.

Wilson Oruma has been provided medical help, a job as an assistant to the under 20 team and a world cup 2018 ambassador. Amaju Pinnick's NFF deserve a lot of credit.

Brown Ideye is a player I have followed since 2007.

Much was expected of him as a young player then. The only time he put up a descent showing was at the 2013 AFCON but what followed that at the Confed Cup? A big flop. Westbrom made a record signing for him even when he was still is his relatively descent form and he flopped.

Apart from the 2013 he has never had it good with the GWG. He is not just that kind of player you would be excited over a move to Malaga.

I do not rate Nwakaeme either but I will take Kayode over Ideye.

You forgot his Greece stint Scoring great goals

[quote author=tbaba1234 post=64434629]

Even with Alexis and Ozil, he was getting time. Mkhi replaces Sanchez.. Wenger appears to have a lot of faith in him.[/quot

For those ppl who doesn't understand what iwobi does for arsenal or why Wenger has a lot of faith in him!!!

Passing accuracy in final third
Mins per chance created
Mins per assist
Olivier Giroud 61.76% 51.4 0 assists
Alex Iwobi 81.23% 44.3 465
Alexandre Lacazette 67.88% 74.2 568.6
Mesut Ozil 82.61% 23.9 255.6
Alexis Sanchez 66.1% 29.5 502.3
Danny Welbeck 77.24% 78.2 704
So there you have it.

I referenced it from BBC sports..you can see Iwobi creates a chance every 44.3minutes!!! His team mates don't just convert every time!!
The only person that rivals him is Ozil with 23.9mins..now you know Wenger likes him and keeps playing him..

Even with Aubu and Miki in the team, Iwobi would still get game time..

And Rohr has since dropped him from amongst the strikers?

The primary responsibility of striker is to hit the net. Even AMs and wingers are expected to score goals talk more of an out and out striker.

Any player from the forwards can hold up play. Ighalo, Iwobi, and Mikel do that a lot.

Sir I just wanna chip in sth... There was an interview of ideye dropped here some weeks back... Think he intentional asked Rohr to dropped him cos of his challenges he is having in his club...

And told Rohr that immediately he started playing regularly he can invite him again...
He wanted to be invited on merit level...
Ideye won't be a bad addition if he performed very well in malaga...

could it be that there is dearth of good strikers in the npfl?
I will blame salisu for this woes
watching this team play shows no difference made from the wafu cup team late last year....
the annoying coach refuse to work on the team weakness... which was failure to score goals..

I wonder how many games Okpotu needs to play before Salisu realises that he is not good enough. I also wonder how many games we have to play before the coach ditches the long balls
