Please, can we stop these silly 'what if' arguments? What if Mikel had gone to United instead of Chelsea? What if Iheanacho had gone to Porto instead of Man City? Man City ruined him blah blah blah....

People of God, do you know how many Nigerians have gone to Porto? What has become of them? The likes of Chidera Ezeh, have they become world class or anywhere close to Kelechi? Have they even nailed regular spots anywhere?

Let us stop all these useless arguments on what could have been but never was, and yes, goldfish80 this message is for you and all the other "he could have been" people

Me sef, I should have attended Unilag and should have been a graduate by now, but see where I dey.

There are no guarantees that another path could have been better, every single one of us on this thread must have made choices that perhaps did not go well, but does that mean the other option could have been better? No.

So, please, let us be factual, talk about the here and now, by the way, mocking any of these players makes you look like a petty hater, even if it is just to rile anyone up. Everyone has their own shortcomings in life, just because yours is not on display for us to drag you with does not mean it doesn't exist

Remember that, whenever you feel like being petty

BUt I was on my own when you people started mentioning me, probably to mock me because Kelechi scored. Did you see me randomly bring up Kelechi matter? You in particular was all over the place throwing words around. You should heed your own advice.
By the way, was Chidera Eze ever in the class of Kelechi? Was Chidera Eze the player of the tournament? Was he the African young player of the year? So because things didn't work out of Eze,definitely it wouldn't work out for his more talented team mate? I really tire for una.

You have been insulting Iheanacho many times here, and at this point I will say this is no longer funny. You might have to tone it down a bit. If you have any personal vendetta against him or his family please take it away from here.

He represents us as a country now and as such we can deservedly defend him.

At the bolded, the current cost of a Fiat Punto is Rs 7.8 Lakh which is an equivalent of $10,000

Whereas, the least cost of a Lamborghini is $200,000

Are you insuanating that the worth of Mpappe is 20x higher than Iheanacho?

Looking at their respective sign on fees this season

Mpappe from Monaco to PSG = €180M

Iheanacho from Man City to Leicester city = £25M

Guy your hate for this boy will consume you o!

Firstly, having a objective clear cut non biased assessment of a player is not prejudice, it is called being REAL, unless you define that as HATE.

KC may indeed be the best striker we have it does not make him World class.

Secondly, player valuations are not static they are dynamic. Considering KC season so far which has been far from outstanding to be diplomatic. Do you think he is still valued at £25million

I would say KC will be in the £10-15 million range at best. Although the comparison done between Mbappe and KC was done tongue and cheek. But it's still somewhat valid, again not hate but a reality check so we do not put to much expectation on our very good players.

There are quite a few when watching a game it seems they watch the individual player and not the game. However, but not with a holistic objective approach but an emotively biased one.

That's why that are unable to appreciate the game and not just the player they support who can do no wrong.

KC is a very good player undoubtedly but world class not yet, there is a lot of work to be done.

I noticed KC instinctively scored with his right foot that's improvement and he needs to improve more.

Critical analysis is be appreciated from content not assumed negative intent to do otherwise shows a lack of understanding and may I dare say immaturity.

A note of caution for KC at Leicester, time an opportunity waits for nobody. There is a very new kid on the block called Diabate on his first game for Leicester he was impressive. So effectively KC has to up his game even further because he has clear direct competition.

And yes I agree with your analogy about the Fiat Punto. Not in derogatory sense but as a sharp required reality check that we have good players but are way off being world class yet.

I watched the the game yesterday and noticed Diabatte in a strike partnership with Kelechi. I was taken aback when I came here and read that Kelechi was playing as a lone forward. Even the commentator mentioned the partnership could be Leicester city's future.
Seriously, I have been enjoying my Sunday with Roger winning his 20th grand slam, dropping just one set all tournament. I don't want to be dragged into an unnecessary bickering over a Fiat Punto.

How can a 4-2-3-1 show that Nacho and Diabate were having a two pronged twin attack partnership? Is someone suddenly gone deliberately blind because of a misunderstood commentator's comments? He was surely speaking of the future naa.... Abi Sir Goldfish80 , you just misunderstood abi?

I didn't agree to you calling him useless as a lone striker/top 9/CF.... Noooooo way Sir... So don't drag my name into your subtle lies. He can play as rhe striker and the SS...

Why taking the lame role of victim now that you have been exposed as being wrong on Nacho? ABEG... SAY IT AS IT IS FOR ONCE ON THIS LAD WITH A SENSE OF BALANCE. That is what makes one a good analyst. Haba!

I believe you must have watched football long enough to know that formations could vary as a game went by. Posting a spreadsheet to suit your narrative and probably con people who didn't watch the game is quite an overreach. Anyone who saw the game last night must have seen Diabatte play very close to Kelechi. Look at Diabatte' s 1st goal and tell me what you saw. The commentator talked aboit their partnership in the 15th minute or so. You can verify.

By the way, who says a "converted" striker cannot have a decent game every now and then, depending on opposition? Morata had some decent games this season. The question is how well will he perform in a tight game? There goes your answer....

Yes, he did have a fine game on the overall. Even nailed an 82% passing accuracy in the final third.

Puel already said he is not sending Nacho out on loam this January that he needs him and will possibly give him more gametime this second half of the season. Well, I am looking forward to it and hope he is not just restricting Nacho to Cup games.

For the World Cup, I still feel Ighalo is our first choice go to Russia. And he is Rohr's first choice too but depending on the formation employed, we could see Nacho start too like in a 3-5-2. It all depends on tactics now to determine who starts and who sits on the bench but on the overall, I still feel Ighalo is first choice. Nacho is next in line.

And yes, Iwobi, VicMoses, And Iheanacho are super keys to the Super Eagles attack... with a Mikel behind them. I know what you are thinking. wink

I know how much you are loving the melody you hear when you imagine the music produced by the Mikel behind Iwobi-Iheanacho-Moses combo... cheesy

See ehn... if we want to see Nacho, Iwobi and Moses together in the attack all at once with Mikel from midfield... then we can only propose a proper 4-3-3 with Mikel as parr of a midfield three and the front line being a fluid one of Iwobi-Iheanacho-VicMoses.

Or it could be a 4-3-1-2... like a 4-3-3 variant. Here the top two would be Iwobi and Iheanacho as false 9s. Victor Moses as the man in a free role behind them as that "1" and Mikel, Ndidi and one other (Ogu/Onazi likely) as the three CMs with one of the CM being much more defensive minded ofcos, keeping that shape in front of the back four.

It all depends... but in a 4-2-3-1, Ighalo starts. In a 4-5-1, Still Ighalo. In a 4-4-2... well time will tell really... we got options shaa. Hopefully they all stay fit till then.

Sorry I had to go back to this post from last night. I didn't really have time to read it in details.

You are right about Rohr having Ighalo as HIS first choice. But for ME it is Iheanacho. Iheanacho gives me more attacking options. True that Ighalo is most suitable for a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 (lone CF). But Iheanacho is a more versatile forward who in addition to CF can play as an SS in a 4-4-2, behind a striker in a 4-4-1-1 and also as a Pseudo 9 in a 3-5-2 or 4-4-2.

I still insist on seeing that Iheanacho-Iwobi pseudo 9 combo again.

Bringing in Moses into the set up now, I love your proposition of Moses playing behind the duo but I would rather we have Iheanacho and Moses as the false 9 and Iwobi behind them. You know pseudo 9 also have you to cover from the flanks (false winger) of the box and this is where Moses and Iheanacho are deadliest. Also Moses playing as false 9 will give the liberty to Idowu and Shehu/Ebuehi to run up and down the flanks.

One of the major strength of this team is the pacey attacks. And we need to maximize it.
